"Mrs. Cooper, is it true that your son, the well-known famous bachelor billionaire Julian Cooper, is not only in a coma but has also recently married?” One reporter asks Stella Cooper, the mother of the billionaire who is presently fighting for his life in the ICU after a major kidney transplant surgery a week ago. When she hears the reporter’s question, the billionaire’s mother responds.  “My son, Julian Cooper, the CEO and founder of the Cooper empires, has indeed been admitted to the hospital. However, the rumors that he is married are false; my son is still a bachelor. If he marries, the media will be the first to know.” She responds confidently, as if she isn’t lying to the entire world, not only about her son not being in a coma but also about the fact that he didn’t recently get married. When Mrs. Earwood discovered she had a brain tumor and only had 2 years to live she chose to sacrifice herself to save the famous billionaire Julian Cooper's life by giving him her kidney in exchange for him marrying and caring for her daughter Isabella. The billionaire accepted and signed a contract with her, but what happens if the famed Cooper family does not keep their end of the bargain once Isabella's mother dies? What then happens to Isabella in the Cooper family?

Chapter 1

Isabella Earwood, the newlywed wife of the famous billionaire Julian Cooper, stands on a hospital ward with a broken heart as she watches her mother- and sister-in-law, Julia and Stella Cooper, lie in front of the entire world while briefing the media about her husband’s condition on television.

“Mrs.

Isabella on the other side, sighs at her mother-in-law’s ridiculous lies as she keeps her gaze fixed on the television and watches the news conference, from which she was, as usual, excluded on.

“Mrs. Cooper, are you saying that the rumors about him marrying are just that?” Another reporter inquires.

Mrs. Stella Cooper looks at him and lies with a straight face once more. “That is all bogus news.” She responds.

“And who donated the kidney for him?” Once again, ask another reporter.

Before her mother-in-law could speak, Isabella angrily turned off the television and tossed the remote into one of the Cooper hospital couches.

Stella had already disrespected the memory of Isabella’s mother by lying to the entire world and acting as if Isabella didn’t exist; poor Isabella couldn’t take any more of her disrespect. And so, with a soft sigh of anger, Isabella sits on one of the hospital couches alongside her newly wedded husband. She closes her eyes and lets her mind wander back to the day she wishes never happened. The day during which her sorrow began.

It was 12:45pm. Exactly 15 minutes before Mrs. Earwood’s last surgery of sacrificing herself to save the famous billionaire Julian Cooper’s life, in an exchange for him marrying her daughter Isabella Earwood; When she and Isabella had their last conversation, which still cannot leave Isabella’s mind.

Isabella can still recall her mother lying frail by the Hospital bed, staring at her with sorrowful eyes as Isabella wept uncontrollably.

Mrs. Earwood, despite her own frailty and impending death, attempted to console her daughter Isabella

“Oh, my sweet beautiful Bella, don’t be sad; everything will be okay, I promise.” Her voice was wobbly as she attempted to communicate with her daughter Isabella, who could only hear but not speak.

Isabella looked at her with weighted eyes, revealing that she was struggling to cope with her mother’s situation.

Isabella remembers looking at her mother and wishing she could help her but unfortunately couldn’t as her mother learned a month ago that she had brain tumor and only had 2 years to live.

Instead of living the remaining years, Isabella’s mother sacrificed herself to rescue the famous billionaire who urgently needed a kidney in exchange for him to marry her daughter, so that Isabella would not suffer and would continue to have a good life even after she died.

Isabella objected, saying she simply wanted to spend the remaining years her mother had with her and didn’t care what happened after that, but her mother wouldn’t listen; all she wanted was for Isabella to be okay even when she was gone and so Isabella had no option but to accept her mother’s decision.

Even though marriage was the last thing on Isabella’s mind because she is still a 17-year-old college student, however she thought marrying the famous billionaire would be better than battling to survive alone.

She also believed it would also lead to her mother finding peace, therefore she had to accept it. But on that day,she wouldn’t give up trying to persuade her mother to change her mind.

“No, mother, you have chosen to die.” Isabella responded with her hands as she struggled to resist the tears that were welling up in her eyes as she sat staring at her frail mother.

