"You know, we have been living peacefully with the humans because we feed on animal blood alone, so if you're going to stay here then you better adapt, I don't want to see that color on your eyes again" my Dad said authoritatively to Uncle Erin, and I sat there like a moron trying to process everything.      Uncle Erin chuckled. "Of course brother, I will adapt"     Torino's face was lit as he analyzed Uncle Erin's face. "You feed on human blood? How does it taste?!" He asked with burning desire in his eyes.     "Torino!" My father cautioned him and he maintained immediately. Now, all eyes rested on my wonderous and speechless lips.       "What's going on here, please?" I asked faintly.       Torino chuckled. "What's happening here is that we are all vampires including you, and today happens to be the day we send you off as a gift and a seal of agreement and peace between our specie and the werewolves. Today, the Alpha Oregon Viciano will claim you as his mate, forever and you're never getting free from it."  . . . "I assure you, I'm the Alpha, fear not, I will protect and take care of you because you're my queen and I'll have you in bed all night" Elena Whitehead has just turned 18 and her birthday gift is being a token of peace and seal of agreement between the vampires and the werewolves. All she ever wanted was to be an independent woman... "If I can't get what I want, then no one's getting what they want. I know you didn't just come back for me. You have a plan and I'm your weapon, you are going to use me to kill the Alpha, my mate..."

Gifted To The Alpha

My name is Elena Whitehead and I am the daughter of Hayden Panettiere Whitehead. My father is born of royalty but at the least level so he is a cabinet member serving Italy's royal family.

For that, I was opportuned to visit the royal house anytime and any day I wanted so they treated me like a princess.

Although there was only one true princess, Princess Claire, my best friend, and her brother, Prince Corenzo who was always serious with his studies he never cared to play or hang out with us, because he didn't like me so much; so I thought.

I am rich, spoilt and given anything I desire both from my own family and the royal family. I have many servants; they are many because I punish and sack them when they make mistakes.

If you are my servant, you better learn to be hundred percent perfect because I hated it otherwise.

The day was Sunday and after the sermon hosted by the royal house, I was driven home by my driver in my favourite pink sport car, because an old uncle of mine who was rumoured to have been living a long life away from human civilization was coming to visit!

And he wanted to see me, for the first time I was going to see my uncle whom I have heard so much about.

"Hey, Elena" my cousin, Torino greeted once the driver opened the door for me to step out. My presence brought a crown of smile on my father's face.

"Greetings, My lovely father" I bowed to my father, parting my gown to allow my knee to bend a little, ignoring Torino who hissed at my hearing.

"Welcome back, my princess…"

"Fake Princess, Mr Whitehead" Torino scoffed.

My father chuckled. "Oh come on, be nice—"

"He wouldn't be—" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Because you are not nice, my fake Princess…" he winked at me and joined the decorators at the field. My father held my arm into his and walked me inside the mansion.

The Whitehead Mansion was one of the oldest around and it had a very rich history. But I don't care about the big Library in the middle of the mansion; I'm sure many legendary intellectuals studied there; maybe.

It was that library that got Prince Corenzo and he would spend all the time in a day with Torino; boring, so boring. Prince Corenzo was a handsome and charming prince, he had this gentle and loving energy.

But I dared not tell him that he was handsome, he didn't care about me, so why would I? I couldn't afford getting lost in his deep blue ocean eyes and getting sweeped off from the earth by his deep masculine hot and sexy voice.

But a better package was coming. I wasn't into boys anyways, I didn't care about love. I just wanted to live anyhow and anyway I wanted, by myself.

"How excited are you about your birthday?" My father asked as we settled down on one of the executive chairs in the living room, close to the fireplace.

"I mean, it's awesome. I feel really good that I'm finally 18!" I grinned, squeeing in excitement. And the smile from my father's face melted my heart as much as mine did to him.

A male servant came out from the serving area in the house and bowed to us.

"What can I get for you?" He asked.

I looked at my father and smiled, he chuckled. He knew why. "Get me that wine!" I ordered.

The wine that my father had been keeping away from me until I was an adult. I just got to be an adult and it was going to be a great ride! Before the servant could go and come back with the red wine, Torino came into the sitting room.

He sat down on the couch away from us and switched on the television which was showing a matured American show. I scoffed at him and he looked at me like I was nothing.

Torino was the only that didn't treat me like the baby of the house. But was I?

The servant came back yielding an exotic red wine on a tray with two glass cups and set it on the table before us.

"Huh? …" Torino exclaimed. "She gets to have the wine? What about me? I'm her senior" he complained.

"Calm down, Torino, she can't finish it" my father defended.

The wine was causing a lot of fuss for many reasons. One, it was a family trademark wine and honoured. Two, there are limited crates, and it wasn't meant to be finished soon.

