Aria’s POV

"What a pathetic and ugly thing you are?"

"How long would you continue to be a jerk?"

"You are better to die than to live… you are nothing but occupying space in this Pack,"

"I blamed your mother for putting her life to save you, a such worthless being…"

Wolfless.

I was termed a wolfless being, a weak thing, ugly, pathetic, a disgrace, a loser, and many more hurtful words.

I don't have a friend as no one dares to make a friend with a foul-mouthed being.

I was more like a human than a werewolf because I don't have a wolf and I don't know what it feels like to have one.

I still don't understand why the Moon goddess has to pair me with wolves.

Today was a beautiful day, most of our Pack members had gone for their hunt but unfortunately for me, I was wolfless and couldn't join them, and besides I didn't know how to hunt properly.

I sat on the bench beside a water bank, it was peaceful and quiet and I enjoyed the earthly breeze and the chanting of the birds.

This is where I usually come to cool my head and daydream whenever I am free, it is at the back of our house.

I am now living with my aunt Susan, who is my mother's sister. I lost my mother when I was a kid. At a tender age, when she was trying to protect me from a rogue attack.

As the wolfless being, I was an easy target and my mother couldn't stand to watch them slaughter me, so she strived to fight them.

The Alpha and his warriors were late and before they could come, the rogues had shredded my mother's throat with her head chopped off from her body.

I was found crumbled up in a ball form with a terrified face as I watched my mother's lifeless body on the floor, terror flashed in my eyes as I remembered my mother's corpse.

I let out a deep sigh, and since then I have been living with my aunt.

The house was more of torture, it was hell to me and that's why I always have to sneak into this place for peace.

I was the most hated creature in this Pack, why won't they despise me?

It was hard staying in this Pack without having any wolves, I was treated differently.

I was treated like a curse, like a plague.

They all hate my existence, especially the future Alpha Allen and his crew.

I am scared of them and always have to find a way to avoid them.

My only hope was my eighteenth birthday which will be tomorrow, though I have passed the age that we do find our wolves but tomorrow is going to be hilarious because a lot of people were going to find their mates but I am scared because of my buzzard.

The absence of my wolf gives me concern and tomorrow is the day that wolf finds their mate, the day they will find their other half.

The one the Moon goddess has blessed and honored them with but unfortunately, I don't have a wolf and without a wolf, you can't detect the mate bond.

I have heard different stories about the mate bond, on how one was enabled to know their other half, their fated mate.

The mate bond is like a force that pulls one towards their fated mate, that they could be able to smell and detect that this person is theirs.

A mate is like a glue that could hold all of your pieces together, the person that could love you no matter the circumstances.

The one that will desire you and want you for who you are. But so bad I don't think that I would be able to know what it feels like, what a mate bond feels like.

I am kind of afraid of tomorrow because of my differences.

What if I don't find my mate tomorrow?

How could I find my mate when I don't have a wolf?

Different questions clouded my mind, I am exhausted. My life has been one kind of hell and lonely.

Flipping my legs together under the bench, I heard a rustling sound behind me. Turning around I was meant with Amber, Allen's girlfriend, the girl that I hated most on this planet.

The feeling was mutual, she never resists picking on me at any slightest opportunity that she gets.

She is my number one enemy after Allen, though I won't deny that I feel something for him.

I kind of have this thing called a crush for him but he is nothing but a rascal, a cold-hearted creature.

"Well... Well... Well... Who do we have here?" Amber was clapping her hands, and with a silly smirk on her lips, she snarled at me.

Snarling deadly at me with her minors behind her.

I suddenly stood up to leave but I was yanked back by one of her minors.

I trembled back in fear as my heart pondered heavily within me.

"Where do you think that you are going, ugly b*tch?" She snapped.

With quivering lips, I managed to force out the word "Please…"

"When I haven't even started,"

"Please I… I need to go," I pleaded.

"Not when I haven't had fun with my little doll," she nods towards the water.

My eyes widened as I followed the direction of her eye.

"No! No!" I clamored as her minors, Jessy and Bea grabbed me and tossed me into the water, luckily I wasn't that bad at swimming.

I sank and forced myself up while gasping for air.

Lifting my head, I heard their laughter and how it was echoing throughout the whole place.

They were so sure enjoying the show, how I was struggling to swim myself out of the water.

I pathetically stared at them with pain and anger, I felt worthless as I couldn't do anything.

She was the daughter of the beta and his brother is the future beta and so there is nothing I could do.

Even if she is not from a higher rank, I still can't do anything.

I swam myself up to the water's edge, but unfortunately, I twisted my ankle and slipped back right inside the water.

I heard their cracking and mocking laughter, and I felt horrible and defeated.

I didn't know what else to do, my heart felt heavy and my eyes started tearing up.

Their laugh kept vibrating in my ears as tears dripped down my face, disappearing into the water.

I didn't know what else to do, I felt confused and lonely till I heard my aunt's voice beside us.

"What is going on here?"

"What is going on here?" My aunt asked.

"Nothing, just trying to teach this pathetic fool, her place…" Amber uttered sarcastically, earning a small laugh from her minors.

I glared at them but I couldn't say much.

Aunt Susan disgustingly glanced at me causing me to shrink back deeper inside the water with my head lowered.

"Sorry, just pardon that dirty smug,"

"Fine though, it is so sad that the fun will end so quickly but I will let her go today," she said with a hurtful expression.

I know that she is just acting up.

"Thanks," Susan muttered with a smile.

"See you soon, plaything," Amber stomps out of the place together with her minors.

I released a breath of relief but unlucky me I was in for another hell.
