How is it possible that I have survived this long? I have been abused by my pack since I was 10 years old. Yes, you caught that, my pack. I am a werewolf. Yes, I know, you think werewolves aren't real, but I am here to tell you that we are. We have been around for hundreds of thousands of years. We used to be out in the open, however as time passed, humans began to be afraid of us, along with all the other supernatural beings, so we all went into hiding. The supernatural's agreed to create a council that consists of two members from each supernatural species. The council is who determines the laws and punishments for those who break the laws. They are also in charge of the supernatural database. This database tracks all the supernatural's that are throughout the world.

I was found by my pack when I was a few hours old. I was left by the border of the Blood Moon Pack. No one knew where I came from or who my parents were. I was found by the Luna of the Blood Moon Pack, Luna Sage. Luna Sage told me that she had been walking in the woods when she heard my slight whimper. She walked further into the forest and there I was lying next to a fallen log wrapped in a couple of blankets and nothing more. Luna Sage even gave me my name....Isabella.

Luna Sage brought me immediately to the pack hospital. Luna's husband, the Alpha of the pack, Alpha Conrad, met her at the pack hospital. When the Alpha walked into the hospital, he looked at Luna Sage and was astounded by the love he saw in his Luna's eyes for this abandoned child. As Alpha Conrad approached Luna Sage holding the abandoned baby, he looked down at the child and instantly fell in love with the child as well. Alpha Conrad felt a strange pull to protect this child til his last breath and he didn't know why. “Conrad, we must keep this child, she was left alone in the forest, I can't bare to send her to the orphanage.” “Sage, we don't know who she belongs to, we need to follow the proper protocol and contact the council to see if anyone has reported their child taken.” As they are discussing what to do with the child, Dr. Monroe walks in just then to exam her. “Luna, the child seems to only be about 3 hours old. I am concerned for the child's mother also, as she may be lost in the woods and there is no one to help her.” Alpha Conrad was already linking the warriors' closet to the west border to search the woods for any leads on the baby's mother or other family members.

“Luna, the baby seems to be perfectly healthy. Do you want to take her home with you or would you prefer for her to stay at the hospital?” Dr. Monroe, the Luna and I will take the child to our home until we get some type of answer about her family. Luna Sage looked at Alpha Conrad with concern. She kept thinking about how she was already getting attached to this child, what would happen if her family was located and they took her away. Luna Sage could only think back to the car accident that she had a year ago, where she had lost her own child and her ability to have any children in the future. She had been devastated and had told Conrad that he could reject her for someone who would be able to give him an heir. Conrad had been furious at Sage for even suggesting such a thing. Sage was his true mate and he could not imagine his life without her.

They had discussed adopting children in need of a good home, even though none of these children would ever be able to inherit the Alpha title. Conrad's brother David, who was Conrad's Beta, had a son, Markus, who would be eligible to be the next Alpha. Markus was 8 years old and David's first born son. David and his mate, Beta female Sarabella, had four children; Markus 8, Devin 7, Arabella 6, Vivian 4 and Sarabella was currently pregnant and expecting to deliver any time. All of David and Sarabella's children were of the Alpha bloodline. Therefore, any of his children could inherit the title. David and Sarabella had been married for 9 years, they met at one of the pack's annual Lunar Balls. Sarabella was the daughter of Alpha Alvin Smith of the Night Moon Pack. Alpha Alvin had been ecstatic about the match. He had hoped his daughter Susan would be a mate to Conrad, but that had not happened.

The pack warriors had searched through the night for any sign of the baby's mother or family in the woods, however nothing was located. There was no scent of the baby's mother, or of anyone else in the forest where the baby had been located, including that of the baby. The trackers were at a loss. If it were not for the baby being found by the Luna, no one would have ever known she was in the forest.

It was as if the baby had just magically appeared.

The Alpha walked out of his office and asked an omega who was walking down the hall, if she knew where the Luna was located. The omega told the Alpha she had seen the Luna heading to their floor with a baby in her arms. Alpha Conrad walked up to the 4th floor of the pack house which was dedicated to the Alpha and his family. The Beta and Gamma shared the 3rd floor of the pack house, while all single warriors were housed on the 2nd floor. The first floor contacted the normal pack house living space, such as the kitchen, living room, and pack offices. The basement contained the game room, theater and a small workout room.
