Annotation

Her father killed mine. They call her the True Alpha—mystically powerful, unstoppable. A walking weapon with the power of life and death. I have trained my whole life to end her. I swore I would not perish until she perished with me. Along with her family. Her entire bloodline. But it didn’t happen as I planned. For as I write this in tears, all I want now is not her death… but her love. To be hers. To be claimed by the very daughter of my father’s killer. Except—she wants me dead. For bringing war into her territory, she will stop at nothing until I am destroyed.

Chapter 1: BEGINNING OF THE END

✍️ Author’s note:

For anyone picking up this book without reading PART ONE: DENNYJAY—TO TOUCH AN OMEGA, here are a few important details to spare you confusion. Don’t panic! This story stands on its own. It’s complete and flows, but I’ll give a short setup from Part One so you won’t be overwhelmed by characters and their relationships.

You can skip the details if you like. I’ll keep reminding readers of old ties inside the chapters until the characters settle in your heart.

To my returning readers, those who already know the first part, please bear with me when you come across familiar explanations. Don’t roll your eyes in boredom. Restrain your mind from screaming, “I know” “I know”. Lol.

Now, the essentials:

Elsie—a newborn in Part One, is eighteen now. She is the True Alpha and possesses mystical powers.

Delveyster Breon (Denny)—eighteen in Part One, is thirty-six now. A male Omega. Married to Jay. Elsie calls him “Mama”. Denny is also the White Omega (a special kind of Omega)

Jason Corato (Jay)—twenty in Part One, thirty-eight now. A male Alpha. Married to Denny. Elsie calls him “Papa”; Denny calls him “Jaden” or “Prîck”. Jay has mystical powers.

LUO—twenty-two in Part One, forty now. A Beta and Jay’s best man. Elsie calls him “Uncle Luo”.

MAX—eighteen in Part One, thirty-six now. An Omega and Luo’s lover. Elsie calls him “Maxwell”. Max was Denny’s friend in Part One and is Elsie’s best friend now.

In Part One, Jay fought a group of ruthless Alphas called the UNIONS. They wanted baby Elsie and Denny dead because of what they might become. The Unions are dead now—Jay won.

One more thing: Denny calls Elsie “little one” or “TA.” TA stands for True Alpha.

This book shows the full manifestation of Elsie’s power. Any other information will appear within the chapters. Brief. Clear. Now, let’s get into business. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

POV: ELSIE:

I pushed at him with everything I had…my stick crashing against his, teeth gritted, forehead furrowed, palms slick with sweat and determination. But Uncle Luo swung his stick against mine like he was playing with a kitten. An agitated pup.

I hated it.

I hated that after years of training and unlocking so many powers, he still treated me like a child. He saw only the newly born Elsie. And more annoying, he was right. I was childish. Immature enough to refuse defeat, even when I couldn’t match his manual fighting skills.

“Argh!” I charged harder.

Bored of my weak strikes, he slammed my stick to the ground and grinned at my furious face.

“You look like you need a break,” he smirked. “A break from frustration.”

“Perhaps we should fight fair,” I snapped, eyes flashing red, palms spread to unleash lightning.

He huffed, stepped closer, and rapped his knuckles on my head. My coloured eyes reset to their natural blue. “Perhaps you should take the training seriously.”

Rubbing my burning scalp. “I don’t need training.”

“That’s why you never learn. Too proud.”

I am proud. I deserve to be. I am the True Alpha. I am the most powerful mystical being across territories. At just eighteen, I am unbeatable. Unchallengeable. I’m…

Another knock on my head.

“Yet, not once have you beaten me,” Uncle Luo said as if reading my mind. “Get the sticks, little one. Time for breakfast.”

Little one. I hated that name, too. But there wasn’t much I could do about it. Mama had sworn never to call me anything else, and now everyone, especially family, followed his lead. Well, Everyone except Papa.

