Chapter 1 Start

Von's Point of View

"Sorry, I'm late," Van murmured grudgingly, sitting beside me in his chair. I stayed mute as our brother glanced at him. That *ssh*l* b*st*rd isn't feeling well today.

Fin inquired, "What happened to your face?"

"A stranger came up and punched me in the face," he explained. I started eating quietly while listening to them.

"What? "How come you didn't call me right away?" Fin inquired once more.

"As if you really care?" Van responded, so I gave him my full attention.

"What is happening to you, Van?" Creed asked. Van didn't respond, so I did.

"He's not in the mood," I explained, and they both looked at me.

"Why, and what happened?" Dad asked. Van did not respond again, so I replied once more.

"Ughm... his date with Aphrodite was ruined," I said. They were all staring at Van.

"What?" Leona inquired.

"And then a stranger came here and punched his face," I explained before drinking wine.

"The f*ck?" Leana questioned, her brow furrowed.

"Let's forget about it," Dad said.

While Dad talked to Fin and Clementine, I ate quietly. They mentioned Clementine was about to give birth, which piqued our interest. Until the conversation is now with Creed. They said Rizden was pregnant, which delighted us even more because someone would be added to the Vaughn Clan.

Until Leona and Leana's chat came to an end.

"I think I'm going to have a boyfriend soon," Leana said.

"Who's the lucky guy?" Dad inquired.

"He's a merman, Dad," Leona murmured, and Dad turned to face her.

"Really? Is he a merman?"

"Did I think mermaids and witches would fight?" Van chimed in.

"Van is right," Dad said.

"But, father, Dreko is good. He is, in fact, distinct from all other mermaids." Leana defended herself.

"I really want to see that merman." Leana smiled and nodded as Dad spoke.

"Leona. Look for your future husband," Dad said as he ate the meat.

"If you didn't want to end up just like what happened to Von." I grimaced at what Dad said as I stared at him.

"Huh?" Dad grinned as he glanced at me.

"Because you and Van will be 26th years old next week. I arranged for your wedding." I released the utensils I was holding.

"What?" I ask in disbelief. He organized my wedding? What the hell is going on?

"Why? You're already 26th years old; you should get married." Dad stated.

"And why should it be me?" I inquired, agitated. I don't like being led around. I'm waiting for someone! I can't marry a woman I've never met! "Because you are the only one of my sons who has not yet married. Look at Van, he's rushing after his soon-to-be-wife."

"But I don't have to be married. I'm not ready yet. I believed that getting married would be in good time, not now" I was irritated. I never expected this to happen to me. I'm going to be married to a woman I've never met!

"You can enjoy the rest of your life with your soon-to-be wife."

"What the hell, Dad?" I'm not even interested in finding out who it is." I grumbled. I want to scold him, but I can't since he's still my father. My hunger has vanished.

"Dad, Von can also find a wife soon, don't rush him." Van stood up for me.

"Otherwise, when? When I'm already dead?" Dad inquired, shaking his head. "We're better prepared and should multiply our race because there's only one Vaughn."

"How could you arrange a marriage with someone I've never met?" I inquired, agitated.

"Your future wife is lovely. You'll love her."

"Dad, I really, really don't want to!" In irritation, I yelled and stood up.

"If you want, you can marry her." "I'm not going to." I was irritated and transported to my room.

I was so irritated that I threw everything in my room. I sat up in annoyance and flung away the vases I could see.

Why does he need to plan a wedding? I am waiting for someone and can't marry someone I don't love or know.

I walked up to the patio and yelled.

It never occurred to me that Dad would do something like this to me.

"Do not cry." Van's tone of voice. I didn't say anything. He approached me and took a step back.

"Are you scared because of what Dad said?" He inquired. I sighed as I glanced at him.

"I'm waiting for someone, Van," I said, remembering the woman I was waiting for who promised we'd meet after 5 years and declared we were destined for each other. "Who?" he said.

I didn't respond to him. I'm not going to tell him.

"Dad said you'll be married in two months. And at our birthday party, he'll reveal who you'll marry." I clenched my hand in frustration. What Dad stated will remain unchanged.

"I don't want to get married, Van," I murmured hoarsely, tears streaming down my cheeks.

"I'm not ready to be tied to another woman yet," I continued, remembering Lit's expression.

"I know I'm your twin, but we can't do anything." He stated.

"What Dad said, nothing can be broken unless he takes it back." He went on to say.

"I'm starting to hate Dad, "I muttered. "He's not asking for my opinion," I exclaimed. He approached me and hugged me.

I'm waiting for Lit... I know she will come back

Chapter 2 Arrange Marriage

Everyone is busy because of our birthday party later. I was excited about my yearly birthday, but now I am not.

I'm now standing on our house's roof. I prefer to be alone. I don't want to see one of my brothers or sisters first.

Van sat next to me, and I took a deep breath.

"What exactly are you doing here?" I inquired rudely, stating that I did not wish to see one of my brothers.

"I thought you fled," he said. I laughed quietly to myself.

"If it's possible, why not," I reasoned. "Dad put an electric force on my bracelet," I explained. I examined the bracelet Lit had given me before leaving Vampire High.

"Whenever I try to leave, electricity releases from my bracelet into my body, causing me to weaken," I explained. What Dad did to me was as if I was a prisoner.

"Why don't you just remove the bracelet?" He inquired. I started shooked my head.
