Lana POV Today was our sixteenth birthday and of all the days my brother Alpha Ryker had to call an Alpha meeting on his twin sister’s birthday. To say we were p*ss*d off was an understatement. Arial and I watched from the upstairs window as Alpha’s from all over filed out of their cars before being greeted by our father and Ryker. My twin sister Arial hated the meetings just as much as me. It was one thing being twins, it was another being Lycan hybrid twins, and we always found that we copped the most stares. Once we came of age and didn’t get our wolves or shift, we knew we differed from our brother. Our mother was a direct descendant of the Moon Goddess, therefore, so are we. Our brother inherited most of our father’s traits, he shifted when he was twelve and was what we call an early bloomer, but he didn’t share my mother’s Hybrid gene. Yes, he was a direct descendant like us, but for some reason he only received certain traits while my sister and I were exactly like our mother. We had no wolves and were half vampire and half Lycan. We were both saddened when we didn't get our wolves. Ryker always spoke of how much he loved his wolf growing up. But we still had each other. Being twins means you always have another half, a best friend for life, and my sister and I were incredibly close. So close, my mother sometimes had trouble telling us apart, the only giveaway being that our scents were different slightly.

Knowing the depth of your hatred is quite enlightening. I'm truly honored," Auder remarked, crouching before me. I had failed to notice the lights being switched on, a testament to my distracted state. I flinched and instinctively moved backward, attempting to meld into the wall, all the while keeping my gaze fixed on him. I dared not glare at him, knowing he could easily end my life. He seized my jaw, forcing me to meet his gaze. "Have you suddenly lost your ability to speak? What happened to your usual defiance whenever you see me?" His grip tightened, and a low growl rumbled from his throat. "I thought we had established the rules, haven't we?” EXTRACT NO. 2..... I gazed at him lazily with those dreamy eyes of mine. I couldn't get enough of his emerald green eyes boring straight into my soul. "You have been staring, you want a taste of my lips?" I didn't mind his question and I wanted badly to know how they taste. My imaginations were running mild, "how nice can it be to have you take me to cloud 9?" I am a slave, not just a slave but AUDER's sexual slave. Won't Maverick mind knowing that I have been tossed around for two years? My name is Katia; I want to find my fated mate and live a peaceful life raising our pups. The problem is I have holes in my memories and don’t understand who or what I am. I know I am a werewolf, but I am also something else. Rejection is the last straw! I am not worthy is the reason he gives. The pain doubles me over; my wolf is whimpering in my head, and tears are running down my face. I whispered my acceptance of his rejection and took off running. I ran through the pack house out across the green manicured lawn into the forest. "I'm sorry, my sweet girl," I say to my wolf. I'm sorry you have been stuck with me, and our life has been difficult. She whispers," It's not your fault, Katia." I don't know how long or far we ran, but we came to a cliff with a waterfall. The pain from the rejection is unbearable, and the hurt keeps pounding at me. I know I am missing something. Aza, my wolf, feels it, too; she says we are more than regular werewolves and are here for a reason. We cannot remember the reason. I stand staring at the water running over and down, creating the fall. I wonder what the reason is for the millionth time. Why can I or Aza not remember? Does it have something to do with the way others treat us? The way we have been sent to live with different people since the death of our parents? Does it have something to do with why my fated rejected me? I am tired of figuring out why our memories do not make sense. My sweet girl and I want peace, but we do not know how to obtain it. I stand staring into the oblivion of the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. So I stand there rejected, half a wolf, speaking with my Wolfie, my nickname for Aza, debating what we should do next. Someone was yelling my name from the direction I ran. I do not want to go back there. I hear laughter. Turning, I glance down over the cliff. There is another pack having a barbecue. The adults are laughing and watching the pups play. What looks to be the Alpha, beta, and gamma of the pack are in the water playing Marco Polo with some of the children. They look so happy and carefree. I want that. I wonder if Aza and I ever have a life like that.

"Relax, Ruby. No one is this tense around their fiancé." I tried to do as he said and relax so I leaned further into him and pressed my back to his front which seemed to ignite a different reaction from him. "Not that kind of relaxing. You're only going to get me hard." He hissed in my ear. I smiled and decided to be naughty and play dumb. He held my arm tightly, "Ruby, stop." He warned. "I'm not doing anything, Oliver. I'm merely acting my role. Perfectly." I said innocently. "You really want to play this game?" He replied. "We're executing our role flawlessly. People are watching." I told him with a smile. "Then they'd better gobble this one up." In one swift move, he spun me around and smashed his lips to mine in the presence of everyone present at the party. Ruby Carter turns down a proposal from hot billionaire Oliver Harrison and in a cruel twist of events, her boyfriend turns out to be a cheater who never loved her. Heartbroken and sad, she goes on a drinking spree and ends up in bed with the man she turned down, Oliver. An argument ensues between Ruby and her father regarding her stance on Oliver which unfortunately lands Ruby's father in a coma. The board members see this as a chance to usurp powers from the Carters’ hands and seize control of the company. Ruby, alone and helpless, has no other option than to accept help from the only one offering to stand by her side, Oliver, in the form of a fake relationship. Initially, things were going as planned but along the line, Ruby starts to see Oliver in a different light. A series of ups and downs which were meant to tear them apart actually ended up bringing them closer and making things a little more clearer. Maybe he isn't that bad after all? Or maybe she has just been playing her role all too well…

"“Remember Ella, we’ve already asked you not to run away from this place.” Tristan said in his magnetic voice. It was almost magical. I came back to my senses long enough to push them away, which took everything I had, because Nathan had me in such a tight hug. “I told you two. Leave me alone. I’m sick of your stupid little pranks.” I said, still trying to push them off of me. I got even more intense stares from the rest of the class during that lesson. Tristan sat on one side of me and Nathan sat on the other. Tristan was always trying to reach over and hold my hand, but I would pull it away and make it look like I was taking down notes from the teacher. “It’s alright Ava. Just one more year until we are out of here.” I said as I was walking to my locker after class when someone pushed their elbow into my ribs and I hit the lockers that were lining the wall. I turned to see that it was Leia. A real fan of the twins and her lackeys that always followed her everywhere. But Leia walked really close to me and got in my face. “You stay the hell away from the twins. Do you understand me? They’re mine.” She threatened me through gritted teeth. --- When Ella moves to a small Alaskan town with her distant mother and abusive stepfather, she assumed that it would be just like any other place she had ever lived. She longed to be back in Seattle where she felt normal, but here she starts to notice that things aren't normal at all. When she catches the attention of a couple of very attractive twins, she becomes the subject of brutality brought on by jealousy and greed. Will Ella stay there to subject the constant abuse or will she decide to leave and never look back. Not even if the twins beg her to stay?"
