“I, Layla Lecruest, reject you Alpha Sebastian of the Red Moon Pack as my mate.” Alpha Sebastian lifted his head. His thick hair blew back as the door to the house opened and a wind swept in. “I, Alpha Sebastian of the Red Moon Pack, accept your rejection.” Yes, it hurt to be rejected. Your mate was the one person in the entire world that was meant for you and the stories I had heard were glorious. Like the only two pieces of a puzzle, you find each other and become whole. You will never love anyone as you love your mate. And you never got a second chance. It was very rare, and I had just rejected mine. Layla Lecruest, is a fierce, brave, and strong-willed girl who never cared about fitting in but neither did she plan to stand out as much as she did. When she finds out that her mate is the Alpha who spent his life tormenting her, they quickly reject each other on the spot. Unbeknownst to them, Alpha Kade was on his way and would turn everything upside down as her second chance mate. The notorious Alpha Kade was famous for his strength and his ability to lead his pack. He earned respect wherever he went and when he arrived at the Red Moon Pack, he swore he wouldn't leave without his mate. What happens when Layla finds herself stuck between her former and current mate as well as a pack of wolves with superior powers who thought she belonged to them? "Stay.” He’s in front of me before I know it, a fire and intensity in his eyes as he takes my chin in his fingers, tilting my face up towards him. “Bind yourself to me, and become by most coveted jewel.” My heart races as I realize what the look in his eyes is… lust, and a desire to posses me, keep me, and it all becomes clear. He’s been fighting his true nature the whole time. His finger runs across my lips and heat floods to parts of me I’ve never felt before. Maybe, just maybe, there’s a part of me that wants him to. I’m not sure why, or where it’s coming from. Maybe it’s that, without a purpose, with everything I’ve worked for gone, the idea of being taken care of, coveted, as he said, doesn’t seem that bad. My voice is quiet. “My Lord—” “Ariyan, you may call me Ariyan.” It feels taboo, saying his name, and I pause for a moment before letting it roll off my tongue. “Ariyan…” His jaw clenches as the sound leaves my lips. I know there was something I was going to say, but as the Dragon Lord looks over me, his silver eyes burning as they pierce mine, I can’t seem to recall what it was. It’s liked I’m trapped under his spell, lost in the blaze that is him. ***** For centuries dragons have ruled over humans, using them as servants and protectors of their most precious treasures. Ruby has spent her whole life training to become a Dragon's Guardian, but when she finally has the chance to compete for the position, she finds herself in a very different one; as the fated Mate to the feared and infamous Lord of Dragons, Ariyan Silverwing, and the Guardian of his heart. Trapped in a dark and dangerous world, can she find a way to protect herself against its threats? Or will she fall into its twisted trap, just as she finds herself falling for her Dragon Lord? *COMPANION STORY TO FATE OF THE SILVER DRAGON*

When I was a child, my grandma used to tell me stories. At the time, I never gave them much thought. Thinking they were just that… stories. Growing up, I soon realized that they weren’t lofty fantasies and fairy tales but memories of her past, memories of our ancestors before our world turned to sh*t. You see, what comes from legend, no matter how exaggerated the story becomes, there is always a sliver of truth. You just need to weed out the fiction from fact. My grandmother used to tell me stories of the Chosen One—the one who would save us all. When I was younger, I used to believe that what she said was true. Eventually, someone would be born, just as the Oracle predicted—someone who could save our souls and bind us back to our magic. Once I grew up and saw the world unfolding around me, I no longer believed in salvation. The chosen one seemed to be more of a prayer than reality. Some dream we wanted desperately to come true. Something in which we needed to find hope when there wasn’t any left. When our ancestors turned their backs on us, how were we expected to believe in this so-called salvation? Especially when all we witnessed was death and carnage ever since the great war. Nothing except pain and poverty. I used to believe the stories and used to pray for the mysterious chosen one that would rid our world of its evil. Now, though, I see it for what it really is, just a dream of hope. Some out of reach fairy-tale. A story to create hope. Hope is dangerous; it makes you believe things will get better. I stopped hanging on to hope when I witnessed firsthand that it caused nothing but heartache.
