After treacherous attacks from the Red Dragons, the Golden Dragons were almost eliminated from the face of the Earth, with only a few of them surviving and having to face decades of war against their persistent enemies. In the middle of the conflict, a new hope was found; one more surviving member of the Golden breed — Kemely. Except there was nothing they could do to take her from her current state of unconsciousness. Under the sun of her new home in Marbella, Kemy’s future was unclear as the only reality she knew were her dreams and her years of slumber. On the other side of the world, in the cold Alaska, Henry was very sure about his future. He is a Werewolf who is supposed to take the Beta’s daughter as his chosen mate and succeed his father as the Alpha of the Boreal Keepers Pack, one of the most ruthless packs on the continent. The Boreal Keepers Pack only knows power, how to crush their enemies, greed, and tradition. However, there is something they and their Alpha hate more than weakness: they hate dragons with passion. Henry changed his ways when he heard a call to his soul, a call from his long-sleeping mate. He didn’t know who she was or where she was; he only knew he had to find her. However, he never expected his mate to be Kemely, a Dragon. Will Henry leave his pack and his destiny to help bring his dragon mate back from her coma, or will he follow his father’s orders and wishes, and his pack’s ways? What will happen when the old feud between Dragons and Werewolves is challenged? Will destiny intertwine the ways of the Alpha’s son and his sleeping Dragon mate? Lana POV Today was our sixteenth birthday and of all the days my brother Alpha Ryker had to call an Alpha meeting on his twin sister’s birthday. To say we were p*ss*d off was an understatement. Arial and I watched from the upstairs window as Alpha’s from all over filed out of their cars before being greeted by our father and Ryker. My twin sister Arial hated the meetings just as much as me. It was one thing being twins, it was another being Lycan hybrid twins, and we always found that we copped the most stares. Once we came of age and didn’t get our wolves or shift, we knew we differed from our brother. Our mother was a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess, therefore, so are we. Our brother inherited most of our father’s traits, he shifted when he was twelve and was what we call an early bloomer, but he didn’t share my mother’s Hybrid gene. Yes, he was a direct descendant like us, but for some reason he only received certain traits while my sister and I were exactly like our mother. We had no wolves and were half vampire and half Lycan. We were both saddened when we didn't get our wolves. Ryker always spoke of how much he loved his wolf growing up. But we still had each other. Being twins means you always have another half, a best friend for life, and my sister and I were incredibly close. So close, my mother sometimes had trouble telling us apart, the only giveaway being that our scents were different slightly.

I slid under his arms, looking for a safe place to breathe. I noticed a playful smile on his lips, but chose to ignore it. “Will the change hurt?” I lowered my gaze and asked in a low whisper. “More than you can imagine, human…” The candor in his words made me raise my chin toward him. “How is the transformation?” He approached me again, speaking slowly. “First, your bones begin to break, throwing you to the ground.” His eyes were closed. “Then dense fur will grow all over your body. The elongation of the limbs, I find the most exciting part of the pain.” He teased with a flick of his tongue before continuing. “Then comes the shortening of the snout and the development of sharp claws and fangs.” I took a deep breath, trying to process what was coming. “Is there anything else I need to know?” I asked, my voice shaking. “Loss of control is imminent.” His eyes sparkled, as if he had traversed some hidden memory in his mind. “The thirst for blood is insatiable, the beast will dominate you, acting primarily on primal instincts. This will result in violent attacks on anyone or any animal in your path!” “Will I become irrational?” I covered my mouth, trying to control the knot that had formed in my throat. “How do you control it?” Laughing, he had already reached me and pulled me close, digging his claws not too deep into my hip, causing a groan of pain. “It takes strength, training, and having the goddess on your side, human…” He retracted the claws, leaving only one long one, and returned to my chin, scratching it and collecting a drop of blood. He licked it and smiled. “Don't worry, I'll be here for your whole trial…” “To make sure I die?” With tears in my eyes, I took a few more steps forward into his dangerous game, noticing that his breathing was a little heavier. “You remind me so much of her.” He murmured, pressing his forehead against mine. “To make sure your transformation doesn't get out of control and to witness the deity's choice.” With more pressure on my forehead, he forced me to take a few steps back in pain. “I'm scared…” I confessed, squeezing my hands together. The wolf remained mysteriously seated, not saying a word. Joint pains began, a twist in my stomach, and my ribs seemed to expand inside, as if to make room for a dog's soul. “Ouch, that hurts…” I groaned, squatting down and wrapping my arms around my stomach. “I don't want this…” I pleaded with teary eyes, looking at the Alpha in front of me. “Please, help me avoid this!”

My name is Katia; I want to find my fated mate and live a peaceful life raising our pups. The problem is I have holes in my memories and don’t understand who or what I am. I know I am a werewolf, but I am also something else. Rejection is the last straw! I am not worthy is the reason he gives. The pain doubles me over; my wolf is whimpering in my head, and tears are running down my face. I whispered my acceptance of his rejection and took off running. I ran through the pack house out across the green manicured lawn into the forest. "I'm sorry, my sweet girl," I say to my wolf. I'm sorry you have been stuck with me, and our life has been difficult. She whispers," It's not your fault, Katia." I don't know how long or far we ran, but we came to a cliff with a waterfall. The pain from the rejection is unbearable, and the hurt keeps pounding at me. I know I am missing something. Aza, my wolf, feels it, too; she says we are more than regular werewolves and are here for a reason. We cannot remember the reason. I stand staring at the water running over and down, creating the fall. I wonder what the reason is for the millionth time. Why can I or Aza not remember? Does it have something to do with the way others treat us? The way we have been sent to live with different people since the death of our parents? Does it have something to do with why my fated rejected me? I am tired of figuring out why our memories do not make sense. My sweet girl and I want peace, but we do not know how to obtain it. I stand staring into the oblivion of the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. So I stand there rejected, half a wolf, speaking with my Wolfie, my nickname for Aza, debating what we should do next. Someone was yelling my name from the direction I ran. I do not want to go back there. I hear laughter. Turning, I glance down over the cliff. There is another pack having a barbecue. The adults are laughing and watching the pups play. What looks to be the Alpha, beta, and gamma of the pack are in the water playing Marco Polo with some of the children. They look so happy and carefree. I want that. I wonder if Aza and I ever have a life like that.
