“Please stop! I am your father’s wife!” Amara pleaded even though she wanted nothing more for them to take her into their arms and make her theirs. All three of them. “Look into my eyes and tell me you don’t want me or my brothers and I swear we won’t bother you again!” Stefano challenged. Amara took a deep breath and with determination, raised her up to utter the words. As soon as Amara stared at Stefano, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her. ***** Her parents could pay up the debts they owe the gangster and in order for her father not to be killed, she agreed to be the bride of the gangster. A night before her wedding day, Amara went to the club to enjoy her last moment of freedom. At the club, Amara meets three men who gave her a night she will always remember. After the wedding, her husband introduces his sons to her, and to Amara’s horror, they were the three men from last night.
Chapter 1
“Be my bride and your father will go free!” He said.
Amara froze at his words, her heart pounding as his proposal hit her like a ton of bricks.
Marry him? The thought alone was disturbing.
Don Marco was not only old enough to be her father, he was also the most feared mafia Don in the whole city.
The idea of marrying him was one she would never pay heed to on normal circumstances.
But at this point, nothing was normal about what she was going through, Her father's life was on the line and she had no option.
An hour ago, Amara retured home from her shift at the cafe she works, only to find a terrifying scene in front of her house.
There were black cars parked outside her house with huge men that looked like thugs holding dangerous weapons.
At a glance, the first thought that crossed her mind was to flee from the scene before someone notices her.
However, just when she was about to run, she overheard a gunshot in the background, followed by loud screams coming right from her house.
Without second thought, Amara instinctively changed her mind and ran past the thug looking goons straight into her house.
In that instant, she remembered her family were at home and thought something bad had happened to them.
In the living room, Amara was both relieved and shocked at the same time.
She was relieved to see both her parents were alive and no one had been shot, however, they were in a compromising position.
Her mother and father were both on their knees, their hands thrembled as they begged for their dear lives.
Looking deeperingo the room, she noticed the old man sitting in her father’s favorite seat.
He looked very intimidating with a cigar in his hand and two hefty bodyguards stood behind him, they had their guns at alert.
Amara was terrified to see the fear in her parents eyes.
“What is going on here?” Amara asked, fell on her knees beside her parents as she bursted into tears.
“My daughter, run away, run!” her mother said. She didn't want her daughter also to be involved.
“No mom, I can't leave you hear”. Amara replied while sniffling her nose.
“You shouldn’t have entered! You should run away!.” Amara's father silently lamented.
He knew it would be hard for her to escape after being seen by the Don, yet he silently hoped they’d let his family go.
“Hey kid! Shut up!” one of the bodyguards standing behind the don said.
“Don’t you dare raise your voice in the presence of Don Marco. You are only allowed to speak if permitted.” he said, immediately drawing attention towards him.
At the mention of “Don Marco”, Amara raised her head to have a proper look at the man sitting comfortably on the only couch in their sitting room.
That name is well known in the streets of the city. Don Marco is a man that has great men trembling on their feet.
He controls the biggest mafia group in the city.
Fear gripped the heart of Amara as she wondered what a man like this wants with her family.
“Who is she?.” Don Marco asked as he blew the cigar while staring interestly at Amara.
“Please, keep her out of this!” Amara's father begged.
One of the men pressed a gun onto Amara’s dad's head and said, “When Don asked a question, you answered him!”
“I am his daughter! Please stop.” Amara answered as she went on her knees before Don Macro.
At this point, Amara didn’t know what was going on, but she knew Don Marco ws ‘t someone t play around.
“Your father owes me fifty million dollars and I am here to get it back.” Don Marco said in a calm voice.
There was total silence in the room and tension hanging thick in the air.
Amara was too speechless to say a word. The sight of her parents on their knees, surrounded by men who looked like they’d stepped out of a nightmare was terrifying.
Could this really be a nightmare? That money he mentioned was too much even for her father snd she kne2 it.
She slightly pinched herself and yelped at the pain.
This wasn't just a bad dream; this was her life, unraveling in real-time.
Money? How could her parents borrow such a huge amount of money?
And what did they do with the money? For as long as she could remembe, they were and always have been poor.
She decided to worry about that later, for now, she needed to know they are safe first.
“Please give us more time. We will pay you.” Amara pleaded on behalf of her parents.
“Times up kid. I have run out of patience. Say goodbye to your family.” Don Marco said.
Immediately he spoke those words, one of the men placed a gun to her father’s temple ready to shoot him.
“NO! NO please! I will do anything! Anything!” Amara pleaded as she fell face flat in front of Don Marco’s feet.
“Anything?” Don Marco asked with a smirk on his face.
“Yes. Please just don’t harm my family.”
“Marry me!” Don Marco stated. The whole room went silent.
”What?” Amara exclaimed, she wasn’t sure if she heard him right or not.
“Be my bride and your father will go free!” Don Marco repeated himself.
Amara froze, her heart pounding as his proposal hit her like a ton of bricks. Marry him? The thought was nauseating.
The idea of marrying him repulsed her. But what choice did she have? Her father's life was on the line.
“D you really promise to let my parents go?” she asked in a very low voice.
“No Amara, don't do it.” Amara's father begs her.
“Shut up!” The man holding the gun to her father’s head shouted at him as he hit the edge of the gun.
Amara was terrified. She knew these men were very dangerous and any answer she gives now will determine the fate of her family.
“I will do it! I will be your bride! Please don’t hurt my family.” Amara pleaded as she accepted her fate.
As long as her family won’t be harmed, then it’s all good.
“I will give you three days to say goodbye to your family and then our wedding will be held! And don’t think about trying to escape! Nobody can escape me!.” Don Marco uttered and signaled his men.
They all stood up and left.
“You won’t marry him! You can’t marry him.” Amara's mother burst into tears once they were alone.
“I won’t allow that! We will think of a way to pay him.” Amara's father tried to sound strong.
“But dad, why did you borrow such a hugeamount of money from him?”
Even if they sell everything they own, there is no way they could raise such an amount of money.
“We had no choice. You needed to undergo a heart transplant really quickly and no one was willing to lend us the money.” Amara's father explained.
Amara couldn’t help but burst into tears again. It’s all her fault. She brought this upon her family.
If she wasn’t sick, all this wouldn't have happened.
Amara was born with a very weak heart and last year, her heart had fallen and she needed a new one.
When she had asked her parents where they got the money for the operation, they had lied to her that an NGO had paid for it.
“It’s all my fault! I am sorry! I caused all this.” Amara lamented.
“No my child, don’t say that.” Amara's mom hugged her tight as the whole family cried together.
Chapter 2
Amara has already made peace with the fact that she is about to marry the most dangerous man in the city.
Amara tries not to think about it or puts up a sad face but rather, enjoy the three days of freedom she had with her family.
The three days went by really fast and tomorrow would be her wedding day.
On her wedding eve, Amara got anxious with the thought of marrying Don Marco and decided to sneak out of the house. She wanted a taste last night of freedom before she became the devil's bride.
Amara soon found herself standing in front of the most exclusive club in the city. Nervously, she steps in and makes her way to the bar.
The bright lights of the club drew her in, promising a brief escape from the reality waiting for her tomorrow.

The dance floor was packed, everyone lost in their own world, moving to the beat.
Amara sat an
