Naira POV

“What did you just say?! Are you kidding me?” I looked at my Pack Alpha, who unfortunately happened to be my father, with intense hatred. My voice was extremely loud because of my overwhelming anger.

He sat calmly at the dining table and laughed mockingly. He loved torturing anyone in front of him with his words or actions because he was officially insane and out of his mind. “At first, this doesn't concern you. I've made my decision, and you will do as I say whether you like it or not.”

I was standing at the doorway, then I walked toward him until I stood directly in front of him, with only one dining chair separating us.

I stared at him with defiance and hatred. “It does concern me.” My voice was calm at first, then it rose as I continued. “I can do whatever I want with my life! You're the one it doesn't concern. Stop interfering in my life, d*mn it! Do you really want to sell me so easily?”

He completely ignored my words and flashed that damned smile I hated so much, the one that always foretold a huge disaster. We had grown used to the fact that hell always followed that smile. “You haven't asked me yet who I'm selling you to, sweetheart.” He threw a stack of papers onto the floor as he finished speaking and added indifferently, “It's your sale contract.”

D*mn his coldness. The b*st*rd wanted to sell his own daughter so casually. He had to be a lunatic who enjoyed destroying everyone's life. “No...”

He cut me off before I could speak. “Draven Nightshadow.”

The blood froze in my veins, and I felt the room spinning around me! If he meant the Nightshadow that came to my mind at this moment, then I was as good as dead.

I leaned against the chair with great difficulty. I couldn't get a single word out, and the words got stuck in my throat.

“Why are you mentioning the devil this early in the morning?” Seraphina, my sister, barged into the room while yawning and threw herself onto a couch opposite the dining table.

Okay, that meant I hadn't heard wrong. This had to be the worst joke ever. It couldn't possibly be true.

My father said angrily while slamming his hand on the table, “Seraphina, I told you to knock before entering any room. Leave now. I need Naira for something important.”

Something important indeed! You're selling me to a monster, you b*st*rd.

Seraphina ignored him completely. She was the only one capable of making him lose his temper and get angry. “Is someone still making your life difficult? I mean Alpha Nightshadow. I never thought there was a person who could make you wish for death and tremble whenever his name was mentioned, but I was wrong.”

I asked in surprise, “What? Is there a conflict between my father and Nightshadow? Why am I only hearing about this now, d*mn it?”

My father clenched his fist irritably and, after drawing that sinister smile on his face once more, said, “You should thank your sister, Naira. She solved everything for us.”

I clenched my fists angrily and looked at Seraphina. “Our dear father, who loves us so much, sold me. He was showing me the contract before you came in. And if you're wondering why we mentioned the devil's name, he's simply the buyer who purchased me. I've been sold to Alpha Nightshadow by a psychopath.” I stared into his eyes challengingly. “A psychopath?”

Seraphina stood up in shock, her eyes wide. “What?! How...?”

“Say whatever you want, sweetheart. You've been sold and solved the Pack's problem thanks to yourself, so I'll pretend I didn't hear what you just called me.” He said while putting a fork into his mouth.

My brows suddenly relaxed, and that cold numbness that sometimes overtook me returned. “I won't go to Alpha Nightshadow. Find someone else and send them, or go there yourself.”

I had always suffered from this. Suddenly I would feel empty and cold toward everything. My anger, fear, and every other emotion would simply disappear.

He hated that I never bowed to him, never obeyed his orders, and never submitted to his words.

He suddenly stood and grabbed my arm forcefully. “You will do as I say and go to Alpha Nightshadow. After that, I don't care about anything else. If you want to run away from there, then run. He'll punish you or kill you. The important thing is that you leave here, just as agreed.”

I laughed mockingly and looked at him indifferently. “I've always wondered how you became an Alpha responsible for a Pack when you can't even protect and care for your own children. You're too weak to be an Alpha.”

I knew I was making him angry and that he might kill me, but now he couldn't because he had already sold me. This was my chance to say whatever I wanted.

He raised his hand angrily, but Kailan's voice suddenly echoed through the room. “What's going on here?!”

Kailan was our older brother and the future Alpha heir. “Are you okay, Naira?” he asked worriedly as his gaze shifted between me and our father.

“I don't think she's okay, Kailan. Our beloved father sold her to Alpha Nightshadow,” Seraphina answered for me.

“What the hell?! How? What do you mean by selling Naira to that devil?!” he asked in shock and anger while looking at our psychopath of a father.

My father shot him a furious glare and said, “When you speak to me, lower your voice. I am the Alpha, and I decide everything. Naira will go to Alpha Nightshadow. The contract has already been signed. There will be no argument or discussion about this matter.”

“How can we send Naira to that monster?” Kailan shouted angrily.

“She will go to him and do whatever he wants from her as well.” He sat down once more and answered coldly while finishing his meal.

This man wasn't normal at all. What exactly did he expect from his daughter?

I looked at him indifferently and said seriously, “Are you giving your daughter to a man who can do whatever he wants with her, and that doesn't matter to you at all as an Alpha or as a man? My torture, my destruction, even my r*p* by a monster feared by everyone means absolutely nothing to you? You're a b*st*rd. I hope you burn in hell, you and that Nightshadow. I won't go, and that's my final answer.”

My father's face turned red with anger, and the mask of coldness he wore vanished. He slammed the table violently. “If you don't go, he'll kill me and every member of the Pack! Including every person you love here. Not a single one of them will survive. That's why you won't object, and you'll go willingly! Do you understand?”

I stared at him in shock, feeling my blood boil with rage. “Really?! You're going to force me that way? I hope he kills you, you whorish Alpha. D*mn you and everyone like you!”

He stood up, and his hand was already on its way toward my right cheek, but Kailan grabbed his wrist before it could reach me and said angrily, “Don't do this. She's not going. I'm the heir, and I'm asking you to step down as Alpha to solve this problem. Once I take the Alpha position, I'll fix everything.”

His laughter echoed throughout the entire castle. “You'll be the first one killed if she doesn't go to him, heir.”

This man was sick. I shouted angrily, “What the hell is wrong with you exactly?”

“If you don't go, he'll kill every member of our Pack. He told me that with complete seriousness. He wants you at any cost, dear Naira...”

Naira POV

“What about our Mate?! We have to run away from here and find our Mate!” Ignis suddenly shouted inside my head.

Oh my God, how did I forget that? If I was sold away, I might never find my Mate. Would my dream of finding my Mate and living happily with him go to hell because of my father and Nightshadow?!

“Well, since you won't accept solving this matter peacefully, there is no other way.” Kailan bared his fangs and took an attacking stance before roaring with anger and power. “I challenge you for the Alpha position.”

I quickly stepped back as I saw my father do the same and prepare to attack. “Fine, you asked for this.” He smiled at Kailan coldly.

Before I could object or even speak, Kailan's body slammed violently into the wall while my father stood before him, slashing him with his claws using all his strength.
