I'm really enjoying this novel, I haven't been able to put it down. Naive , drunk 17 year old meets equally drunk Alpha at a party . After a night of passion she sneaks out hoping never to see him again. A few weeks later she find out that she's pregnant and all hell breaks out. Her father disowns her and kicks her out of his house and his pack. She tries to let the father of her child know but he isn't interested. One year later and she's alone and destitute living in her car when she once again comes face to face withe the Alpha only to find out that they are mates but he's drunk and doesn't recognise her or the matebond. She's kicked out again only this time she gets lucky and meets a kind hearted old lady , Valerie , who takes her in and helps her turn her life around. They become close, almost like mother and daughter and are creating a good life for themselves when Valerie dies. With her last. Death Valerie tells Everly that she is her sons grandmother ( the Alpha's mother ) and she leaves Everly everything that she owns . 5 years later Everly and Valen meet up again this time he recognises her as his nate but she isn't interested. He tries to convince her whilst she endeavours to keep his son from him . As the story unfolds we see how Everly and Valen are brought together by their son ,Valerian. This is ultimately a story about family.
