Annotation
Soleil I met Quillon when I ran from home. He was rude. I expected that from a rogue like him, but he still offered help. Or maybe I pushed him to help? It doesn't matter. There was no way I thought I'd be safe outside the comfort of my home, but with him, I felt free and in solace. But he was so broken, shattered, and I don't know why I kept feeling like he was keeping something... Quillon She came the day I decided to give up. Being the Alpha King's target for years and concealing myself so I wouldn't be found has been a pain in the *ss. But this woman came, and my mind was set that I wouldn't help her. Then after letting her pass out outside my tent, I found out that she was my mate. I was thrilled to know I got a fated one, but I decided to conceal our bond. So she wouldn't know that she was mine... and I was hers. ** If you have read Call Me Alpha and Alpha of the Shadows, Quillon was mentioned in these stories. Its better if you read those books first so you'll have a better understanding of Quillon my love. Anyway, enjoy reading!

I dropped the last werewolf alive with a single twist of his neck. His dead body fell on my feet, limp and silent.
‘They found us too fast this time,’ my wolf said.
It hasn't been a week since the last encounter I had with the Alpha King’s hunters, and they have already found my new hideout.
Zeron, the werewolf realm’s Alpha King, was hell-bent on capturing me. He wanted the power I was born with, gifted by the heavens and moon goddesses.
“It can't be helped. I used my powers recently, Zeron caught up quickly.” I answered my wolf.
The powers inside me were the same as the Alpha King's. It was also the reason why he wanted me under his command.
Or maybe he wanted me dead.
‘I think he wants us dead. Those hunters were aiming for the kill, not to capture.’
My wolf was right. I sighed.
I've been trying to do the same power tracking with Zeron, but I haven't grasped the capability of my power.
If only I could have known where he was, then I could've brought my parents back. To save them.
“Don't come for us!” My mother's words echoed in my head. “Live, my son, don’t save us!”
The memories of the time they were taken were etched in my memory like a leech. There's no way I'll continue living normally without them being safe and free.
It's been years, and my goal hasn't changed: To find my parents and save them.
‘What now?’ my wolf asked, bored.
I looked around, and the corpses of the werewolves I killed were scattered everywhere.
“We’ll find another spot.”
Like a stray rogue, I need to find another place to hide from.
Again.

"This is your fate! You should follow what I say!" my father's voice echoed like thunder. The hairs on my body stood as I trembled. Not with fear, but because of his power as the alpha that holds me. And though I hate to admit, I am under that power.
"You are not listening to me, Father. I won't marry! I don't want to marry some stranger!"
My father's shoulder trembled in silent laughter. "You think you had a choice? You don’t, Soleil."
I can feel my blood boiling. It was the truth. Once you meet your mate, no matter if you know who they are or not, fate will bind them together.
But I always believed that would be my case. I believed I’ll find my mate the same way everyone does. To be with my fated one. Now, my father makes sure I’ll receive his blessing to marry just anyone he picked for me!
The rebellion forming in my head has reflected in my expression, and it didn't escaped my father's eyes.
He sighed. "You're leaving me with no choice." He motioned for his right-hand man, Callix. "Lock her up and don't let her escape," then he turned to me. "You will wait until I fix things with your soon-to-be husband. In the meantime, I revoke all your privileges as my daughter."
My eyes widened, looking back and forth to Callix, who started to walk towards me.
"You can't do this to me!"
But all I see was my father's back as he started to walk away.
There’s always no one on my side. If only my mother was still alive, she wouldn’t let my father do this to me!
Callix grabbed my arm and started dragging me out of the hall.
This place might be grand, a total luxury, everything anyone could ask for.
But there is certainly one thing it lacked in my eyes.
Freedom.
And I will do everything to get that. Even if it means I throw everything I have, everything I am.
Even if I have to go rogue.

Chapter One
Soleil
I was miles away. I knew I was. But I didn't stop running as if someone was on my trail. Or maybe someone is? Nevertheless, I must keep on going.
This is it! I have finally broken free from that place, from my father, from obligations I no longer need or even want.
I managed to escape Callix and a few more guards stationed to watch over me. Sneaking out of a place I'm too familiar with was easy. And I'm glad I finally dared to leave home.
It doesn't feel like home anymore, anyway.
My body has become weak days of deprivation of food and rest, but I don't mind.
I finally broke myself out. I finally detangled my connection with my father, and I was no longer a member of his pack.
And that's all that matters.
At last, I finally saw a tent from afar. Half a kilometer away. I should head there and ask for help, or else I'll die from exhaustion and hunger.
