Luna Returns II

After the first part of her life was over, she could swear that she was nowhere near taking Hardin down for good. She could cry over her past mistakes but she knew better than to do that. She was aware that it was going to get her nowhere. She was in the living room with Adam and he looked at her

"I just want..." he said

"I was really..." she said

They started at the same time and then she stopped and smiled at him

"You go first" she said to him

"I just want to apologize for everything I said that day, Daisy. I didn't mean any of what I said to you. I was hurt and I wanted you to feel the same pain that I felt and I said all of that to you. You didn't deserve any of that and I just want to say that I am sorry for everything that I said to you. I want you here, Daisy. I want you to be a part of my life and no, I don't want a long distance relationship with you. I want you to be here, with me" he said to her

"I was really hoping that you were going to say that when I said I was leaving in the beginning. I was hoping you would convince me to stay here and not push me away. I was hoping that you would be happy to see me but I was wrong, wasn't I?" she said to him

"No, you were not wrong. Daisy, heaven knows how happy I was to see you when you got back. I was and I was an idiot to act like I didn't care because I do care about you, I always will but then you said something about leaving. How was I supposed to deal with that news? How am I supposed to cope with you leaving? I got you back and now I am supposed to let you go? Life keeps proving that you need us just like we need you so why are you trying to fight destiny?" he asked her

"Because I have to. If I don't, Hardin would come here and he is going to kill everyone of you to get to me. I don't want anybody else to die just because they want to protect me. It doesn't make sense to me and it definitely does not sit well with me" she said to him

"That is not your choice to make, Daisy. I don't care if it sits well with you or not. I don't care, Daryl doesn"t care, Ryan doesn't care and your aunt doesn't care either. We are going to do all we can to protect you. You are one of us. Packs stick together no matter what. We chose to fight beside you and that is what we will do. Nobody forced us to make that decision. We made it on our own. Lok, I can't promise you that things would get easier. I cant promise you that it is going to be fine from this moment forward. I can't assure you that you will not lose anybody to my father or we wouldn't be betrayed the same way we were betrayed by my sister because if things come down to the worst and I have to trade my loyalty to you for your life, I will! Life can get really funny and we cam get into trouble with all of this. We can get into situations that would look like there is no possible way to get out from but one thing I can assure you is that I would be here no matter what. I would stand by you and I would be by your side until the end of time, until all of this is over, until you take your last breath or I take mine. I would be here by your side. You always told me that it was better to do things together than to do them alone and that is exactly what I am telling you too" he said to her

"Together only works when both parties can agree. You have never and I doubt if you will ever agree to my methods. You will never agree to the way I do my things because you are always going to try to protect me. You are always going to try to shield me from danger even in the most impossible situations" She said to him

"I do that because I love you, Daisy. I can't stand you being hurt. I would never be a fan of you running into danger but I wouldn't stop you. The only time I would stop you is when you decode to run into danger alone. We are supposed to be in this together. I let you live on your own for nine months and you ended up dead so no, I am not letting you do this on your own, not anymore. If you go in alone and things get messy, have it at the back of your mind that I would be the one coming for you, not Daryl or Ryan, me!" he said to her

"That would get you killed and you know it" she said to him

"I don't care. If you go in, I am going in with you! What is wrong with that? You are allowed to run into danger and I am not? If you want to do take risks that would possibly lead to your death, go ahead, I wouldn't stop you. What I would do is to follow you" he said to her

"Stop being so stubborn, D*mn it!" she said

"You are the one being stubborn, Daisy! Not me" he said to her, relaxing into the sofa and smiling at her

"The both of you are being stubborn and sometimes, I wonder how on earth you even ended up together in the first place" Daryl said as he walked out of the kitchen and dropped Daisy's food on the table with a bottle of water and a glass of milk

