Keeping Him: My Ex-boyfriend’s Brother

All I had was one question, why? Why did he do this to me, why did he think it was okay for him to stick his d*ck in another woman, why did he think I would be able to forgive him, why would he think it is all okay because he is in love with me and not her.

That was the only thing I wanted to know, and he didn’t give a good answer.

Birthdays are considered the happiest day of a girl’s life, a day when you are excited especially when you have a boyfriend like Harden, sweet, romantic and would do anything for me, he will go to lengths to make me laugh and each year, he has this little surprise for me, that melts my heart all of the time.

I guess this year was different, his surprised turned out to be something else, I was not meant to be home for another two hours, but I forgot a file and I needed it urgently, and I guess he didn’t have time to check his phone because I texted him letting him know.

I realized I was embarrassing myself by standing here, I looked away from Harden and his wh*r*, she had the widest grin in her face when her eyes met mine before I headed out of the room. I could hear his voice from behind was he was yelling and calling out my name when I stopped in my tracks.

“What?” I yelled, my eyes filled with tears, my chest burning with pain and all I could do was ask that one question, his hand softly touched mine when I pulled my hand away from him.

Looking at his body, all I have been reminded of is his betrayal, as he stood in only his briefs, his body still filled with sweat from his actions and his eyes met mine again.

“Just let me explain, it is not what it looks like.” Harden begged, he tried to reach out for my hand when I moved away from him.

“She doesn’t mean anything to me, this was a mistake Bella, I don’t care about her, you can’t seriously allow this ruin us, after all we have been through.” Harden said, and I stared at him with disbelief written all over my face.

“After all we have been through, this was clearly not a mistake because when she kissed you, you didn’t stop her, when she reached to touch you down there, you didn’t stop her and when she helped you rolled down the condom on your d*ck, you didn’t stop her, you wanted this, you f*ck*ng did.” I yelled, I was about pulling away when he held my hand, and he pulled me closer to him.

She was still in his room, our room while we are having this conversation, and he didn’t care; all he cared about is finding a way to manipulate me, he knows better than anyone, this is not like all the times he would make silly mistakes and I will forgive him, this is much worse, I never forgive a man that cheats.

“Let go of me.” I whispered, more tears streamed down my cheek and his eye met mine, he didn’t want to let go, I started to throw a fit on his arms until he lets go of me. “Never ever touch me like that again, you have lost the right, you don’t ever come close to me again.”

“Please.” Harden whispered, and I rolled my eyes at him, “I am still your Harden, I still love you Bella.”

“Don’t call me that.” I gritted through my teeth, “thank you for the worst birthday ever, if I never walked in, I would have never known, I would continue to think you love, and you care about me, I would continue to think you would never cheat on me.” I yelled, he was about to say something when I placed my hand in the air.

“I understand that you are mad, and I understand that you need space Bella, but I need you to know I will always love you, I always care about you and Bella we are going to get married, you can’t let this come between us.” He said, and I laughed.

I look away from him and I looked back at the ring, with a beat heart, I pulled the ring away from my finger and I threw it against is a face.

Fresh tears filled my eyes, all I ever wanted was to get married of him, and he ruined that.

“I am not just mad, you hurt me Harden, I used to think of you as someone that will never do anything to make me cry, that would always love and care for me, I did everything to be with you, I changed my hair, I learnt how to speak your f*ck*ng language, and I was even about to get the surgery you always wanted me to have, all for what, so you can cheat on me with some sl*t, so you can lie to me.” I yelled, I wiped my tears before I looked back at him.

“I still love you.” Harden said, and I rolled my eyes at him.

“Remember this day Harden because I will never forget it, I will never forget the day you made me cry, and I make you promise, a promise to ruin your life, you may think this is over, but it’s not, I will hurt you as much as you hurt me and that’s a promise.” I whispered before heading out of the living room.

Two Years Later….

I glanced across the room, my eyes meeting every picture of the baby paste on the wall, they looked cute and precious, and I had the same expression, I didn’t smile, but I knew I was happy. I have waited two years for this day, and it’s finally here, I was a little nervous because I have no idea if this is going to work.

For the last two years, I have invested my time, my money, and my effort to make sure I am the perfect candidate for this, I stayed for most night to make sure that I get this right, and it’s finally here.

I guess it’s a huge step for me.
