Chapter 1

AIRA

I'm getting ready to go to school for the first time today. For a girl like me, I'm quite nervous, and I don't know why. New faces, new friends, and new classmates once again.

"Aria, your mom just called. Please hurry up, or your dad might get mad at you again. The flight is long, so make sure you're ready," my nanny told me after knocking on my door.

It's annoying! It was obvious that Mom was in too big of a hurry. I just started to open my eyes and stretch a bit before getting the things I would need in the bathroom ready. Hayss... there's nothing else I can do if I don't hurry because I'm sure I'll be scolded again later.

"Ok, I'm coming," I said absently as I yawned.

I went straight to the bathroom and did my body tricks to make sure I would smell good later. I didn't think it would take almost thirty minutes for me to take a shower.

"This is life, you have to wake up early to get ready for school. When I finally have my own school, they will start classes in the afternoon," I said with a smile while putting on my clothes.

After getting ready, I went straight downstairs to have breakfast with my parents, and I didn't miss the fact that they were already full. I am their only child, so they take care of almost all of my luxuries.

"How are you this morning, Mom and Dad? I'm sorry if I kept you waiting too long," I bowed and said to them before coming closer.

After having breakfast with my family, my dad went straight to the garage to get the car ready. My mom and I were left in the living room because she said she wanted to talk to me.

"I think I'll have to say goodbye to my one and only daughter, who I love very much, because she's going to a faraway academy to study. I will miss you a lot. You will always remember that I love you very much and have a special place in my heart for you. Farewell, my princess!" Mom said through tears.

"Mother!" I told her, and she looked annoyed because she was still treating me like a child. I don't like that about my mom, because she makes me look too young, even though I'm a young lady now.

Mom quickly wiped a few tears away from her eyes and gave me a sweet smile. Before she spoke again, she gave me a small hug.

"Okay, you go tell your dad you might be late. You are going to be traveling a long way, so be careful." After we went to the garage, Mother told me with worry.

We all gave each other hugs before my dad and I got into the car. I even saw Mom wave and cry as she looked at us.

On the road my dad and I are traveling on now, there aren't many houses. It's too far from the city, and as time goes on, I can only see trees. Interesting! Is the school I'll be going to really this far away?

"Princess, we're here," Dad said and stopped the car on the side of the road before he got out so I followed.

"Dad? Are you sure we're at the school I'll be going to? I only see trees and nothing else," I asked in disbelief.

Dad walked up to an orange tree and said something I didn't hear. After a while, the trees disappeared and a big door opened up in front of us. Even though I didn't understand what had happened, I followed Dad right away and we went in together.

When we walked through the door, we saw a huge school. I can't stop being amazed by what I see. Not only is there a lot of space, but the area is also full of color.

"Here we are. You will go to school here, and I'm sure you will like it. Go to the room of the principal," he said to me with a smile.

When Dad said what he did, I couldn't help but look at him in surprise. Considering how big this academy is, will he let me search on my own? Is he for real?

"Dad, can you take me to that place you keep talking about?" I asked my dad because I had no idea where to start looking to find out how big this academy was.

Dad smiled and said, "Okay, why not, since I'm already here?"

We walked for a few minutes, and since Dad knew where we were going, it didn't take long to get there. Gosh! If I were the one looking, I might not be able to find this room in an hour.

As soon as we walked into the principal's office, I was worried because this school's principal might be rude. What if they don't like me and treat me worse now?

"Is she Aria?" the man asked Dad straight out, and I think he runs this school. I didn't think anyone knew who Dad was here. How cool is that!

Dad immediately turned to the other person and said, "Yes, that's her. She's my beautiful daughter." He looked at me as if he was proud of me.

I couldn't help but smile because I was so lucky to have such a great father. Very tender and loving.

"You can leave her here, we'll take care of her, and I'll make sure we don't leave her behind while you're gone," the principal assured Dad, which surprised me. Is he going to leave me alone?

Well, I can't just take it on faith. As I just walked into this place, I don't know for sure if I will be safe or not.

"Princess, I have to go because your mother might be looking for me. I'll stop talking now. Don't worry, you'll be perfectly safe," Dad said to me out of the blue, which shocked me even more.

I thought the principal was just kidding around earlier. Life is dull! Why does he leave me here by myself?

"What? Dad, are you kidding me?" I asked Dad in disbelief. It's annoying! That's crazy.

"I'm not joking, Princess. You'll stay here and only go home when there's something important to celebrate," Dad explained to me.

Gosh! What can I do if he says it again? I'm a good person, so I won't do what he says.

"Alright, I got it," I answered with a frown because I might get scolded by chance.

Maybe I'll learn to live without them. Maybe I can handle it because I have to stand on my own two feet right now. I need to be independent.

"Ms. Shannerie, right?" the principal asked me after Dad left and said goodbye to me.

