This is book 1 of the Lycan Series. "The time will come when this vibrant and happy look on your face will turn into a gloomy expression filled with self-hatred." "I will turn you against your mate and make him hate you for the rest of your life; do you dare me?" Camilla Rasort was asked by the Alpha Killan's girlfriend, Alina Mellow, but she remained silent. "I am giving you a month, Camilla, and I'll make sure you suffer at your mate's hands." "I'll make him despise you, turn you into a slave, and your mere presence will disgust him." "Not only that, I'll have him banish you, and you'll forever forget if he was once your mate when he'll be in my arms!"  Well, she meant it...                                                         * * * In this mind-gripping novel, join Camilla Rasort, an eighteen-year-old girl who is sold to a cruel alpha as his mistress who turns out to be her mate but later banished from the pack by him under the accusations that she poisoned the alpha's ex-girlfriend, who was now carrying his child, out of jealousy. She roams the city, doing any kind of job she can find, until her wolf comes out. After discovering she wasn't a werewolf at all but a Lycan who matures at the age of twenty, she returns to her pack for vengeance with the help of her childhood best friend, Ash Moon. The only thing holding her back is the little boy in her arms. He is the exact photocopy of the man she once called a mate and a husband. Will this little blessing hinder or speed her vengeful plans? Find out!

I slid under his arms, looking for a safe place to breathe. I noticed a playful smile on his lips, but chose to ignore it. “Will the change hurt?” I lowered my gaze and asked in a low whisper. “More than you can imagine, human…” The candor in his words made me raise my chin toward him. “How is the transformation?” He approached me again, speaking slowly. “First, your bones begin to break, throwing you to the ground.” His eyes were closed. “Then dense fur will grow all over your body. The elongation of the limbs, I find the most exciting part of the pain.” He teased with a flick of his tongue before continuing. “Then comes the shortening of the snout and the development of sharp claws and fangs.” I took a deep breath, trying to process what was coming. “Is there anything else I need to know?” I asked, my voice shaking. “Loss of control is imminent.” His eyes sparkled, as if he had traversed some hidden memory in his mind. “The thirst for blood is insatiable, the beast will dominate you, acting primarily on primal instincts. This will result in violent attacks on anyone or any animal in your path!” “Will I become irrational?” I covered my mouth, trying to control the knot that had formed in my throat. “How do you control it?” Laughing, he had already reached me and pulled me close, digging his claws not too deep into my hip, causing a groan of pain. “It takes strength, training, and having the goddess on your side, human…” He retracted the claws, leaving only one long one, and returned to my chin, scratching it and collecting a drop of blood. He licked it and smiled. “Don't worry, I'll be here for your whole trial…” “To make sure I die?” With tears in my eyes, I took a few more steps forward into his dangerous game, noticing that his breathing was a little heavier. “You remind me so much of her.” He murmured, pressing his forehead against mine. “To make sure your transformation doesn't get out of control and to witness the deity's choice.” With more pressure on my forehead, he forced me to take a few steps back in pain. “I'm scared…” I confessed, squeezing my hands together. The wolf remained mysteriously seated, not saying a word. Joint pains began, a twist in my stomach, and my ribs seemed to expand inside, as if to make room for a dog's soul. “Ouch, that hurts…” I groaned, squatting down and wrapping my arms around my stomach. “I don't want this…” I pleaded with teary eyes, looking at the Alpha in front of me. “Please, help me avoid this!”

My name is Katia; I want to find my fated mate and live a peaceful life raising our pups. The problem is I have holes in my memories and don’t understand who or what I am. I know I am a werewolf, but I am also something else. Rejection is the last straw! I am not worthy is the reason he gives. The pain doubles me over; my wolf is whimpering in my head, and tears are running down my face. I whispered my acceptance of his rejection and took off running. I ran through the pack house out across the green manicured lawn into the forest. "I'm sorry, my sweet girl," I say to my wolf. I'm sorry you have been stuck with me, and our life has been difficult. She whispers," It's not your fault, Katia." I don't know how long or far we ran, but we came to a cliff with a waterfall. The pain from the rejection is unbearable, and the hurt keeps pounding at me. I know I am missing something. Aza, my wolf, feels it, too; she says we are more than regular werewolves and are here for a reason. We cannot remember the reason. I stand staring at the water running over and down, creating the fall. I wonder what the reason is for the millionth time. Why can I or Aza not remember? Does it have something to do with the way others treat us? The way we have been sent to live with different people since the death of our parents? Does it have something to do with why my fated rejected me? I am tired of figuring out why our memories do not make sense. My sweet girl and I want peace, but we do not know how to obtain it. I stand staring into the oblivion of the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. So I stand there rejected, half a wolf, speaking with my Wolfie, my nickname for Aza, debating what we should do next. Someone was yelling my name from the direction I ran. I do not want to go back there. I hear laughter. Turning, I glance down over the cliff. There is another pack having a barbecue. The adults are laughing and watching the pups play. What looks to be the Alpha, beta, and gamma of the pack are in the water playing Marco Polo with some of the children. They look so happy and carefree. I want that. I wonder if Aza and I ever have a life like that.

"No! It can't be!" I let out an internal hiss. "He would not dare come here!" "What the f*ck, Zara!" Levi bumped into me and growled behind me. "Sorry," I mumbled, wide-eyed. "What's going on with-" Levi's voice faltered when my father turned away from us and approached his table, confirming my worst fears: Noah f*cking Flinch! "Is that?" Levi mind-linked, and I nodded my head. "What brings him here?" He mind-linked. "Come, come, have a seat, Zara," my father called out to me. "We have a lot to discuss." "Beta, you are welcome to sit," my father gestured toward the lover's couch near the wall. Levi cast a sidelong glance at Noah and shook his head. "Thank you, Alpha," Levi grinned stiffly and said. "However, I would prefer to be at Luna's side. "Very well," my father said. "Suite yourself." "Zara," he uttered next. "I understand that you are familiar with Alpha Noah." I forcefully swallowed the lump that had appeared in my throat, and I slowly nodded my head. "Great," my father said, sitting back in his chair. "Alpha Noah has also informed me that you are his fated mate." "What is your father talking about?" Levi growled over the mind-linked. "Is he your mate? How come you have not told me? Are you keeping secrets from me?" "Don't play the protective beta now," Kaya barked back at him, making Levi quiet. "You are giving me a bloody headache!" I gave a nod in response to most of the questions, staying silent throughout. "Superb, Alpha Noah has requested your hand." All the hair on my body rose. The b*st*rd was using my father to approach me. "Is that so?" I finally found my voice. Both my father and Alpha Noah nodded. "Interesting," I said as I stood up. "Were you told by Alpha Noah that he rejected me more than a year ago?" "He did what?" Levi roared behind me. "There is more," I said. "He rejected me in favor of a mate he chose." **** Zara Silverwood is a silver wolf descended from one of the most powerful packs on the continent. A year after he rejects her, her fated mate comes knocking on her door to tell her he is back to claim her. After Zara turns down his proposal, he goes behind her back and asks her father for her hand. The old Alpha agrees to the arrangement. Zara is unhappy and decides to handle things on her own. She informs her father that she has taken a chosen mate, her Beta, and her best friend, Levi—only he has a little secret. What will happen when Zara's second chance mate attends her and Levi's mating ceremony? Will he stop the proceedings and claim her as his mate? Or is Zara's destiny already set? A story about two broken hearts finding each other and getting s*ck*d into a web of lies and prophecies. Will Zara find the happiness she so deserves?
