Sierraaaaa‚ oh sieerrrraaa‚ where are you? Enough of your hide and seek already. You should come out so we will play my favorite game." I heard that masculine voice again, and I froze in my place. I looked at the girl who had saved me. She was shivering with fear. "No, he is here. We need to hide. If he sought us, he would play his games again. We need to hide." She whispered and jumped inside the tree. The log of the tree was very big. And with the big hole, Sierra was able to hide inside its log. I also jumped into the tree and hid from that devil. His voice was scarier than the demons. I have not seen his face ever. But I could imagine his demonic face with the scary voice he had."Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you.

CHAPTER 01

Prologue

MARSHA'S POV:-

It felt like I was suffocating. I was gasping for air but no use. I was not able to breathe. When it became too difficult for me to breathe, I forced myself to open my eyes. It took me a few seconds, I was able to open my eyes again. I gasped loudly and filled my lungs with the air around me. My lungs were burning like there was a fire inside my chest. I sat up and started coughing hard. I did not know for how long I was gasping for air.

As I was filling my lungs with the oxygen around me, I noticed something odd. I was inside the same forest. "No no no, not now. Not again. Not tonight. You just can not do that. What the f*ck!" I yelled loudly as I found myself sitting on the wet and dirty soil.

As always, it was foggy around. The forest was dark. There was a moon in the sky but as always, it was dark. The moon was eclipsed. Black clouds were covering the whole sky except for the black Moon. It was scary as hell.

Then I heard it again. I heard demons, they were yelling, screaming. They were actually making these horrible noises like the Mongols used to make while attacking their victims. I covered my ears as those noises became unbearable. It was like those noises were boring holes inside my head.

"Over here, Mira. You need to run before they will get you too. You have to run fast." I heard that angelic voice again, as always, she called me by the name Mira. I looked around and found her standing a few feets away from me. She nodded her head and signalled me to follow her. I did as I always did. I followed her.

We kept running till the voices of the demons faded away. We both stopped near the same tree. A tree with a big hole in its log. "They are gone. I saved your life again. But will you do the same for me, Mira?" She asked me again and I nodded my head.

"You just nod your head like this every time. I know what you will do next. You will take pills to get rid of me." She yelled at me angrily and I just shook my head.

"Sierraaaaa… oh sieerrrraaa… where are you??? Enough of your hide and seek already. You should come out so we will play my favorite game." I heard that masculine voice again and I froze into my place.

I looked at the girl who had saved me. She was shivering with fear. "No, he is here. We need to hide. If he caught us, he would play his games again. We need to hide." She whispered and jumped inside the tree. The log of the tree was very big. And with the big hole, Sierra was able to hide inside its log. I also jumped into the tree and hid myself from that devil. His voice was more scary than the demons. I have not seen his face ever. But I could imagine his demonic face with the scary voice he had.

"Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you. Don't worry, Sierra. The angels are coming. They will rescue you." Sierra kept repeating it like myntra. While I looked out from the hole of the log.

I heard footsteps coming near the tree. I backed away from the hole. Suddenly, the earth shattered inside that log and I fell into that hole. While Sierra was begging loudly not to leave her alone. A hand came from behind her and it grabbed her by her hair. It pulled her out of the hole while she was crying for help. Everything went dark but I was still falling. My fall was nowhere to end. It was like someone threw me on earth from space. I was falling and falling and falling. But it did not end at all.

After what it felt like eternity, my body finally hit something. It was warm and cozy. Soft and very comfortable as compared to the ground I was expecting to hit. Instead of an unbearable pain, I was warm and cozy. The only hard thing I felt was under my head. And a hand that was caressing my cheek in a loving way. And fingers that were busy playing with my long silky hair.

I opened my eyes and found a very handsome man sitting on the bed. My head was on his chest and he was caressing my cheek in a very gentle way. As if he was worried he would break me if he would not be gentle. I was practically lying on top of his hard and tall body. "It has been long. You have been away from home for too long. I am afraid you will forget everything." He said in a sad tone and his eyes moistened up. I sat up and stared at his face. He stared into my eyes with the same hurt look on his face. I took one of my hands closer to his face. The tear I saw, I wanted to wipe it. But then, something pulled me away from him. He wanted me to stop but he looked helpless.

I opened my eyes again and sat up with a loud gasp. I was gasping for air. I was all sweaty. I looked around while coughing hard. I was inside my bedroom. I sighed and ran my fingers through my curly hair. I looked up at the door. I screamed loudly as I saw her for the first time in front of me. "Don't worry, Mira. The Angels are coming. They could not save me but they will rescue my beloved baby sister." She said and I jumped off of my bed. I went towards her. I wanted to touch her but as I went closer, she suddenly disappeared. I moved the curtains and looked around. But she was gone.

