I made him a promise and he gave me five years to live my life before he came for me, if you are reading this, he already came for me, I fulfilled the promise I made for him and now it’s left to the cops to find my killer. He always said “even at death, you are my girls.” And his words won at that, maybe my death is the beginning of something more sinister, or rather it was going to cause people to lose faith in humanity

Chapter 1

The sounds of the chair pressing against the old wood filled her ear as she rocked slowly while seated on it, she glanced at a picture while she had a smile on my face and a tear slipped on of her eyes, her hand softly touched the picture, it held memories, it held power, and my chair stopped at his movement when she heard the sounds of footsteps.

She quickly pulled away from my chair, and she headed into her room. She took out her phone and turned it off before my mind wandered off to him. he is here. More tears streamed down her cheek when the realization dawned on her.

He is here and there is no escape for her, he is here to fulfill the promise he made five years ago, the same promise she made to him, he never forgets, that’s one thing about him, a part of me did wish he could forget, a part of me did wish this was not going to happen.

She headed toward the other side of the room when she hid under her bed, he liked a cat and mouse game, he liked it when he caused his victims, he liked it when he has to work hard to find his victims and sometimes he knows exactly where they are but he won’t look because he likes to built up the anticipation.

There is always something unique about him, his determination, and the way he cared for what he liked.

She had a smile on my face when she heard the sounds of his footsteps, She knew he was here, closer than she would ever think; she was scared, terrified, but she didn’t want to show that. After all, she waited for five years, and he gave her five years to do whatever she had desired before he came for her.

She would have hide from the surface of earth, she could have changed her name and find a new identity, she could have moved to a village or a little town, where he will never find her but she didn’t, because she knew him better than anyone, she knew that whatever she does, he will find her.

She peeked through the little space under the bed when she saw his shoes. More tears streamed down her cheek, even if she had prepared for this for five years, she didn’t want to die; no one wanted to die, but she knew better than to run away from her true fate.

She watched as his feet danced across the room, opening her closet to see she was there, she quickly covered her hand with her mouth when she realized he didn’t check under the bed, instead he headed out to the room, at that moment she realized that he knew; he knew she was there.

Now the game has started. She has to play his little game, make him happy before he kills her. I know how it looked, knowing she wanted him to find her and kill her, it’s all part of the promise she made to him.

She headed out of the bed, she glances across the room when she headed into the second bedroom, her heart racing against her rip-cage, her eyes filled with tears, she knew no one would come looking for her, she had everyone around her hate her, for his sake, to make things easier for him.

Her eyes scanned across the room, and a breath fell out of her parted lips.

“Savannah.” He whispered from outside the door, she was standing in the middle of the room, “I’m here.” He whispered again, and as if he was seeing her, she nodded with more tears in her eyes.

She was ready for him to take her with him, to start this all over again, when she noticed the door knob was turning open, she did the unspeakable, something she was not meant to do, she jumped out the window, she knew she was not meant to leave the house yet she did.

He headed into the room, and he smiled when he realized his little victim had jumped out of the window. Unknown to her, he knew she would do something like that.

She ran as fast as she could without looking back, knocking on ever door in the neighborhood but she was unlucky today, no one had answered her, maybe they were not home, or maybe they knew what was happening and choose to ignore, she kept pleading and knocking on her door as she ran, when she stopped in her tracks.

She turned around and there he was behind her, even under the moonlight, she could see the smile he always had, and when she shook his head, she knew she made a huge mistake, she was never meant to run.

She was scared, she should have thought about that before making a deal with him, up until now, she had it in mine, wrote it on her calendar and marked today’s date as the day she would be gone but as he got closer, she knew she had so much more to live for; she knew she hasn’t achieved what she had with life, not yet at least.

She glanced across the place, her legs hurting from the activities of earlier and her heart pounding against her rip-cage, more tears streamed down her cheek, he didn’t come any close to her and she knew he wanted her to keep running, this time he wanted to chase her until she was dead, this time he wanted to make sure that she regrets what she has done.

She headed toward the other side while still looking at him, her eyes met his again, and she realized he had not moved, she knew if she died, no one would be able to know he is behind this and she can’t let him win, she knew she had to be smart if she wanted to live forever.

Day One…..

She knew she made a huge mistake by running yet she knew what choice did she have, no one wanted to die, she was able to make it to a house in the woods, after running for what felt like days, she knew it was time to take a rest, her body ached with pain, her throat itchy and desiring for water, her stomach rumbled for most nights, her eyes sore because she could not sleep, she knew sleeping would be a mistake.