Although Isabella understood her mother’s reasons for sacrificing herself, she found it difficult to accept it. Her mother was the only person who actually loved and accepted her as she is. Even though Isabella is different, her mother had shown her nothing but love since childhood, and Isabella loved her mother with all her heart; there was no way she could accept it, and her mother knew it.

Her eyes were still welling up, and her face was smudged from all the tears that seemed to keep flowing.

Her mother’s heart sank when she saw Isabella in that situation. Mrs. Earwood, like her daughter Isabella, wished there was something she could do to change the predicament they were both in, but there was nothing she could do but attempt to persuade Isabella that this was going to be good for her.

So she kept her gaze fixed on her and moved her shaky hands to her daughter and embraced her, peering deeply into her messed up eyes.

“I know, but you will have a good life. That is what matters.” She whispered again, slowly and softly.

Mrs. Earwood believed her sacrifice would give her daughter a better life, but unfortunately she was wrong. Instead of the coopers appreciating Isabella for her mother’s sacrifice to save their son, the billionaire, they’ve been ridiculing and mocking her for her condition and also her poor status.

Isabella’s life has been nothing but chaos since the surgery that took her mother’s life.

“I am so sorry you have to go through this because of me.”

Isabella recalls feeling guilty that her mother had to sacrifice herself to give her a better life. She thinks if only she knew it would actually turn out to be worse than that.

In that moment, Isabella felt responsible but her mother didn’t see it that way and didn’t want her to feel that way and so she continually consoled her.

“It’s not your fault Isabella, as your mother, it’s my responsibility to take care of you and I’m doing exactly that. “ she said, trying to make Isabella feel better.

“I love you, mother.” Signed Isabella before leaning in to hug her mother.

“I love you too, my angel. Don’t you ever forget that. “

Isabella recalls giving her mother a sad final smile as she saw the nurses walk into the hospital ward, ready to wheel her to the surgery room.

“Are you here to see your guardian, Miss Earwood?”

Isabella is now drawn back to the present by a young woman’s voice reminding her she’s still in hospital, visiting her newly wedded husband, Julian Cooper, whom no one except for the Cooper family knows is her husband, as according to her mother-in-law, Isabella is not good enough for her son and the world can’t know she married him since she's mute and poor.

Upon hearing the nurse, Isabella turns her eyes towards her with a sad smile. She looks at her answering her question with a nod since she cannot speak.

When around people who don’t know how to communicate with mute people, Isabella is forced to abandon sign language and either nod or write down whatever she wants to say to be able to communicate with them, which is sometimes hard.

But in this hospital, She was lucky to have her husband assigned a friendly nurse who understands Isabella and her condition, even though the nurse has no idea Isabella is Julian's wife, she is so fond of her.

Isabella looks at her handsome husband laying helplessly by the hospital bed for a moment.

She believes that the longer Julian remains in a coma, the longer she will have to live with her cruel sister and mother-in-law, which she simply cannot do. She wishes he will wake up so that her mother's desire may well be granted and she could have a better life. and so

She removes her iPhone from her pocket, writes down the query she has, and shows it to the nurse.

The nurse turn her eyes to the screen of Isabella's cell phone and reads the question;

"Do you think he will awaken soon?"

She then turns to face Isabella, her eyes fluttering, unsure how to respond.

Chapter 2

The nurse's response was not what Isabella had hoped for; in fact, it was far worse. She informed Isabella that her billionaire husband might not wake up for weeks or months.

Which thus broke Isabella's heart. She left the Coopers' luxury hospital early and has been sitting outside a park watching children play.

Because no one knows who Isabella is, it's much simpler for her to socialize with regular people without the media bothering her like the rest of the famous filthy rich Cooper family, and she's enjoying it so far.

Isabella is quiet and reserved. She prefers her own space, so being hidden as the famous Julian's wife is disrespectful to her late mother, who sacrificed her remaining months for Julian's life. However, It is also beneficial for Isabella to remain normal and not be followed by paparazzi, which she appreciates.

Isabella is currently lost in her thoughts, recalling times when her mother was still living and
