To the world, Travis is a "hot-shot" CEO with a reputation as sharp and dangerous as the scent of dark oak wood that follows him. But behind the glass walls of his 24th-floor empire, he is a man driven by a primal, medical necessity: he needs a Luna, and he needs her blood. He has watched Austria from afar, tracking her every move through a screen, waiting for the moment her desperation would finally outweigh her pride. For Austria, taking the job as Travis’s secretary isn’t a career move, it’s a survival tactic. Drowning in her grandmother’s medical debts and hunted by the shadows of her family’s past, she enters the lion’s den unaware that her new boss has already hand-picked her to be his solution. He’s a "prison-worthy" enigma; she’s a "gorgeous vixen" with a pedigree she’s trying to forget. As the four-month deadline for Travis to find a wife looms, the professional facade begins to bleed into a dark, predatory obsession. In a world where corporate loyalty is bought with black cards and secrets are buried in the office restrooms, Austria must decide: is Travis the monster the rumors claim, or is he the only one capable of protecting her from the debt collectors at her door?
Chapter 1 You are a Luna
“Hannah! The shirt is too tight!” Austria shouts as she buttons the blue shirt, which was sewn by an old woman across from the palace.
“Your breasts are heavy, Austria. Don't you think you’ve gotten a little bit thick from eating all those pastries?” Hannah says, sliding through the door holding a pink gown against her chest.
Austria watches her movement in the mirror, staying silent. Outside, the winter air chills the softly painted room. Suddenly, one of her buttons pops off, revealing her soft belly and breaking the silence. Hannah’s eyes go wide before they both burst into laughter.
“Austria, you are a Luna. You should look after your physique,” Hannah says, handing the pink flared gown to her.
Austria shakes her head in denial. “If I get slim, I’ll lose all those pretty followers I gained from blogging these past three months.” Her long hair is pinned up with a dragon-shaped clip as she applies mascara to her small eyes. Her plum lips are painted with maroon lipstick, and her nails are shaped into elegant curves.
A knock sounds at the door. “Darling, are you ready?” Austria’s mother asks, leaning against the locked door to listen for the giggles inside. Malika—who is half Spanish and half Australian—smiles as she hears her daughter laughing with her maid, Hannah. She holds a chocolate basket in her hand.
Malika knocks again, a bit louder this time, to let the ladies know someone is waiting. Austria and Hannah fall silent, both looking toward the heavy, dark wooden door. Hannah smiles at Austria and walks toward the door with long strides. Austria’s eyes dart to the bed and the messiness of the room; posters of drama idols and influencers are strewn about, usually hidden in drawers behind the large mirror.
She moves quickly to tidy the room as Hannah asks, “May I know who is knocking?”
“Ladies, enough of the giggling. I’d like to step in to drop off this heavy chocolate basket that came from Iran for darling Austria,” Malika says. Hannah looks back at Austria, who has just set a personal record for the fastest room-cleaning in history.
Austria nods, and Hannah unlocks the door to reveal Malika, dressed in pure elegance and looking much younger than her age. Malika smiles as she steps inside, finding Austria in the pink gown, which fits her hourglass figure perfectly. Malika’s eyes glitter with joy as she sets the basket on a small round table and walks over to her daughter.
“You look stunning, darling. I love this gown on you. You are such a cute girl, my dear.”
Austria smiles and hugs her mother. “You look more beautiful, Mother. But tell me, when are you leaving me behind to go to Venice with Papa?” Austria pouts, eyeing the necklace Malika is wearing—a gift from Austria herself.
“Dear, you know it is for no other reason than your father's business. I am simply accompanying him on this trip,” Malika says, stroking Austria’s back with a smile.
Hannah quietly slips out of the room to give them privacy. Austria nods at her mother's words, kissing her cheek. “It will be good. It will be the start of something new this year, Mother. Papa will be happy again after this trip.”
Malika reaches into the small pocket of her gown, quickly unwraps a chocolate, and pops it into Austria’s mouth. Austria bites into it, tasting the rich caramel. “It’s delicious, Mother! Where did you find it?”
“Your father gave it to me. I had a bit of a sweet tooth after breakfast.”
Austria teases her, “Papa always gives you sweets, but none for me!”
Malika laughs, handing a key to Austria. “Keep good care of this.”
Austria reassures her mother and hugs her tightly one last time before Malika surveys the room and departs. Suddenly, Austria’s phone lights up with notifications from a recent picture she posted on G-Live, a platform for girls and men around the world.
She holds the phone up, reading comments from various followers: “Go girl!” “Those eyes are red this time… why?” “She looks so beautiful in her black outfit.” As she scrolls, her eyes land on one particular comment: “Who is she?”
She taps on the profile of the commenter. As she zooms in on the picture, a handsome man in the background catches her breath. Just then, her phone rings. The caller ID reads: “JONATHAN - Husband-to-be.”
She blinks and sighs before picking up. A hoarse voice comes through: “Hi, Princess. Are you ready to go yet?”
Austria inhales deeply, forcing a smile. “Yes! I am hella excited to go look at my new mansion.” She hums, grabbing her silver clutch and revealing the ruby ring on her right hand.
Austria gives the room one last look and shuts the door with a sigh. She runs a hand over the gown from her waist to her hips before heading down the stairs. Hannah waits for her at the door with a small smile, knowing deep down how much Austria hates the idea of going out with Jonathan to see a mansion built for a marriage that doesn't fit her nature.
(SHORT INTRO FOR FEMALE LEAD)
Austria is living a double life. Externally, she is the dutiful daughter and the "Luna" preparing for a grand marriage to Jonathan, however, fate has other plans and you will soon find it. (SHORT INTRO FOR MALE LEAD)
Thirty-five-year-old Alpha Travis Norris is the quintessential "golden boy" of his family—brilliant, sharp-witted, and physically imposing with a dark, muscular build and striking diamond-like eyes. Despite his hoarse, commanding voice and refined exterior, he is a man of contradictions, possessing both a legendary tolerance for alcohol and a reckless gambling addiction. Still mourning the loss of his late wife, he now finds himself pressured to marry again.
Chapter 2 The last hug.
Jonathan waits as he speaks to someone on the call. Hannah eyes Jonathan and shrugs her shoulders as she takes the clutch from Austria's hand.
“Are you done?” Austria says, in an annoying tone as she walks towards the brown Mustang.
Jonathan stops his little walking and looks up towards Austria and mumbles “shut up!” And disconnects the phone. His blonde long hair falls off to his eyes as he tucks it back to his ear with five of his fingers revealing the muscles on his arms.
He nods to Austria and smiles while his eyes get small and says, “sorry a guy from North has been through to our business. He is in a pretty dark mess so we are covering him up.” He opens his mustang’s door as Hannah slides in not giving him the second look and Austria nods to his talks as she slides at the passenger side shutting the door to his face.
His dark circles are proof that he has been quietly drinking alcohol for the last few days.
As he slides in the car and jumps the ke