MARSHA'S POV:-

I was standing by the coffee machine, preparing myself my fifth cup of coffee since I stepped into the office. I was not able to concentrate at all. Even if I would blink, I was seeing her face. I did not sleep at all. I was worried because I had a case to take care of but I was not able to work on that. Even four cups of coffee were not able to wake up my mind to work on something other than my nightmare.

It was strange, ever since I had turned sixteen, I had been having the same nightmare. Especially when Halloween is near. "Happy Halloween everyone. I wish you a lot of sweet memories and sour happinesses with your family." My friend and my partner, Sara Danish greeted everyone as she stepped into the main hall of the precinct. I rolled my eyes in annoyance and filled my cup with the coffee.

I pretended as if I really did not remember if it was halloween. Definitely, I knew it was halloween but I really never liked halloween. Halloween always dug up all the wounds I had bore years ago. And until now, things were not fine as well. Sometimes, it really felt as if I was missing a piece of me. Something that was precious but long lost. Something that makes you feel incomplete. Something that was closer to you than your beating heart.

I went back to my desk and Sara followed me behind. I took my seat and Sara wrapped her arms around me from behind. I rolled my eyes again and tapped on her arms. She broke the hug and pulled her chair. She sat down beside me and studied my face thoroughly. "Oh my God, don't tell me it is back again. Don't tell me you had that nightmare again?" She asked me in a panicked tone. I sighed and looked at her. I held the cup of my coffee in front of her eyes.

"This is my fifth cup since I stepped into this precinct." I replied and she snatched the cup from my hand. She took a sip then spat it out. I sighed again as I knew she was about to start her lecture over how dark my coffee was and why was I having this much strong coffee and all? I held my hands in the air. She opened her mouth to say something but she immediately shut it in a few moments. I grabbed the papers I had in front of me and started reading them. I knew I was not really in a good state but I had to do my work.

"But how? I remembered doctor Brian saying that it was the last time you had that nightmare. There will be no more nightmares for you. He claimed it pretty confidently. So how is that possible?" She asked and I gritted my teeth. I was really angry with that good for nothing doctor. His claims were as lame as the claims every politician makes before they win the seat they desire. And after that, they forget everything as if they were not the ones who had made promises with the people. I grabbed my coffee cup that she had set on our desk and took a huge sip.

"That is because he can not understand my problem at all. He is handling my case as I am a psychopath. I am not a psycho, I just needed his help so I could get rid of these stupid nightmares. But guess what, I think soon I will lose my job as well. I can not concentrate on my work at all." I replied to her in an annoyed tone and she rubbed my back like a sister. I held my head in my hands as my head again started throbbing with the pain I had been feeling ever since I had woken up. I really was not able to sleep at all after that stupid nightmare.

"Why is it happening to you? Even after three years of therapy with the best phycologist in Bray city, how is it even possible that you are still having those nightmares?" She asked me and I looked around. Then I signalled her to come closer. She also looked around then pulled her chair closer towards me.

"This time, it was not just a nightmare. I saw her. She was standing right in front of me. I saw someone else as well, but in the dream. For the first time, the nightmare ended with a dream. He was someone who felt like I knew him but I can not seem to remember him at all. My life is fully f*ck*d *p. Do you know when I stepped into the precinct?" I replied then asked her and she shrugged her shoulders. Of course, she had just stepped into the precinct. How could she know when I entered that f*ck*ng place.

"I came here at five o'clock in the morning. I am telling you. I saw her standing right in front of me." I replied and she gave me a confused look. She stood up and went away. I knew she must be thinking of me as a mental patient. For years I had been telling her every single time I had that nightmare but it was too much. Even I would have said that if anyone would have told me something like that. But I knew I was not lying.

Sara came back to our desk with two cans of coke in her hands. She grabbed my coffee and emptied it in the plant vase. She handed me one coke can and took her seat again. "What if, it was not a dream but a signal. What if Sierra is not just a delusion as you have been thinking about her? What if you never really needed any help from Brian? What if Sierra is someone real and she needs your help? What if it all signals she has been giving you so you would help her?" She replied and I looked at her with my mouth agape and my eyes widened. I went all pale as if I had seen a ghost. But in reality, I was just thinking, what if Sara was actually right.

CHAPTER 02

MARSHA'S POV:-

Actually, I remembered again the time when I saw her standing right in front of me. It felt as if I was still sleeping or she was real. I opened my mouth to ask her what made her say that but I saw Dr Brian coming towards us. I rolled my eyes as I knew what made him come to me.

"Hello beautiful ladies. How are you both?" He asked us and Sara stood up. I stared at her and signalled her not to say anything. She rolled her eyes but then she nodded her head. I sighed in relief seeing her response.

"We are fine, Dr Brian. How are you?" She asked and hooked one of her arms around his shoulders. I shook my head and opened the drawer of my desk to check some papers about the case I was working on.

"I am fine, thank you. How are you, Miss Alford? I hope everything is fine." He said and I literally felt like he was taunting me. It felt like I was in an actual hell and he was enjoying seeing me like that. I turned my head into his direction and gave him a