I deserved it because it was my eighteenth birthday, but something was odd. It didn't seem to be just because of my birthday, because I wouldn't be having one full bottle, maybe it was because of my uncle?

"Why won't you just go back to where ever you are coming from, Torino?" I snarled and asked the servant to remove the cork.

Torino went silence for a moment, my father glanced at our faces, and left— he knew we were going to have a very big argument again, and he wasn't going to put mouth in it. He never did.

He believed that if a family has an issue, they would have to settle it themselves, that was what made them stronger. Ah, who cares?

"You are just jealous" he hissed and relaxed on the couch.

"Of what?" But I knew very well that it was a family house, and Torino had been living with us since I was a baby. He was only two years older than me. "You are the one who is jealous…"

I sticked out my tongue to piss him off. He hated it when I did that, and he would want to beat me, so we would run around the compound.

"Hey, stop making pissing me off!" He snarled.

I laughed like an evil villain. "Make me stop"

"Fake princess"

"You have to try harder!"

He stood up from the couch and rushed at me, but I got up before he could reach and we laced outside, where we stopped at once at the worthy-of-marvel in front of us.

"His royal majesty, Prince Corenzo!" The man announced the presence of Prince Corenzo. He was escorted with black tinted Bugatti Veyrons and he came in a Lamborghini Limousine.

As his foot met the ground, everyone bowed and marveled at his energy. He was so cute and looked the part of a prince.

"Always a Grand welcome…" Torino said as we stood in front of the door. We would be the last people to receive him.

"Jealous. You will never be a prince…" I reminded him that even in his next life he would'nt dare to dream it.

"Welcome, your highness…" Torino greeted him with a smile as he led him inside the house. I thought he would look at me or even talk to me but he didn't. What was I even thinking?! I didn't care about boys anyway, so whatever!

I waited cheerfully for Princess Claire to finish greeting everyone else with her royalty vibes. When she was done, she walked straight to me extending her arms and I hugged her without even wasting time.

"Happy birthday Elena" she said with a very beautiful smile that made me respect and admire her more. After my father, Princess Claire was the second most important person in my life and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

"Thank you so much my princess!"

"I'm Claire, your best friend. Not your princess" she rolled her eyes and we laughed it off, heading inside.

A moment later we were left alone to party in the sitting room while everyone else had their fun outside. It wasn't a great gathering, you know. Just a typical family and friends gathering.

And talking about family, I just got to see one who I haven't seen before or better put, in a long while.

"Elena…" it was the voice of my father. "Someone is here to see you" the sound of his voice was delightful. I turned around to see a rather rugged and deceptive looking young man, he could be highest, 30 years old.

"Hello, Elena" his voice ushered in. It was calm and smooth and he had a vivid crimson eyes.

I had many questions and I was going to start with "who—"

"Uncle Erin!" Torino cheered, getting up at once to greet him.

"Uncle Erin?" It hit me more than I could imagine. Uncle Erin was supposed to be an old man according to how they described him as having lived a long life away from human civilization.

He came in and sat beside Torino, facing me. He put on a smiling face that didn't look like it was ever going to fade away.

"Happy birthday, Elena. You must've heard a lot about me"

I looked into his eyes, slightly anxious and unsure of what to say to him. But, "you know what? It's my birthday and I don't want to think about these whole thing, I mean I'm even about to go crazy with the little bit I'm taking in—"

"Actually…" he looked at Torino and at my Dad who nodded his head. It was becoming weird and a strange feeling was creeping in.

My Dad looked at Prince Corenzo and Princess with a smile. "Could you two please give us space and a little bit of time? We are kind of having a family meeting here"

"W-what is going on?" I stammered, glancing through their faces. Torino especially was calm as if he knew what was happening.

The prince and princess left and my Dad sat beside me placing my hand on his palm.

"Of course brother, I will adapt"

Torino's face was lit as he analyzed Uncle Erin's face. "You feed on human blood? How does it taste?!" He asked with burning desire in his eyes.

"Torino!" My father cautioned him and he maintained immediately. Now, all eyes rested on my wonderous and speechless lips.

Chapter 2: My Owner And My Savior

My heart was already beating against my ribcage as a winkle furrowed between my eyebrows. Torino must be crazy, or he drank too much alcohol and I was ready to laugh at him.

But would they gather together just to make a sick joke on my 18th birthday? "And that is why I am here…" Uncle Erin stated. "Don't mind Torino. He makes it sound like it's such a big deal. Trust me, it isn't"

Torino smiled. "well, we are about to find out" There was a commotion outside and they looked at each other, nodding in agreement. "He is here." My father said as he stood up and took me up with him, and I had to resist.

"Patera, will you tell me what's going on?" I was already feeling tears releasing from their keep to flood away through my stainless cheek. My breathing was unsteady and my mind wrecked; burdened with the possibilities of my life changing into something I never wanted just in a
