Chapter 1 : Interesting Introduction

It was the first day of the semester, and the air in campus buzzed with the usual lot of blend of excitement and tension. Kane Morgan, with his messy hair and evil smirk, strolled through the halls like he owned the place. His reputation preceded him, known for skipping classes, talking back to professors, and pushing every boundary.

Today, though, there was something different in the air. Kane had heard rumors about the new professor teaching philosophy. Seohan’s personality is Cross. Strict, and cold. Exactly the kind of authority figure Kane loved to toy with.

As Kane enter into the lecture hall, late as always, he immediately spotted Seohan at the front of the room. Tall, well-dressed, with an expression that could freeze water. The moment their eyes met, a flicker of something dangerous sparked in the air.

Seohan’s gaze shifted to his watch. “You’re late.”

Kane shrugged, his smirk widening. “So What.”

The class went silent, sensing the tension.

Seohan remained unfazed, his tone sharp and controlled. “Do you intend to take this class seriously, Mr. Morgan, or should I save us both time and drop you off?”

Kane leaned back in his seat, legs casually crossed. “Guess we’ll find out, won’t we, Professor?”

A subtle shift passed through Seohan’s face, but his voice remained steady. “I won’t tolerate disrespect, nor do I have patience for any disruptions. Consider this your last warning.”

Kane tilted his head, intrigued. Most professors would have backed down by now, but Seohan’s cold confidence made him different, like a challenge. And Kane loved a challenge.

The rest of the lecture was very tense. Every time Ethan spoke, Kane found himself staring, a strange pull in his chest. There was something about Seohan’s calm authority that drew him in, making him want to push more of himself, to see what it would take to break that icy façe.

By the end of the class, Kane had made up his mind: this semester was going to be interesting.

As students began to file out, Kane stayed behind, lingering by the door. Seohan looked up from his notes, his expression unreadable.

“Something on your mind, Mr. Morgan?” Seohan asked coolly.

Kane smirked, stepping closer. “Just wondering how long it'll take before you break.”

Seohan’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You think this is a game?”

Kane leaned in, his voice low and teasing. “Isn’t everything?”

For a brief moment, Seohan’s gaze darkened, and a tension thicker than the usual student-teacher friction filled the space between them. But just as quickly, Seohan turned away, dismissing Kane without another word.

As Kane walked out of the classroom, his heart was racing, not from fear, but from excitement. He hadn’t expected Seohan to be so... cool. It only made him more determined. This wasn’t just about pushing buttons anymore; something deeper, darker, was brewing between them.

Whatever it was, Kane wasn’t going to back down. This semester, things were about to get messy.

Kane couldn’t shake the thought of Seohan from his mind. The way the professor had stood there, unflinching, unbothered by his usual actions, it was different. It was Challenging. Most people broke easily under Kane’s rebellious actions, but Seohan’s icy exterior felt impenetrable, and that only fueled his determination.

The following week, Kane arrived late again. This time, he made sure to make an entrance. His footsteps echoed through the silent lecture hall as he casually strolled in, coffee in hand, ignoring the stares of his classmates.

Seohan glanced up, his expression unreadable, and said nothing. That silence sting more than anything.

Kane took his seat and leaned back, his smirk faltering for just a moment. No reaction? Fine. If Seohan wasn’t going to play along, Kane would just have to push harder.

As the class progressed, Kane made little comments under his breath, just loud enough for Seohan to hear. “Isn’t that a bit of an oversimplification?” he muttered during a lecture on morality. “Pretty basic stuff.”

A few students chuckled nervously, but Seohan didn’t flinch. He continued speaking, as if Kane hadn’t said a word.

Kane frowned a bit. It wasn’t like him to be ignored. He craved attention—whether it was admiration or annoyance, he didn’t care, as long as people reacted. But Seohan was a stone-cold man.

Midway through the lecture, something snapped inside Kane. He stood up, interrupting Seohan mid-sentence. “Are you just gonna keep droning on, or are we gonna have a real conversation?”

The class went silent. Seohan calmly set down his marker, his eyes locking on Kane’s.

“You have something valuable to contribute, Mr. Morgan?” Seohan asked, his voice dangerously calm.

Kane’s heart raced. He had expected anger, maybe even a sharp expression, but not this unnerving calm. “I’m just saying, maybe your lecture could use a little more… life.”

Seohan’s gaze sharpened, but his tone remained icy. “The purpose of this class isn’t to entertain you. If you’re not here to learn, you’re free to leave.”

Kane hesitated. For the first time in a long time, he wasn’t sure what to say. Seohan had him cornered, and it was infuriating.

But as he stood there, locked in Seohan’s gaze, something unexpected happened. Instead of feeling humiliated or angry, Kane felt a surge of excitement. The tension between them was palpable, and for a brief moment, the air between them felt changed with something far more dangerous than rivalry.

“Maybe I will,” Kane said, but there was no conviction in his voice. He sat back down, his mind racing.

For the rest of the class, Kane remained silent, watching Seohan closely. Every word the professor spoke, every controlled movement, felt like a taunt—like Seohan knew exactly how much he was getting under Kane’s skin, and he was enjoying it.

When the class ended, Kane waited until everyone else had left before approaching Seohan’s desk. “You know, most professors would have kicked me out by now,” Kane said, leaning against the desk.

Seohan didn’t look up. “I’m not most of the professors.”

Kane’s smirk returned. “No, you’re not.”

Seohan finally glanced up, his eyes cold and calculating. “You think you’re playing a game here, Mr. Morgan. But be careful. You might not like how it will end.”

Kane felt a chill run down in his spine, but it only made him more determined. “I like dangerous games,” he said, his voice low, a teasing edge to it.

Seohan didn’t respond. He simply gathered his things and walked out of the room, leaving Kane standing there, breathless.

This wasn’t just about pushing boundaries anymore. This was something far more thrilling and dangerous. And Kane wasn’t going to stop until he had Seohan exactly where he wanted him.

To be continued...

Chapter 2 : Hidden Desires

Kane had never been one to obsess over anyone. People came and went in his life, mostly just fleeting encounters that left little impact. But now, Seohan occupied his thoughts in a way that no one else had before. It wasn’t just the challenge, it was something deeper, something he couldn’t define. The cold professor had gotten under his skin, and the thrill of their encounters only made Kane want him more.

Weeks passed, and the tension between them grew fast in each class. Kane pushed Seohan’s limit every chance he got, and though Seohan never outwardly reacted, Kane could see it — the brief flicker of frustration in Seohan’s eyes. Seohan wasn’t unaffected. He was just very, very good at hiding it.

One evening, Kane found himself wandering through the campus library, bored and restless. As he rounded a corner, he stopped there shortly. There, seated at a table, completely engrossed in a stack of papers, was Seohan.