"Yes, that's my name," I answered him as if I had been counted.

Since I'm Dad's daughter, it makes sense that my last name is Shannerie. People here are so strange it's hard to think about them.

The principal handed me a piece of paper and said, "Here's your list of things to do and your room number."

I didn't think twice about accepting because I knew the information was important. I gave him a smile, looked at the paper, and then asked him again.

"Thank you. Where is the room for the girls?" I ask nicely so I don't have to have a hard time.

I should ask the principal so I know it's true and I can definitely get to the room I want to go to.

"It's on the right side," he told me with a smile.

Since I'm new here, I can't help being shy, but I'm getting too close to the principal. People might say I'm big of a deal, which could get me in trouble.

"I really appreciate it. It's great to meet you. You are an angel sent from above," I proudly told him.

Principals who do a good job with their students are hard to find. I just hope my luck continues.

"That's nothing, just come here if you have a problem, and I'll be happy to help," the principal said to me with a smile before I finally left to start my search.

It's the same length as what I mentioned, but I still haven't found the room number written on the paper. I went through a few more hallways before I finally saw the number of my room. For my success, a sweet smile. Gosh! That wore me out!

I opened the room's door with courage and smiled at the people inside. We need to be comfortable with each other right away so I can get along with everyone.

"Hi there! How are you? I'm Arianna Breeze Shannerie. What's your name, you guys?" Even though I still felt a few things, I asked them with enthusiasm.

I smiled even bigger because there were two of them sitting on the chair. I can't be recognized and embarrassed by them.

"I'm Katie Blossom Luxury and this one next to me is Kailee Spring Luxury, we're twins," a lady happily introduced herself while holding a plant. Amazing!

I smiled and was about to go up to them, but her question caught me off guard.

"What else do you have power over?" Katie asked me with a smile, which made me scowl.

Power? What does she mean? Not much of what they teach me makes sense to me.

"Power? I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean," I asked her because I was confused about what she was trying to say.

"Power, like how I can make all the plants obey me and Kailee can make and melt ice. In other words, I'm the guardian of the plants while Kailee is the guardian of the ice," Katie explained to me with a smile.

I really want to be surprised and hear what they are saying, but I don't because I don't want them to notice me. It's possible that they won't talk to me.

"Power? What do you want to say? I can't do anything. You seem to have lost your mind and are going crazy. I'm sorry, I have no power," I answered them firmly.

I don't want them to look stupid but they need to be aware of the truth. No one has power. They just go crazy.

"What? How did you get here? Didn't you see what was written on the door? Magical Academy (school for magics)," Kailee told me bluntly.

"Do I really need to be able to do something? Power really exists?" I was surprised and asked them both.

I have to ride their tricks to somehow win their hearts. I need to be with someone in the academy.

"Don't worry, you'll find out what your power is. Just focus," Katie's words gave me hope.

They are both really crazy. Now, it looks like I won't be able to act like I believe it.

"How?" I was surprised to ask her because I didn't know how to get the power they were talking about.

If this keeps up, I might start to believe what they make up. Gosh! How hard is it to fit in? This is really getting on my nerves.

"When you feel something different in your body," Katie said, and she raised her hands in amazement.

I have nothing to lose if I still believe in them. I hope that they will see what's right tomorrow.

"Alright, thank you very much," I said to Katie with a smile because she was the one who taught me what was here at the academy.

It's not a small thing that she's easier to get along with than Kailee, who treats me so coldly.

"No problem, as long as we're friends?" Katie happily said to me to which I nodded and smiled sweetly.

I didn't know it was already night. Here, time goes by so quickly. Before, the sun was still up, but now it is getting dark.

"We have to go to sleep now because school starts early in the morning," Kailee suddenly said, and we all nodded.

I think everything will work out. I hope my eyes will be in good shape when I open them again. Even so, I will still think of them as friends.

"Okay, let's get ready for tomorrow by going to sleep. Nice to meet you, my friends," I said with a smile before going to bed.

Finally, I have someone to work with in the academy. I have friends I can count on.

Chapter 2

I had to get ready for the first day of school, so I got up early today. I'm a little upset with Mother today because I thought I had to start school yesterday.

"Let's go," Katie invited me so I was happy to follow her.

We walked out the door together with Kailee, and I thought she looked at me differently.

I was about to talk to Katie, but Kailee grabbed my arm. I was surprised, so I looked at her.

"Why Kailee, is there a problem?" I asked her in surprise.

I was almost surprised when her lips slowly began to smile. I didn't think she would smile at me, but now she is. Is this for real?

"Come on, we might be late for class," she said casually, and we walked together toward the entrance room.

We're walking around happily today, both in the hallways and in our classroom. Kailee is indeed nice. She just wants to know if she can trust me.

"I'm so glad to meet you, Aira. Please for
