Prologue

In the year 2440, the global energy reservoirs approach depletion. Official reports from various nations cascade, announcing the exhaustion of primitive energy sources such as petroleum and coal. Although alternatives like solar, hydrogen, and nuclear energy exist, the colossal, cost-effective, and low-risk synthesis remains an enigma yet to be unraveled. An international alliance has established a staggering billion-dollar prize to incentivize scientists to conquer this predicament, yet progress remains elusive.

As the chasm between affluence and poverty widens, conflicts intensify. Ultimately, when internal strife proves insurmountable, nations worldwide, as if by tacit agreement, redirect their discord outward. The ignition point for this strife is the energy crisis, and war erupts with unimaginable speed, swiftly engulfing the entire world on an unprecedented scale. In the process, numerous nations are annihilated, while others proclaim their existence only to vanish and re-emerge in a cyclic pattern. The nomadic existence of people turns the human race into a palette, where shades of yellow, black, and white dominate each region. A poignant question surfaces—do national borders truly hold such significance?

After a decade of tumult, people gradually forget their nationalities due to their sheer abundance. Humanity then segregates into two factions: the Progressive and the Obstinate.

Progressives: Advocate for the dissolution of borders, asserting that humanity itself is a unified entity. The three major alliances representing politics, economics, and military, along with some relatively smaller coalitions, swiftly rise to prominence.

Obstinate: Argue that the colossal human population, if mixed, implies greater chaos. They advocate for governing by separate nations, deeming it a rational approach.

The representatives of the Progressives are mostly exceptionally skilled young individuals, possessing formidable prowess but held down by the entrenched old guard. The Obstinate faction comprises former holders of significant national positions, a relatively older generation with an insatiable desire for power. As the saying goes, the river's new waves propel the old waves forward, but the old waves often perish on the shore. It is a world dominated by the youth, where the traditional order teeters on the brink, and alliances hold the reins, charting the course of progress.

Some argue that war serves as the most potent catalyst for technological advancement. During the war, an array of novel weapons and high-speed transportation emerge, rendering distances inconsequential in human interactions. Thus, the land becomes merely a dwelling place, devoid of additional significance.
