Annotation

A reunion held at a famous hotel in the capital ended in chaos. When one of the participants suddenly turns into a terrible creature. Those who were originally still ordinary humans, suddenly turned into the undead who began to attack the surroundings. Anyone who is bitten, and gets scratched by the undead will end up tragically. Such was the transmission of the rabies virus that soon turned Java into an island of the dead. The surviving humans tried to find a safe area, which turned out to be in a military base in Central Java. Alesha and her friends tried to survive the zombie attacks around them. Alesha and Satria's love story was re-engraved because of their closeness during the trip to the safe city. Meeting a group of military members at least helps them survive, even if only temporarily. Because in the end they still have to fight alone to survive and remain human. remain human. Maybe, just maybe, only their group survived the undead attack?

Chapter 1 A disastrous reunion

"Alesha!" screamed a woman behind me. The music sounded so loud that everyone had to speak in a high pitch to be heard.

I turned around, and the corners of my lips parted when I saw Mey, my close friend from high school. She was holding her boyfriend Tian, who was none other than our third-year classmate. Their relationship has lasted, until now. Unlike my relationship with ... Satria. That person was behind Tian. It was obvious that he was a new arrival like Mey and Tian.

We separated when we graduated from high school. All because I had to leave the capital and return to my hometown. Satria said he couldn't have a long-distance relationship, which we hadn't even tried. Of course that really hurt my feelings.

"How are you?!" greeted Mey, hugging me tightly. Well, 5 years had passed and we were just given the chance to meet again. This was the first time I returned to the capital after graduating from high school a few years ago. All because of the invitation of this reunion event, and actually I also plan to seek my fortune in this city, again.

My parents had passed away two years ago, and there was no longer any reason for me to remain in the city. Now I wanted to get back to pursuing the dreams that had been put on hold since I returned to my hometown.

"Good. My goodness, you're getting prettier, Mey," I complimented her while looking at her from head to toe.

"Hey, it's not the other way around. You're the one who's getting prettier. Living in the village, it makes your charm come naturally," she joked.

"Hm, if women have met, men will be forgotten," said Tian who glanced at the two of us in turn.

"Gosh, Tian, that's not it. Come here, hug me too, I miss you guys," I said and spread my arms to the sides. Tian hugged me back at a glance.

"How are you, Alesha?"

"Well, this is how it is."

We let go of each other's hugs and immersed ourselves in small talk between friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time.

Until finally, someone cleared their throat. I, who had realized his existence from the start, only glanced briefly. Tian, however, immediately turned his head and seemed to forget something. He tapped his forehead and pulled Satria into the circle of our conversation.

"That's why don't go far, Satria! AleSha, it's Satria who's been looking for you," Tian quipped and got a punch from Satria while looking at me unpleasantly.

"What the hell!" said Satria sarcastically to Tian, he then looked at me, unpleasantly. "Um, how's Alesha?" he asked. His hand reached out and without hesitation I welcomed his handshake.

“Fine. You?"

"I'm... the same." The look in Satria's eyes was still the same as the last time we met. However, somehow there is still a pain in my heart that has not healed if I remember him.

"Woi! Wow, we're all gathered here!" exclaimed Roni, who came with Nick.

Finally, our group was now complete. In high school, the six of us were always together. Now was the perfect time to get back together like we used to.

"After this event, we have to eat together. Just us, right?" asked Nick asking for our approval.

"Agreed!" said Tian.

We began to drift into this event. While enjoying the dishes provided by the committee, we certainly wouldn't miss chatting with old friends. We agreed to choose this hotel as the venue for this reunion event, we have all spent deeply so that today's event is luxurious, and memorable.

"Thirsty. Let's have a drink," Mey said, looking at the table with colorful water in fancy crystal glasses.

She took my hand, and walked towards the table. Our steps were halted, however, when one of our batchmates suddenly acted strangely. He looked like he was possessed by a demon. Screaming, and rolling on the floor. Everyone moved away out of fear. He was Rizal, the former student council president from our era. In his hand was a glass filled with a drink that he had just taken a few sips of and shoved down his throat.

Some of Rizal's close friends approached. Trying to provide first aid, or even just a barrage of questions that Rizal couldn't even answer. He was like someone who couldn't breathe, clutching his neck like he was suffocating.

"What's wrong with Rizal?" I asked without taking my eyes off the young man in front of us.

"I don't know," said Roni.

"Maybe he got poisoned, huh?" asked Tian in response.

The music was turned off, and the sound of bones cracking could be heard coming from Rizal's body, the skin on his face turning pale with veins clearly visible beneath his skin. His black color contrasted sharply with his fair skin.

But it didn't stop there, because now some of our other friends were experiencing the same thing. One by one they were acting strangely. Tian pulled Mey away, while Satria also pulled me back.

The room looked chaotic. Some chose to avoid, others, trying to help. But things turned even crazier when one of them acted horribly.

Danur, silent, his face pale with veins clearly visible on his face. His color was black and now his body seemed to be shrinking. He stared at each one of us. It was just that his eyeballs were now white as if they were covered by a thick membrane on the lens. Suddenly he attacked, and started biting one of the closest people. Everyone panicked. Run and get out of the room.

Satria pulled me and we left the place. The reunion turned into chaos. Screams and cries could be heard along the corridor.

"Crazy! What's wrong with them?" screamed Nick with a terrified face. Actually, it wasn't just Nick, because me and the others were experiencing the same thing.

"It wasn't a trance, was it?" asked Mey asking for opinions.

"No!" I exclaimed.

Our discussion was interrupted when one of the friends who had been acting strangely came out from behind the door. He again attacked the person closest to him, as Clara screamed. Anton bit, tearing blindly at Clara who couldn't stop screaming.

"Run!" said Satria.

We spontaneously left and found the elevator at the end of the corridor crowded. Everyone flocked to get off. As a result, Satria opened one of the hotel rooms not far from the elevator. "Come here!" he ordered.

We then obeyed and entered the hotel room. Tian was the last to enter, then closed the door and locked it from the inside. The noise of our friends outside terrified those of us in the room.

The sound of a neck full of blood, imagined in my mind, when the sound was loud and very close. I was sure there was something horrible happening at the door of this room.

Oh my! What the hell is going on?!

We tried to calm ourselves down. Mey and I sat on the big bed in the center of the room. Tian was still standing guard behind the door, so that no one else could enter.

Satria walked to the window with Nick and Roni. They pulled back the curtains and frowned as they looked down.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

Roni shook her head slowly, she covered her mouth for a moment with her left hand which also closed the curtains. Roni walked back and forth with a confused look. "Crazy! We're going to die!" he said in frustration.

Chapter 2 Horrific incident

Curious, I stood up and walked to the window, but Satria held me back and invited me to sit down again. "What's going on, Sat?" I asked for an explanation. It seemed that what was happening there looked serious, and I became curious about it.

"Don't look!" he warned seriously.

"Why, I want to see!" I insisted and broke free from his hold. When I reached the window, I closed my mouth.

The situation outside was very chaotic. Even more chaotic than the room earlier. Cars were crashing into each other, people were attacking each other, blood was everywhere. Everyone was panicking, screaming, and running to who knows where.

Mey came closer, crying as she saw the chaotic state of the streets.

"This is crazy! What the hell is going on?" Nick asked. Even though I knew, he understood that we didn't know the answer either.

"Hm, don't tell me the zombie movies I used to watch happened in real l
