Chapter 1 Lilith of the Earth
"While I am being nice, leave my office at once!" She threw the documents at his face in disgust. Her eyes screamed toxic, and her voice screamed danger, but the man still stood fearlessly on his feet. He had prepared for this, and he thinks he is down for more to come.
"Ma'am, this is the original document of..."
"Are you still standing there, Mr. Repugnant Rogers?"
"It's Mr. Rey..."
"Get out of my office now, before I ask the security to throw you out with a not-so-good letter. I am quite sure you wouldn't love to see the content of the letter."
"Yes, ma'am, I will leave now." Mr. Reynolds Rogers quickly walked out with his head bowed. He never expected the rumors to be true.
People call her a human Satan; some call her real-life Lilith in human form. Some others also call her a demon in heels.
Mr. Reynolds had never met her before and has rebuked the rumors about her. But what he has seen now has changed his view of her. This woman is a proud Viking. And he is sure everyone must think the same way about her. That witch.
Esposito group...
"Miss Lydia Fernandez, president of Fernandez Enterprises LLC." His PA read aloud a report, then instantly took a pause, "But sir, you can't work with this woman. Everyone knows the Lilith of earth, how proud she is, and how brutal she speaks. She is a very dangerous woman, boss." He lifts his head to look at his PA and frowns at his words.
"The Lilith of the Earth? Really?"
"Yes sir. She is a very wicked and dangerous president of this popular company. She is very ambitious, rich, and, at the same time, a dangerous human, with fangs and claws and umbrella lashes like a witch."
"Enough, enough, Alonzo. Enough exaggerating." He quickly stopped him from saying more. But how can a mere woman be accused of so many things? A witch? Seriously?
"But it's true, president."
"It's just a rumor, Alonzo. Quit saying bad stuff about her. Just send the letter to her company. I am interested in their machines for my company's new product. Don't spoil it with your big mouth. She is a mere woman, not Lilith orwhatever you call her. I don't want to hear those bad words about her any longer." He warned.
"Well, sir, if you insist on working with her, I have no problem with that, but I am still worried. She might revoke it or do worse than that. As I have said, she is a very proud woman."
"Let's wait until Monday, Alonzo, if she is going to revoke my offer. And If she does revoke my offer, I will get another." Alonzo sighed, knowing he couldn't change the mind of his boss anymore. The man had made up his mind. He knows him so well that he will always be yes. Well, he is sure she is going to revoke it. She is a witch of course. He sighed before nodding his head in response.
"Okay sir. Then I will get it delivered immediately."
"Sure." He nods his head and his walked out of the office. "Lydia Fernandez, catchy name, uh?" He smirked widely.
Saturday morning...
"Just inform your sister that Ray Meyers called."
Maria was on the phone, regretting having picked up this call earlier on. She regretted even speaking up when she picked up. Now she is facing the consequences.
"Okay, I will definitely do that." She lied.
Of course she wouldn't inform her sister that this stalker called. He had been trying to woo her sister through her, and it hadn't been working. She hasn't liked the man ever since she met him, and she wouldn't dare allow her sister to date this stalker of a man.
Hasn't he heard the rumors about her sister? Everyone knows how dangerous her big sister is. And of course she reeks danger everywhere she goes, but this man still wishes hell for himself. Hell's deepest pit. Even she is scared of her sister. Mr. Ray Meyers should do too.
"Thank you, Maria."
"You are welcome, sir. I will hang up now."
"Sure." She quickly cuts off the call before sighing out loudly. "Well, that is settled then. I will definitely not tell sis this man called." She made up her mind.
"Who called?" Maria gasped, standing up on her feet in shock at the sight of her sister. She was in her sweatpants and top, which shows she just came back from her early morning jogging. And in her left hand, she held a bottle of water.
Maria was speechless. She wondered if she should tell her sister about this stalker who had been calling her for a while now, asking her about her.
"Talk now, Maria. Who called?" "Ray Meyers." She quickly spoke up. She fear not to provoke her sister.
"Ray Meyers? Who is that?" Lydia frowned.
"I really don't know, sis. But he had been calling me for a while now, asking of you, and I have been making excuses about you not being around, or perhaps at the office. But he had always bragged about being the general manager of Nero Corporation."
"Nero corporation?" Lydia scoffed. "Now I know who. B*st*rd." She cursed before walking outside, thrashing her water bottle.
"Who is the b*st*rd?" Maria wondered. Goodness knows where her sister is heading to. "If she is out to cause trouble, then I will always be here to listen to the news." She turned on the TV. "President of the Fernandez Enterprises LLC, Lydia Fernandez, sent the general manager of Nero Corporation to jail for one crime or the other." Maria muttered, having a great smirk on her face, "Perfect!"
*
Lydia stormed into the Talesman pub in Florence. Getting there, she took hold of the empty bottle on the table, heading to the table of the person she was there for.
"Bang!" She hit the bottle on the table, chattering it into pieces. She left the people around in dismay, especially the men seated at that particular table where she broke the bottle.
"What the hell is this? What in the world is wrong with you, lady?!" Ray cursed, standing up on his feet in anger. He had planned this make-up lunch with his best friends to dissolve their feud, and this psycho lady dared to ruin it.
He turned his head to look at her in exasperation, but appeared stunned the minute he exchanged glances with the woman in front of her. "Lydia?"
"Fernandez." She completed. "It's Lydia Fernandez."
He quickly composed himself, knowing who Lydia was and her identity in this city. She knows how aggressive she is; maybe this was a grand opening to show she is here. Everyone knows she is crazy, and she delivers the grand opening of her visit to a particular place. He subconsciously smiled at himself. Her sister must have delivered his message.
"It's an honor for you to finally come here to this pub."
"Shut it, Ray. I am not interested in the pub." She cuts him off immediately, stopping him from saying more words, which will definitely annoy her. But her words made Ray smile widely. So he is here for him. "Yes, yes, Lydia Fernandez. By which honor do I deserve this treatment?"
"Ray, would you introduce us to her, or would you prefer standing there, grinning like a mischievous kid?" One of his friends scolded him, frowning at him.
"Oh guys. Meet..."
"Lydia Fernandez. I said my name earlier; you boys aren't deaf, right?"
The men seated exchanged glances, looking quite surprised. This is the famous Lydia Fernandez? Wow! They never expected her to be this dangerously hot and seductive at the same time. Of course her name does sound like danger, but people thought the woman behind the table of the Fernandez enterprises was a winkled, old, and pathetic lady vamp who is in need of perhaps the whole world, or something.
Chapter 2 Past memories
"And you," she points the broken bottle at Ray. "My sister informed me about you. You called today, and with what she told me, it hadn't been the first time you had called her asking about me." She angrily pushed away the table, the bottles on the table spilled messily on the floor.
"What in the world is happening here?!" The manager sprang out of his office in exasperation.
Seeing the mess around him, he gasped loudly. "What is all this madness?!"
"This is my warning to you, Ray Meyers. Next time I hear you call my sister, asking of me again, man, you will be doomed. It's the table today; next time, it will be your bones," she threatened, before walking outside like a thunderstorm cracking through a wall.
Ray and his friends were speechless and shocked at the same time. That was a woman. A woman had broken a hard wooden chair in two with her bare hand, and she had also threatened their friend. That was crazy.
"Dude, are you okay?" Phil q