“Little one!” Uncle Luo called when I didn’t move.

Seeing his back turn, both sticks in my hands, I saw my chance to overthrow him. I lunged, but he suddenly stopped mid-step. A stick pierced deep into his arm.

Blood dripped. My eyes went wide. But Uncle Luo’s gaze remained on the gate. I followed it and saw a strange figure clutching a pillar, tattered and weak, about to collapse.

Uncle Luo hurried to the stranger, catching the body before it hit the ground. More worried about his bleeding arm than the stranger, I pressed my hand to his wound, forgetting I could heal him easily. I have the power to do that.

Uncle Luo lifted the frail figure onto his shoulder while I held his arm. Then the stranger’s eyes opened and met mine.

Those eyes…bright even in their weakness—locked onto me, cutting straight into my spirit.

My world froze. I let go of Uncle Luo’s arm and rooted to the spot, blinking, as he carried the most beautiful woman I had ever seen into the house.

*************

POV: FEENA:

I smelled her.

Her sweat. Her essence. The True Alpha scent I had learned to recognise for seventeen years. The scent I had trained to hunt since I was four, even as it repulsed me. I smelled her from several steps away as I made my way into the infamous Corato mansion.

I paused, took out the dizzy potion my people had prepared, and gulped it. While I waited for it to take effect, I opened another vial, pressed two drops into each eye, and felt the glowing liquid settle.

Stories said the True Alpha was incapable of love. Immune to feelings, or perhaps simply not yet to find her heartthrob. Whatever the truth, I was told she didn’t believe in love. The most effective way to break her, I was told, was to make her fall in love with me. So, I had this expensive love charm conjured just for her.

I wasn’t supposed to look into anyone’s eyes before hers; otherwise, I would risk another fool falling in love with me.

The dizzy potion hit. My eyes shone with the charm’s sparkles as I walked toward the gates.

There she was, duelling with the feisty Beta. Luo.

Oh, I knew every face in the Corato family. I had their photos, memorised their scents, studied them while I trained underground. I had not met them in person until now, but I knew them by heart.

As I stared at Elsie, I wondered who she took after—the looks, the beauty. Maybe her Omega father-mother, Denny. Or perhaps her Alpha father, Jay, who had been called the most handsome man across the cardinal territories.

You might not know this: Denny used to transform into a woman. Becky. Becoming Becky was the only time he could be the Omega he was born to be—the only way to keep the unborn Elsie safe in his belly. Elsie might have taken after that female version of her father. Becky was said to be beautiful.

Thanks to her bloodline, her beauty was disarming.

Luo’s eyes landed on me. Quick-witted, as they described him. Among the wandering people everywhere, he was the first to notice my tattered, disguised figure slumping against the gate.

“I got you,” he whispered as he lifted me. “It’s alright…”

What should I call that…empathy? Nonsense. Including him, and the big shiny blue eyes, already staring at me like they were in love, I would ruin them all.

For killing my father and the Unions seventeen years ago, I would bury the Coratos alive.

I’ll stop talking now. Enjoy the rest of the chapters.

Chapter 2: BE RIGHT BACK

ELSIE:

I dragged my feet inside. The stranger had been laid on the table at the centre of the living room. That table had a history—sacred history. It was the only piece of furniture that hadn’t been replaced in years. It was life. It was resurrection.

On that very table, my Mama had once died and was brought back to life…by me.

Don’t be shocked. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said I was powerful. For now, all you need to know is that...that table is an altar. Special. Untouchable.

The stranger wasn’t dead, injured or in need of healing, yet something about her made my chest tighten. I worried about someone I didn’t even know.

And she...she was unconsciously conscious. Her long lashes fluttered, her eyes blinking open at intervals. Each time our gazes met, my heart stumbled, my throat went dry. My hands trembled. My lips quivered.

“Is she a Breedener?”

Uncle Luo’s voice tore through the moment, pulling me back to reality. I t
