"I can't believe you've wasted two years on that cheating *ssh*l*". Marty said while picking her drink from the table in front of us.

"Marty just leave it alone, it's not like I was even in love with him". I sighed heavily. Well I was a mess of emotions, sad angry and relieved after breaking up with my ex Nate but mostly relieved.

I caught him cheating on me with his colleague. I know you would be thinking in the office, his house or her house. No, you've got it all wrong. I caught them going at it in the toilet of La Cosque, a hotel sponsoring a business seminar we both went for. And the worst part of it, it wasn't a lady he cheated on me with, it was a guy! a guy!!! Can you believe that?

That was a huge blow to my ego. I know I might not be a showstopper or my smile a drop-dead killer, but I know I can stand my ground in the looks department. Anyways, I am in my mid twenties, 25 to be specific, five-six in height, curvy in the right places, have curly Auburn hair, dimples that come out when I smile (not to brag) which all my exes have complimented. I have porcelain smooth skin which I got from both my parents. Now for my face, I have forest-green colored eyes, cupid-shaped lips and a beautiful sloppy nose. Well d*mn I am a hottie.

"No, really Penelope, I am not letting it go", Marty brought me back with her indignant whining.

"Have you seen yourself?" She screeched as she signalled her hands at me.

"I know babe you don't have to tell me" . I sniped back in sarcasm, though Marty hardly noticed since she was already far gone in her rant.

"What kind of man would leave a stunner like you and go dip his thingy in a man".

"An idiot, Penny, an idiot will". I rolled my eyes and shook my head, only Marty can be so dramatic.

The sound of the door opening alerted me to the entrance of Jessie, my other roommate, thankfully she was the sensible and less dramatic one.

"Oh darling, I came home as quick as I could". She hugged me and nodded at Marty. Oh scratch that! Not her too. I could only take so much from Marty. I groaned.

"Did I miss the bawling?" Wow I was going through a rough break up not a damned apocalypse.

"Sorry to disappoint you, yes you did"

"How are you feeling honey?"

"Numb" . To be honest I was feeling numb, not even emotional about the break up.

" Well I didn't think Nate had it in him to cheat". I groaned as they brought it up again.

"Well he had it in him to cheat on her with a guy!" Marty emphasized slowly

"A guy!! Jessie". Jessie eyes rounded with shock as if she couldn't believe what she just heard. I snickered.

"Wha .... what did you just say?" she asked as she staggered into the seat close to her. Marty nodded with satisfaction as she had finally seen the reaction she was looking for. Just great, I mumbled to myself.

"You don't say". Marty quipped as she poured Jessie a glass of red wine.

" No wonder you were hardly getting some". Jessie looked at me in pity. I shook my head in an agonizing manner , someone just kill me.

"But he could give it to a man very well, while poor Penny had to use her fingers and battery operated boyfriend every night". Marty encouraged in spiteful anger and righteousness. Well that was true, but not every night. Seems like someone was talking about herself. This was getting interesting. The power of alcohol, I snickered as I shifted forward in my chair.

"Yeah, vent it all out girl" I encouraged.

"What an *ssh*l*". Jessie countered.

" I wish .." Mary hiccupped. Looks like drama queen was getting tipsy.

"I could kick him in the balls right now". She shouted and tried to stand up only managing to stagger.

"I think you guys are taking this a little too far". I commented while helping Marty to settle down.

"I think we should all rest, you would thank me tomorrow". I took the half empty glasses from both of them.

"Hey!". They both chorused. I silenced them with my death glare that I was famous for. I stood up stretching my body with a loud yawn.

"I am going to bed, besides no funny business" I warned them as I eyed Marty specifically. As I turned, I heard both of them giggling. I saw that I forgot to take the bottle of wine with me. I smirked when they realized that I have seen it.

"I believe this belongs with me" I said in a sweet cheeky too as I picked it too.

"Goodnight ladies"

"You too". They replied sulkily.

The crowd cheered as the DJ changed the track to a popular jam that was trending. I looked around to see Marty twerking and grinding on a cute guy like her life depended on it.

Unfortunately Jessie couldn't come because she was working a nightshift. Sometimes I wondered how she became a nurse, no offence there, but she and her profession were contradictory. She was open, wild and slightly crazy but not close to Marty's craziness.

I didn't have a definite dancing partner yet, but I was dancing randomly with anybody that came my way. I signalled to Marty that I was going to get a drink at the bar. Getting there, I brought out a ten and slipped on the table to the bar attendant.

"A virgin martini, if you don't mind".