"He is being stubborn" Daisy said to her brother

"You are both being stubborn but Daisy has a point..." Daryl said

"You see, even Daryl understands this" She said, interrupting him

"Daisy, I wasn't done talking. Daisy, You have a point and a very valid point as at that but Adam has a more valid point. No matter how brave r strong or smart you are, You can't do this on your own, You can't do any of this on your own. You need people around you. You need us to win this war just as we need you. You said that you needed space and time and you have had that for nine months. If you ask me, I think that is more than enough time and space to get yourself together. You can't keep this up. The longer Hardin lives, the more our people suffer in silence. You keep saying that we wouldn't agree to your methods. How can we? You believe in running right into the fire and we don't. We believe in planning and strategizing. We don't agree to your methods, yes but you don't agree to ours too. What we can do is create a common ground where we all understand each other and rub minds together, where we can agree on whose method we would be using and what we would be doing" Daryl said to her

Daisy sighed and nodded at her brother. She knew that he had a point and that was the only way they could all move on from this topic because she was never going to agree with Adam and he was never going to agree with her so the best option was to find a common ground like her brother had said.

"Alright. Now that we are all on the same page and it is just three of us, let us talk about our next course of action. What are we going to do about Hardin? How are we going to stop him and end this chapter of our lives once and for all?" Daryl asked

"You know that we can't talk about that until the rest are back" Daisy said to him

"I agree. We should wait for Ryan and Jolie to get back so we can actually discuss on what to do next. While we are waiting, I would like to know Daisy's next course of action. What are you going to do now?" Adam asked to her

"I would probably have to get back to my former apartment and pack up whatever I left behind and then I would have to return the car of course. I also have some last minutes errands to run" she said to him

"Alright. Adam would follow you. Your first stop would be to return the car. Adam wold drive one of the available cars while you drive the rented one and he would follow you closely behind. When you are done with that, you would get into the car and he will take you home so you can pack everything you need to pack and he can bring you home" Daryl said to her

She nodded at her brother and headed to her room. She changed, still feeling a little weak but she didn't have a choice. She knew that time wasn't on her side again and she needed to put her life in order before Hardin decided to make another strike. She looked around her room and she had to admit that she was glad to be home. She changed into more comfortable clothes before grabbing the keys to her car and heading down. She met Adam waiting for her and she looked at him. He held her gaze for a moment and then he looked away. She sighed and headed out. Adam got up and followed her. He got into the SUV and Daisy smiled. Nice choice, she said to herself. She drove to the rental store and dropped the key. She walked out and she saw Adam standing by the car. She smiled at him and got into the car. He got into the car and sat down. He didn't move or start the car. All he did was sit there and stare at the road

"What is wrong?" she asked him

"I don't know. Driving down here, I had a lot of time to think about everything. I almost lost you Daisy and for a moment, I wasn't going to let them kill you. I was going to let them allow you to kill me because I felt like it was easier that way. I felt that it would be better to have you live without me than for me to live without you. For a moment, every memory we had together played before my eyes and I just couldn't imagine my life without you. When Hailey decided that it was best to put you in a pendant, I freaked out. I knew that only a few times has that kind of spell been successful. I wasn't going to give them the permission to murder you and then put your soul into a pendant but I gave them the permission and they did. I carried you around my neck until that faithful morning. I woke up and after having a shower, I was about to put the necklace on my neck when I noticed the cracks. Then Hailey tried to put you back in and the pendant broke while you were still in it and I freaked out" he said to her

"Why are you telling me all of this?" She asked him

"Daisy, losing you hurts as hell. Life without you is dark and lonely and I don't want to ever go through that. I know you probably think that I am against your every plan to take down my father but I am not. I swear to you that I am not. What I don't like is when your plan involves you almost losing your life" he said to her

"I don't think you are against my every plan" she said to him with a warm smile

"Hold on, I know. I just really need to get this off my chest. Taking my father sown is necessary. I have come to understand this really. I have accepted that even though he is my family, He has to be taken down. I really have but the thought of losing you in the process is something I don't think I can accept. You have trained yourself to be at the receiving end of all of this. You are in the front line and you don't care how hard the blows are. You are ready to receive it and maybe that is fine with you but it is not fine with me. I understand that this is a fight that you have to win but at what cost? How many times have you come close to dying? If killing my father means that you have to die then maybe we should find another way to get rid of my father" he said to her

"Adam, I would not die. You wouldn't lose me, okay?" she said to me
