Sinopse
After her soul was transported into a novel about abusive romance, Lucia became bound to Mistri, a petty yet doting minor deity. As they spent time together in daily life, their feelings gradually deepened into love. When she realized her soul's transfer had merely been a game for the god, she still chose to believe in genuine emotion. Without giving up, she worked hard to reverse her brother's inevitable fate and, as an ordinary mortal, earned the one-of-a-kind love of a god.
Chapter 1
Ados spotted his parents.
They emerged from the crowd, laden with bags and bundles, weaving through the throng. Ados hurried over, and amid the roars of pterosaurs and the clamor of voices, he had to shout, "Dad! Mom!"
"Didn't I tell you not to come?Your mom and I know the place!" his father Ram replied in an equally loud voice.
Ados didn't answer; instead, he grabbed the luggage from Ram's hands and trudged ahead with bowed head. Finally stepping out of the pterosaur platform's vicinity, the surroundings instantly fell silent.
"I'm off duty today," Ados replied with a hearty laugh, then looked down only to see a little blonde-haired girl standing right beside his mom.
Is this his sister?
Ados gazed gently at this tiny figure.
Her hair shone like the golden ears of wheat from his hometown; her big blue eyes were like the sky after rain; her delicate features were soft and beautiful, perfectly inheriting the best traits of both parents.
Even though this was his first meeting with his sister, a sense of kinship bonding through blood stirred within Ados: "Hello, Lucia, I'm Ados, your big brother."
"Brother," Lucia replied with a sweet smile.
His sister was truly an angel!
Ados was absolutely charmed by Lucia, and couldn't help but ruffle her fluffy little head, already itching to rush to the store and buy her a pile of things right then and there.
Just then, the strange ability he had recently acquired activated.
Ever since he got his hands on a peculiar eye-shaped trinket while cracking down on an antique smuggling case, Ados had gained the power to see the attributes of others.
The condition for activating this ability was to focus intently on observing someone.
Ados was still far from proficient with this ability, and it sometimes triggered even when he didn’t need it—like now.
Just like that, the attribute panel of his little sister appeared before Ados’s eyes.
Lucia Farrell
Race: Human
Class: 3rd-level Commoner
HP: 50
Alignment: Neutral Good
Basic Attributes: Strength 4; Agility 6; Constitution 5; Intelligence 14; Perception 13; Charisma 16
Skills & Expertise: Affinity lv.5, Climbing lv.2, Invocation lv.5, Divine Favor lv.10…
These were the stats of an ordinary little girl, with high intelligence, perception, and charisma—suitable for becoming a mage or a priest…Wait, Divine Favor lv.10?
Ados’s eyes nearly popped out of his head as he refocused on Lucia's skills; and the moment his concentration sharpened, more detailed information unfolded before him.
Divine Favor lv.10: For the god who favors her, even if the entire world prays together, hers is the first voice to be heard; even if the entire world falls into despair, hers is the first life to be redeemed. Under the god's protection, she always wins first in lotteries, she is always the one who survives when facing life-or-death odds at fifty-fifty, and even when eating eggs, she's the only one who gets a double yolk.
Stop staring. A maxed-out Divine Favor is a skill you’ll never acquire in your lifetime.
Ados stared at his sister in shock, as if he were looking at an utter monster.
You see, even a church's pope only attains a Divine Favor level of six to seven, and the vast majority of saints and saintesses who receive greater grace only reach level eight at best.
This was the first time Ados had ever seen a max-level Divine Favor, and this ability belonged to none other than his own sister.
What on earth had happened back in their hometown?
He didn't know that while he was astonished by his sister's maxed-out Divine Favor, she was sizing him up as well.
Eight years after transmigrating, it was only now that Lucia realized she had been transported into a novel.
The protagonist of that novel was her own brother.
This is a male-led novel, but unlike typical male-centric stories, it's a rather peculiar one named《Can the Guys with the Yandere Constitution Lead a Normal Life?》.
As the title suggests, as the male protagonist of this novel, Ados, although blessed with luck in love like a main character, his luck is different—it always brings him trouble.
Although a long time has passed, and Lucia only gave this novel a quick skim, she still remembers some details.
The story revolves around the male protagonist, Ados, who, after passing many trials, becomes a patrol officer in Selancha. He then brings his family members from his hometown over, allowing the four of them to start a new life in Selancha.
—All of this is nothing but Ados's beautiful imagination.
In truth, their idyllic life lasts only a few months.
Ados's little sister, meaning Lucia herself, is abducted by followers of an evil deity and raised as their high priestess.
The so-called "holy maiden" of the evil god is essentially just a vessel for that deity’s incarnation.
None who become such maidens lack excellent magical talent or extraordinary charm—if their charm were insufficient, the evil god would not even choose them to serve as its vessel of birth.
In other words, Lucia could have originally become a powerful mage or priestess, but fate had her come to Selancha, where she caught the eye of the followers of the dark god.
Ados, in a desperate bid to save his sister, relentlessly pursued the trail of the dark god, hoping to reunite the family, only to have his parents murdered by a devotee of the dark god disguised as an ordinary civilian.
From that point on, what had been a cheerful plot early on unraveled beyond repair. Ados transformed into an avenger from the shadows, hating the dark god, and even more so hating himself for bringing his family to Selancha in the first place.
The darkened Ados abandoned his beloved patrol officer job and embarked on a frantic hunt for both the evil god and his followers.
