The Bloody Night

"My wife is likely to give birth. Our car has suddenly broken down."

Octavious Osvaldo looked at his wife Lissandra Osvaldo and then looked at the father of a church and pleaded, "Her pain has increased too much. Can you please help us?"

The father and the sister of the church were looking at the pleading man while folding their arms. The man was wearing a suit and the lady was wearing a black party dress.  It was not difficult to understand that they were returning from some party. The sister looked at the father and the father understood what the sister was saying. 

They are very humane. They always love to help people in need. But with childbirth! They are in confusion if they can help this couple.  This area is cursed these days. And it is cursed for giving birth.

The sister grabbed the father's hand and took him away from the couple.

She said in a strained voice, "What should we do now? How can we tell them if there is a child in this area, the child will not survive. They... They will take.. Kill.. I can't empty any mother's womb knowingly."

There were thick forests around and a dry river which had dried up long ago. So there was no way they could go to the city. And besides, it was raining outside. The mother will also die if the rain doesn't stop. But suddenly the rain started pouring even more heavily. And the father was so nervous seeing that.  

The father uttered, "We should help them."

" But?"

 The Father did not hear anything else and let them stay in the night. He was very nervous in his mind not knowing what would happen next. But the woman also couldn't be allowed to die like this. He let out a deep sigh!

The Father murmured, "When will this curse end? Who will come to bring laughter to this area? Will that day even come? Or are we just dreaming of having a happy ending?"

Among the former villages of the country Xanthia, there was a small village called Irilon. The people of this village were so simple and sociable. The small village was ruled by the preachers. And they were all the decision makers here. The village was always festive. The sound of children's laughter echoed in the surrounding forest. But one day they came and ruined everything. They destroyed every single family. The happy village turned into a gloomy village. The air became heavy with the cries of the mothers. The smell of blood was everywhere.  They celebrated their lives with blood that day. With the blood of small children. Some children survived that day who were a little older. But today they will come again when they hear the cry of a newborn.

After the attack, village girls were afraid of giving birth. Does any mother want such a death of their child? Even that too in front of the eyes!

The sister was thinking about the past days. Suddenly she came out from her thoughts hearing a sound.  The pain of the pregnant lady was increasing in the rain. Entering the house, the sister picked up the woman and took her to a room. There was a shadow of sadness in her eyes and face. 

The child will die.

The sister wanted to take the woman and bring her to the city. But she had no choice. They used to go to the city by river. And the river! It was completely dry. And there was no way the woman could walk on this stage.  Thinking this, the sister was sighing out of her  chest.

The woman somehow gained some energy and called out, "Sister?"

The sister was so shocked. The voice of this woman was so beautiful. This was like a paradise. The sister ran and held the woman's hand. She looked at her with eyes full of love. Tears rolled down in her eyes. She was crushed by the pain in her chest.

The sister asked, " What is your name?"

The woman answered, "Lissandra Osvaldo."

The sister uttered with a smile, " Very sweet name just like you."

Lissandra was struggling with labor pain. She was having difficulties with her breath. And her breath should go out immediately. Everyone was shocked by such a fuss. But the sister repeatedly wanted the child to die. It was better to die in the mother's womb than to suffer and die in front of the mother. 

After some time, there was the sound of the baby crying. It sounded sweet to Lissandra. She gave birth to a son. The result of seven years of waiting. She tried to have kids but failed. She only prayed to God to give her a child or death. After seven years of waiting, her dream finally came true.

 Forgetting the pain of childbirth, Lissandra held her child. Salty water rolled down the corners of her eyes. 

There is a saying; Happy things don't last long.  

Suddenly there was a sound. "Woooo."

Because of this sound, the whole area was seized. There was the sound of heavy steps in the forest. The sister suddenly took the child in her arms. The beauty of the flower was falling on the face of the child. The child  raised his red lips as if he wanted to say something.

The sister murmured, "I can't let you get hurt from anything. You are the life of Lissandra. You are her light."

Lissandra was so stunned hearing all this. Everyone in the village was telling them to escape by the river bank. Everyone's eyes were full of tears. Lissandra took the child in her arms and gently placed a kiss on his face. Then holding Octavious's hand, they walked alongside the river.

Suddenly, a big wolf stood in front of them. Seeing this everyone gathered in fear.  Lissandra was not left to understand what was going to happen now. Even so, she took a strong walk. The wolf was furious. His screams filled the air making the atmosphere heavy. The sister ran to the feet of the wolf. She begged desperately only for the child.  But the greedy tongue was  spread across the mouth of the wolf. Then everything happened in the blink of an eye.

"No!"

 The area was cut off by the sound of shouting!! Looking at the child's frozen dead body, Lissandra's jaw became hard, light brown eyes started to turn red and the tattoo near the hand lit up like a fountain.  The wolf turned into a human. He was staring at the lady in front of him.

Lissandra used all her power without giving any answer. She threw both her hands together towards Sebastian. Instantly Sebastian turned into ice. As he turned completely into ice, Lissandra fell down.  Looking at the bright moon in the sky, she smiled.

All the strength she had stored for years, she finally used it. Suddenly she lost consciousness. Octavious looked at the lifeless girl who had left everything and just ran away with him. Octavious sighed and looked at his dead child. A tear rolled down from his eyes.
