"Please don't leave me, Eve... I'll die without you. This life... This werewolf's world... Everything feels miserable if you're not with me. Please don't leave me." Samuel begged in front of me, joining his both hands. A tear rolled from my eyes seeing him on his knees.

"Remember five years ago, I didn't say a word but begged you through my eyes to say please don't leave and what you did? You not only rejected me but asked your beta to throw me out of the pack. Not to forget, your so-called Luna Jessica with whom you cheated on me told Jace to drop me at the pack border only, not even near the human world despite knowing my wolf is weak and if anyone attacked me then I wouldn't be able to survive" I said in a broken voice, wiping my tears which were falling without my permission.

Samuel raised his head and looked at me with a painful expression. I can feel though mate bond how much pain he is in and it's breaking my heart but I can't forget what he did to me.

"That day when I was leaving the pack, I made a promise to myself that if we met again then I would take my revenge.. see I finally did it. I took my revenge." I said with a big fake smile on my face.

"Then why are you not happy, Eve?" My smile faded with his question. He stood up and held my wrist to pull me closer.

"You said making me fall in love with you was your plan to take revenge on me. You wanted to give me pain and you did. I got the punishment but why are you leaving me?" He wiped my tears.

"Please don't leave me," he pleads.

"I can't forget what you did to me, Samuel. You killed my soul when I caught you with Jessica." I said and pushed him away.

"This is your punishment for cheating on me. You have to live this miserable life without me and dare you to come behind me because if you do then I will kill myself to punish you worse," I said in a threatening tone. He knows I'm not someone who would do the stupidity of harming ourselves but I said whatever came into my mind to stop him.

"You know how much I love you and I will never do something which doesn't hold your will. You don't want me to come near you. Fine, I won't come. I will live this miserable life without you." My heart broke when I felt the pain in his voice while saying the last words. Tears were following from our eyes, knowing this was the last time we were seeing each other.

"Eve" he again held my hand and pulled me closer before attacking my lips. I didn't push him away, letting him quench his thirst or maybe I was trying to calm my aching soul by feeling him close to me for the last time.

After a long kiss, he parted away from me as I went out of breath. I raised my head and looked into his tear-filled eyes. He shook his head negatively.

"Please don't go," He begged.

"You should have thought about us before betraying me," I said and took my steps away, slowly walking towards the door. I closed my eyes after capturing his image in my heart then turned to start a life without him.

I went towards the road and sat in the cab which I booked long before. My eyes went to the car's rear view mirror. Don't know why my heart was expecting him to come behind me despite it being me who asked him not to come. I closed my eyes and a tear rolled from my eyes.

"This is what you wanted Evelyn... Right? You wanted to give him punishment... You did but I'm not getting why are you crying?" Sara, my wolf mocked me. I didn't reply and opened my eyes to look in the rare view window and this time I found Samuel standing at a little distance, looking at me through the window. I was about to open the door and hopped out of the car. That's when the driver started the car.

"Now, you don't want to take revenge on him for cheating on us." Sara snarled. I stopped and closed my eyes, remembering how he cheated on me.

"Stupid" Sara grunted at me. I sighed and closed the mindlink that connects me with her, knowing she won't let me stay at peace and at this point I want nothing but silence to calm myself.

Sara wanted to stay with our mate despite what he did to us. She even broke the link that connected me with her five years back when I rejected Samuel for cheating on me.

"Everything was going good then why did you come back to my life, Samuel? One month ago, You offered me to become your s*x slave when you knew I needed money. You use my misery to your enjoyment and I made you feel you're winning. In the past month of our s*x slave contract, there was only one thought in my mind. I wanted to take my revenge. I wanted to make you fall in love with me again so that I could ditch you at the end of the month to give you the same pain that you gave me years ago. My plan worked... I did what I wanted and took my revenge. I break your heart then why I'm not happy? Why?" I thought, looking outside the window while shedding tears. Don't know how I'm going to survive without him. I wanted to ruin him but I destroyed myself in his love.

After shedding tears for more than an hour, I finally calmed down and took a deep breath.

"It's okay, Evelyn... You can do it. Remember how you stood up five years back when he left you? You can do it again and don't forget your five-year-old daughter is waiting for you." I mumbled to myself, trying to get a hold of my life. The thought of Kathie was enough to bring a smile to my face.

"My princess Kathie... She is the only reason why I'm living this life." I thought and took a deep breath deciding to leave this country and start a new journey with my daughter away from my mate, Samuel.

Samuel returned to his pack after I refused to go back with him. He was still unaware of the truth that Kathie, whom I introduced as my best friend's daughter, is his daughter.

I wish I could tell him 'Kathie is our daughter' but I know it will only ruin everything between us.

I left the country and started living a new life with a new name and job with my daughter and Sophia willingly came with me. She wanted to leave our old place as it was reminding her of Jace who rejected her and broke all contact instead of  apologising to make up for his mistake. He returned to his pack with Samuel and worked his duty as a pack's beta.

Sophia and I are unlucky in love or maybe love is ruthless and brutal which only breaks people.
