A Fate So Cruel

This book made me so freaking mad! So the fmc was an annoying, judgmental, hot-headed, obnoxious, and barely-grown 20 year old drunkard who constantly made poor choices and ridiculed the other girls (some of whom are a bit slutty, I'm sure) who mostly just aren't self-righteous virgins who were taught to think of sex as some precious flower or something... Or, you know, just normal women who like an active sex life? 🙄 But, because everyone thinks she's some gorgeous, sexy, strong and intelligent gem of a girl, they all throw themselves at her and she has to choose one of all these super-hot and way-too-good-for-her princes, and she gets to be a queen in the end. There's zero sex, just an FYI. Just a couple instances of 3rd base (but only for the girl, of course) and tons of kissing, and the book ends with her still an unmarried virgin. There are tons of typos throughout, some repeated chapters or parts of chapters (including mixed up, wrong and repeated names) and it's either gone through a translation (doubtful) or someone was pounding a thesaurus to try to make the whole thing sound smarter, but a lot of the words or phrases were not used correctly... Very disappointing because it starts out as an interesting book with a captivating plot, and then just goes downhill the rest of the way. Very few high points with lots of added drama, author/reader confusion and almost no sexy stuff. Not worth the read, honestly. The author also hasn't corrected any of the major issues, even a year after the comments calling out repeated chapters and such. Still, I gave it a rating of 2 out of 5. It could be even worse, though not by a lot.
