The Plot

The story unfolds in the Winter Moon Pack, eleven years after Chasity’s parents went rogue, leaving her behind to face the fury of the pack. To earn her keep and pay off her parent’s debts, Chasity works her ass off, enduring the constant bullying of the triplets who seem more than content to make every day of her life a living hell and the triplet’s mother who seems to hate her very guts. The Main Characters

Chasity

Three words. Witty. Resilient. Sinfully sexy. Make that four.

Chasity is a kick ass female heroine who has been through a lot in her life and matured quickly as a result. Trust her to bounce right back and navigate her way through every hurdle thrown in her path with lethal cunning, well, except for the trio. Not even all the patience in the world is enough to handle them.

They yank at her hair, call her fat—just to be mean, insult her parents and hit the point constantly that they abandoned her and were probably dead, pry into her life and had the audacity to get jealous when she spoke of meeting her mate.

Entitled, awful men, Chasity liked to call them and it was rather hilarious to find these men falling over themselves to please her.

Turning eighteen usually brings on a rollercoaster of events for werewolves but Chasity seems to be having triple of those. Going from no love interest to having three men whose hands and lips burned unholy pleasures into Chasity, the heat turned up from zero to a thousand with breakneck speed.

Alex, Felix and Calix

Swoon Alert! Trust us, you’ve never seen a truer case of ‘the more, the merrier’. While the three brothers are generally described as filthy rich, devilishly handsome and domineering, we must point out that they have differences that are just as weighty as their similarities. We’ll take them one at a time.

Alex Thorn—The eldest of the three and a perfect picture of a brooding man. Serious, deeply thoughtful and almost stoic. Alex is an air of mystery waiting to be unraveled, carrying under that cool exterior a level of complexity that Chasity finds absolutely sexy. Upon finding out what Chasity is to him, his sense of guilt drives him towards working hard to ensure she never lacked a thing or cried again.

Felix Thorn—The second brother and the least serious. He’s all about jokes and taunts until a hair on Chasity’s head is threatened and he transforms into something utterly terrifying. His unpredictable nature makes it difficult for Chasity to trust him fully, and it doesn’t help that he’s the brain behind every humiliating prank. He now calls Chasity ‘Baby’.

Calix Thorn—Popularly known as the smooth-talker. Calix could talk you out of your clothes and into his bed. Chasity is wary at first of his overly charming nature, but his words soon become what she needs to properly settle into her new life as their mate.

Together, these brothers form a trifecta of perfection, each compensating for the other. Imagine ordering ice cream – one scoop of smooth vanilla, another of rich chocolate, and a third of indulgent caramel. Each flavor is delicious on its own, but then you realize the magic is incomplete without the warm, gooey brownie. The three brothers are like these flavors – individually endearing, but together, they create a blast of personalities that complement and elevate each other, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts.

And lucky Chasity gets all those yummy flavors!

There are also plenty of morally gray characters or people with mysterious backgrounds such as Luna Ronnie, Dante, Maurice and the Deidre look-alike, all of whom you’ll get to know as you progress in the story. They in turn are balanced out with the more pure-hearted characters of Tina, Mina, Chance, June and April. All together this creates a fantastic mix of personalities who added to the realness of the world Joanna has created.

More Thoughts On The Plot

There’s quite a lot of heat nearly boiling off the pages, as expected, but more than that is the depth, the emotions and occasionally, the rage we feel with these characters. The more we progress through the story, the more we realize that all isn’t as it seems. Memories of a past Chasity has long forgotten resurfaces, causing her to doubt the genuinity of her relationships with the brothers. The problem is barely contained when Chasity is hurled into another painful truth about her parents and their betrayal.

Conflict after conflict exists to keep you on your toes—let’s not even forget the kidnapping that freaked everyone out and the triplet swooping in to save the day. Freaking hot! And the pregnancy reveal? We were unprepared! Joanna J seems to have a special talent for cliffhangers that leave our jaws on the floor.

Chastity fights aggressively to live for those she loves and it is why she is one of the most loved female leads in werewolf romance books. She is strong, fierce, caring and a beautifully written character that’s so easy to love. Joanna J excelled in this work, presenting and executing so many unique twists and turns. Also the delicious tension between the brothers and Chasity and their unbreakable bond that literally screams, “Touch her and die.”