With his dark mode activated, Ados no longer found his yandere complex a burden; now, the women flocking to him showered him with money and gear, a stark contrast to the yandere that had once caused him such trouble.
Yet he himself would have preferred to return to those troubled days.
After enduring countless hardships, Ados finally discovered the headquarters of the evil god. He slashed his way through to where his sister was standing after so many years, only to find that she had been brainwashed by the followers of the evil god. He slithered deeper into the snake's nest.
She firmly believed that the meaning of her birth was to conceive the evil god, and instead urged her brother to join the evil god's camp as well, because she had already received the evil god's gift and was about to give birth to its incarnation.
Having lost his parents and endured hardships, finally finding his own sister, in the end, Ados was forced to slay his biological sister who had already conceived the evil god, all to save the world.
…Isn’t this protagonist just way too tragic!
Although Lucia had long known that the protagonist of light novels would not have an easy life, this one was far too different from her own.
Initially, Lucia never connected the world she had transmigrated into with this book, after all, it was just a novel she had casually flipped through before her journey through time.
Only when she heard that she had an older brother in Selancha, a bustling Gulf trading city, and that this brother was a patrol officer, did Lucia start to find the situation somewhat familiar.
Through a train of thought along the way, catching a glimpse of her blood brother's stunning blond hair and the teardrop mole at the corner of his eye, she finally linked this world with that book.
Who would have thought she had actually transmigrated into this very novel!
Unfortunately, since this book was not a power-fantasy, and the protagonist in the early stages was also a kind-hearted good Samaritan, Lucia simply couldn't be bothered to read it in detail. Instead, she skimmed through the parts about the protagonist's descent into darkness.
Right now, Lucia's feelings boiled down to pure regret—immense, overwhelming regret!
If only she had known she would transmigrate into this book, she would have eagerly memorized every single word of it, reciting it devoutly every single day.
Yet, hindsight is worth a fortune, but can't be bought for gold.
Lucia tilted her head upward, staring at Ados, feeling that every inch of this person seemed to be screaming *tragedy*.
"What's wrong?" Ados was still pondering what his little sister had experienced to be granted a Level 10 Divine Favor, when he looked down and found Lucia staring at him. "Are you tired? We'll be home soon."
With that, he bent down and lifted Lucia up, settling her into the crook of his arm.
"Ah." Lucia grabbed hold of Ados's clothes and glanced at the large bundle he carried on his back, asking considerately, "Does this get tiring for you, Brother?"
"It's fine. You're very light," Ados said with a smile at his sister.
No matter what skills she had, this was still his little sister after all.
After spending two silver coins on a carriage, he returned to his residence on Owl Street.
This was a picturesque little villa, its white walls and blue roof harmonizing perfectly with the surrounding architecture. Through the fence, a glimpse of the garden's flower beds could be caught.
Regrettably, the flower beds lay barren, with nothing but a scattering of untidy weeds poking through.
“A house this big…it must cost a fortune in rent.”Old man Ram couldn’t help rubbing his hands nervously.
“Not really—I happened to do a favor for the owner, and she let me have it at a low price,”Ados explained, unlocking the gate to the picket fence and leading his family inside.
“Such a shame this yard goes to waste,”his mother Anna couldn’t resist jabbering.“We could plant some vegetables here.”
“Right, I’ll take you to the market soon so you can pick some up,”Ados replied with even-tempered kindness.
As they stepped into the house, the stark presence of a true bachelor put-upon worker invaded every sense. The entire place lay empty, featuring naught but a few shelves and a wooden table.
“This hollow void is no home—no place for anyone to live,”Anna grumbled, but then busily set to unpacking the luggage.
Before long, thanks to Anna’s capable hands, what had been a barren emptiness now brimmed with life.
The otherwise naked table was adorned with a colorful cloth, and upon the stripped shelves came staple supplies like rice, oil, salt, and seasoning.
At long last, the silent, deserted room was filled with the warmth of human presence.
Ram found the cracked floorboard, fetched tools from the luggage, and set about repairing the worn-out edges and corners.
“Ados, change this basin of water!”
“Got it!”
“Ados, find a brick!”
“I’m on it!”
Only little Lucia sat there, holding the candy Ados had given her, perched by the tidy table, watching her brother—the protagonist of this novel.
Though he was busy, a bright, beaming smile lit up his face, no different from any cheerful, optimistic young man.
Studying Ados’s expression, Lucia couldn’t help but recall his solitary ending in the story, and couldn’t resist a surge of pity.
Whether for this humble big brother or for her own survival, she had to change the final outcome!
Chapter 2
After a peaceful night’s sleep in her own room, Lucia woke up brimming with spirits.
After breakfast, Anna announced she would head to the nearby temple of the Goddess Yemendro to pray.
"The nearest temple is three streets away. After breakfast, I’ll take you there," Ados explained. "Most of the locals here are merchants, so the closest temple is Kurata’s."
"Alright," Anna said, then glanced at Lucia, who was doing her best to fade into the background. "Lucia, you’re coming to the temple with me."
"Spare me," Lucia groaned, flopping miserably onto the table. "I don’t want to go."
"No way, are you trying to go out and play again?" Anna said sternly. "We only arrived here on the first day, so don’t go running around everywhere."
"I wouldn’t!" Lucia felt terribly wronged. "I’m such a good girl!"
She wasn’t stupid—after knowing her own future, she certainly wouldn’t gallivant around and risk catching the attention
