THE NEW INTERNS

Scott pulled up in a black Rolls-Royce Phantom in front of his company. His personal bodyguard, Mike came down from the car, went around and opened the door for him, he ambled through the main entrance of his company with his head held high, the company is a glass skyscraper, all the walls are transparent, you could see everyone in their various offices, he ambled down the hall towards his private elevator with Mike walking behind him, as he got into the elevator, he pushed the button to the top floor, as they came down from the elevator, they walked down the hall heading towards his office, he walked past his secretary's office, which was wide open.

"Good morning, sir." She greeted waving her hand with a bright smile.

"Morning Mrs. Campbell." he replied in rumbling tone.

As he was walking towards his office a redhead bumped into his chest, she was so strong that it made him stagger backwards, he saw her on the floor, he clenched his fist, glaring at her on the floor, she looked up at him with her beautiful grey eyes.

"Can't you watch where you are going!" He snapped with a frown.

"I am sorry, sir." The lady apologized with her lips trembling as she got up from the floor, cleaning her clothes with her hands.

He flicked his fingers at Mike, who ran to her and assisted her walk away from the hallway.

Scott continued walking down the hallway. He got into his office. He walked towards his desk and sat down in his revolving chair. He stared at his shoes, he got furious at how dusty the shoe looks from the lady that stepped on him, how could a stranger just step on my fifteen-thousand-dollar Sato shoes? he thought as he clenched his fists into tight balls.

He turned on his laptop and began preparing a presentation on it for his art convention; he planned to host an art convention in his company, which he will be auctioning a couple of his art works, all the billionaires and millionaires in L.A would be present to bid for his art works. His secretary, Mrs. Campbell, walked into his office, Mrs. Campbell is a middle-aged woman, who was dressed in a yellow women suit, she has blonde hair, and green eyes. she moved closer to his desk.

"Excuse me sir, sorry for bothering you." She said politely.

"What is it?" He inquired as he raised his chin to look up at her.

"Sir, the new batch of interns that were shortlisted to work for the company have been waiting in the lobby for you." She answered.

"How many are they?" He asked, raising a brow.

"Two, sir, a man and a woman." She informed with both hands clasped in her front.

"Okay, send them into my office in the next 30 minutes," he declared.

"Alright, sir." She replied, as she did a half bow and walked out of his office.

He went back to the work he was doing on his computer,

A few minutes later.

Mrs. Campbell escorted two people into his office.

"Sir, these are the interns." She informed him as she walked out of his office.

He took a good look at both of them, he recognized the lady. She was the redhead lady who bumped into him earlier. he scrunched his face and glared at her.

"You?" He said, pointing a finger at her. he was burning with fury.

"I am sorry for bumping into you earlier," she apologized looking down.

He sighed and decided to let it slide, still gazing at her.

"No worry's both of you should have a seat," Scott said as he pointed at the seats in front of him.

They both sat down on the seats in front of his desk.

"Good morning, sir." They both said it in unison.

"Morning," he replied.

"Sir, my name is Matthew Houston. I graduated from Los Angeles Art College." the guy stated.

"Wow, that's impressive." he replied.

Scott shifted his gaze over to the lady.

"And you?" He said raising a curious eyebrow.

"My name is Jennifer Morris, sir. I graduated from Otis College of Art and Design." She stated.

He moved his laptop to the side and looked at her from top to bottom, her color combination wasn’t a good match and there was a stain on her shirt. Did she study at Otis college? she looked so unkempt and tattered, he thought.

"Clearly you didn't learn what they were teaching at the college," he blurted out.

"Excuse me, what did you say?" Jennifer asked with a high-pitched voice.

"Don't worry about that," He replied waving his hand.

"I hope both of you are very creative when it comes to art?" He added.

"Of course, sir," Matthew replied.

"Yes sir," Jennifer muttered.

"Alright, both of you can start working now, Mrs. Campbell will show you over to the office you guys will be working at," he stated.

"Okay sir," they both responded in unison.

They both stood up and walked out of his office. He stared at her backside as she walked out of his office. She had no fashion sense, she even dressed like a grandma, and she said she graduated from Otis College. Clearly, she didn’t learn anything there, he thought.

Scott continued with his presentation on his computer. After he was done, he sent a copy of the presentation to his secretary through email. A couple of minutes later, Mrs. Campbell walked into his office, with a blue file in her hands.

"Sir, here you go," she said, handing over the file to him.

He took the file from her and looked at them. Mrs. Campbell wanted to walk out of his office,

"Wait a minute," he said as he raised a finger at her.

"What do you need, sir?" she asked raising a questioning brow.

"I want you to get the new interns to work on the preparation for the convention," he answered, handing the file back to her.

CONVENTION 1

"Okay, sir," she said.

"Make copies of the document and give them to both of them. Let’s see how serious they are about doing their internship in my company," he stated.

"Alright, I am on it sir, I will get the both of them on it," she replied as she walked out of his office and shut the door behind her.

Scotts company is the most reputable art company in Los Angeles, all the new college graduate’s dreams of working in his company, so every year Mrs. Campbell shortlists the two best candidates to do their internship in the company.

A couple of hours later, Mike walked into Scott’s office,

"The car is ready, sir," Mike informed.

"Alright, let’s go," he replied as he stood up from his chair.

Scott adjusted his tie and walked out of the office, with Mike walking behind him. As he walked down the hallway, he saw Mrs. Campbell, coming out of her office.

"I want everything to be perfect
