The Premise: Logic is the Ultimate Truth In the eyes of the common folk of the Yulan Continent, magic is a divine blessing—a mystical, ethereal force channeled through prayer, ancient bloodlines, and the rhythmic chanting of cryptic incantations. To the elite mages, it is an arcane art that requires a lifetime of meditation to grasp even a sliver of its profound "mystery." But for Jax, a legendary peak-level hacker who met his end in a high-stakes digital war, the world looks very different. When he was reborn into this realm of swords and sorcery, he didn't see "mysteries." He saw source code. While the world’s most powerful Archmages stare in awe at a 10th-tier magic circle, Jax’s mind is already identifying the architectural flaws. To him, the glowing runes aren't sacred symbols; they are lines of a poorly written, legacy operating system. The Ultimate Battlemage: Hardware Meets Software Jax isn't content with standing in the back row. He views his own body as the Hardware and magic as the Driver. By applying "Overclocking" logic to his muscular system and "Low-Latency" patches to his reflexes, he becomes a terrifying Battlemage. He doesn't just cast spells; he integrates them into his blade. Imagine a sword strike where the "Impact" variable is edited in real-time to include explosive Fire damage, or a parry that uses "Vector Redirection" to send an opponent's momentum back at them. In the heat of melee combat, Jax is a blur of logic and steel—a warrior who calculates the trajectory of every strike before it’s even swung. Deconstructing the Hierarchy The world of Yulan is obsessed with ranks: The Specialization Realm, the Sacred Realm, the Esoteric Realm. These are considered the peak of human achievement—impenetrable ceilings that only the "chosen" can reach. To Jax, these aren't realms of enlightenment. They are Permission Levels. If a Sacred Realm mage is a "User" with elevated privileges, and an Esoteric Master is an "Administrator," then Jax is the Root User. He doesn't ask the world for permission to use magic; he enters the command line and forces the world to comply. Firewalls are meant to be bypassed, and "God-tier" restrictions are just encryption keys waiting to be crcked.

Chapter 1

The rhythmic clack-clack-clack of mechanical keys echoed incessantly through the room.

It was a cramped, dimly lit studio apartment. Heavy curtains were drawn tight, barricading the interior against any sliver of natural light. This effectively blurred the line between day and night, and with it, the passage of time itself. The young man sitting before the monitor—whom we will now call Jax—could no longer remember exactly how long he had been glued to that chair.

The small space was a wasteland of neglect: half-eaten takeout containers, piles of laundry, and empty soda bottles littered the floor. On the desk, a mountain of empty caffeine cans stood like a monument to his exhaustion. Because the air hadn't circulated in weeks, a damp, musty odor hung heavy in the room. Jax himself looked like a ghost of a man—his hair was a matted mess, a thick stubble shadowed his jaw, and his clothes were stained with the marks of a man who had forgotten the world existed outside his screen.

Clack, clack, clack-clack... Clack, clack... Clack.

In a sudden, sharp instant, the noise stopped. Jax stared at the monitor with bloodshot eyes, a faint, weary smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

Suddenly, his phone erupted into a frantic ringtone. He froze, his brain taking a few seconds to process the sound before he fished the device out from under a pile of coffee cans. Seeing the number flashing on the screen, he hesitated for a heartbeat, then pressed 'Accept.'

"Jax," a clear, sharp female voice came through the speaker. "Are you still trying to stop us? To stop the very virus you created?"

"No..." Jax replied with a soft laugh. But before the girl could breathe a sigh of relief, he continued, "Actually, I just finished. I’ve developed the counter-code for the Sky-Hammer Virus. Once I upload this to the web, the plague that’s been paralyzing the global network for the last month will be completely purged."

His words sent a wave of panic through the girl. "Jax, I’m warning you—don’t do it! I can give you money. As much as you want..."

"This was the bitter fruit I planted," he said, his voice laced with a sudden, profound melancholy. "Selina, you and the interests you represent used my creation to profit from a global catastrophe. I won’t sit back and watch it happen anymore. It ends here."

"Jax, please! If the Sky-Hammer is destroyed, they’ll kill me..."

"You chose this path for yourself. I trusted you once, and yet you..." Jax’s voice trailed off, caught between grief and a fading spark of anger. He sighed, the weight of the betrayal finally settling. "Good luck, Selina. You’re on your own."

He cut the call.

The phone immediately began to ring again, but Jax didn't spare it another glance. He tossed the device aside like a piece of junk.

Few people in the world knew the name Jax, but those who did understood it represented the undisputed zenith of the hacking world. He was young, yet since his debut, he had accomplished feats that the veterans of the field deemed impossible. In the dark corners of the web, he was whispered about as "The Sorcerer," because his code was as volatile, magical, and ethereal as a grand enchantment. The crown jewel of his career—and his greatest sin—was the Sky-Hammer Virus.

It was a piece of malware so explosive and devastating that Jax had intended to keep it locked away forever.

But then Selina appeared. He had loved her, trusted her, and shared his world with her. For six months, he had been happy. Then, one morning, Selina vanished, taking the Sky-Hammer source code with her. Three days later, a global cyber-crisis erupted. An international crime syndicate used the virus to hijack banks, corporations, and even government infrastructures.

The world was in a state of terror. Only then did Jax realize Selina’s true purpose: she was a "thief" hired specifically to infiltrate his life.

Though he was a hacker, Jax lived by a code—a rogue’s honor. Because the disaster was his creation, he decided to challenge his own masterpiece. For a month, he lived in a state of near-total sleep deprivation, fighting a war against his own genius.

And finally, he had won. This counter-program represented a leap beyond his former self; he had surpassed his own peak.

"It’s over..."

Jax’s hand hovered over the Enter key. One press, and the counter-code would deploy, automatically identifying and scrubbing every trace of the Sky-Hammer from the global network. The month-long nightmare would cease.

His finger descended.

As he watched the progress bar on the screen inch toward 100%, a sudden, violent wave of fatigue crashed over him. He tried to stand, swaying as he pushed off the chair, but his body refused to obey. His equilibrium shattered. He stumbled, legs buckling, and collapsed heavily onto the floor.

In his fading consciousness, he could still hear the distant, muffled ringing of the phone. But a deep, absolute darkness was beginning to veil his vision.

He was too tired. Perhaps this was the end?

It wasn't a bad way to go. At the very least, he died at the summit of his craft. His Sky-Hammer had remained uncrackable for a month, only to be dismantled by his own hand. That was enough.

He had no regrets.

Chapter 2

“If you want to seize my family's shop today, you'll have to step over my greatsword first!”

“Heh heh, little Debbie, why make things difficult? Your father passed away and left you with a massive debt for his funeral. According to our contract, if you can’t pay, Antony’s Magic Cottage belongs to me. It’s all there in black and white. Are you trying to go back on your word?”

“Buska, you know d*mn well I could have paid that debt! For the past few days, you’ve been illegally driving away my customers and sabotaging my business just to ensure I couldn’t raise the gold. Everyone knows you’ve been eyeing this shop for years!”

“Heh heh heh... say what you like. The contract is here, and you have no choice but to hand over the shop. Little Debbie, I suggest you don’t do anything stupid.”

As his consciousness flickered back to life, Jax was suddenly hit by this jarring conversation.
