They say, time heals worse to worst wounds. Can time heal the wound of losing a long-time love, losing a wife, losing the mother of one's children? Can time heal the wound of losing a sister? Losing the first love? Due to some dreadful events, Luna ends up marrying none other than her sister's husband, brother-in-law, and father of her twin nieces. She didn't even get to complain, even though her life got turned upside down.
Chapter 1
Life is nothing without surprises and uncertainties. Some surprises are good, and some are the worst. Some we are aware of, some we aren't. Luna, a twenty-two-year-old free rider, also didn't have any idea that her life would throw such bad surprises at her one by one.
Present day..........
"Luna, wake up, it's already noon!" Luna groaned at the constant knocking of her mother on her door. "Your sister and Adonis may come here at any moment." Luna was about to mumble something along with 'five minutes more,' but her ears perked up at the mention of her sister. Her older sister, Laura, eight years older than her, who lives in America and comes back here two or three times a month, will visit her today after ten long days.
Luna loves her sister very much and misses her because at first her sister went to Germany to study abroad, then she returned to America, only to marry her boyfriend Adonis the following year, who decided to settle down in America. But the distance never came in their way. They often talked and video chatted whenever they were apart. They might've had a huge age gap, but they were like soulmates, of course, that's because they were siblings.
Luna pushed herself up from her bed hurriedly. She didn't want to waste any moment without seeing her sister when she arrived. Every minute was important for her. She finished her natural business and also succeeded in taking a quick bath within the next twenty minutes. She had chosen to wear a simple pink summer dress that she knew would match with her sister because they decided what to wear through messages. They did this even though they'll just stay at home. They were inspired by her twin nieces, Mina and Lisa. Those two little sweet chunks would always choose the same outfits, and they would whine all day if they didn't get their matching outfits.
Luna's face stretched in a warm, sweet smile at the reminder of her cute nieces. She could swear they were the most adorable kids in the whole world. She didn't even like kids to begin with, but when her sister brought these two little flower petals into the world, she was whipped for them instantly. Luna claimed they were this adorable because they're her sister's babies, but Laura claimed her babies got their cute genes from their daddy, Adonis. No matter how many times they've argued on this matter, it never ends.
Now, they just did it for the sake of fun. Not that Luna could disagree with her sister wholly, her Adonis, as a thirty-two-year-old man, was quite handsome. He's a gentleman. Though he didn't visit here often because he was busy handling his huge business, the times Luna had met him and seen him, she could tell how much of a sweet gentleman he was. And how much he loved her sister Laura.
Also, her sister couldn't keep her mouth shut about how hot her husband was or how much Luna could tell their successful marriage was solely the result of their undying love for each other. And she adored this fact from the core of her heart. She thought of her brother-in-law Adonis as an ideal husband. And that's what she usually told her boyfriend Clinton whenever he'd ask her about what kind of husband she expected him to be.
"Be like my brother-in-law. Be like Adonis." These would be the most common answers to Clinton's questions. She could tell Clinton gets irritated by her fangirling for her favorite couple in the world; she could tell Clinton sometimes would get a tiny bit jealous that his girlfriend couldn't stop blabbing about another man in front of him. But she didn't care.
She'd never stop fangirling over this lovely couple, Adonis and Laura. At the thought of Clinton, she checked whether he had given her any calls or texts on her phone, and she got two texts:
From Laura: We'll be reaching within an hour.
And another from her boyfriend.
From Clinton baby: Hey babe, up for a shopping date?
She squealed happily that her sister's text came almost an hour ago, which meant they'll be arriving at any moment. She also smiled after reading her boyfriend's text. She loved him for his randomness. He had always claimed that random plans always work the best. So they never made any plans beforehand. But she had to turn him down, not today, because today her sister and nieces owned all of her time.
She sent him a quick reply.
To Clinton: Nope, baby, Laura is coming. We can go tomorrow!
From Clinton baby: Why do I have so many rivals?
Luna giggled as he cooed. She knew he considered her Laura, her brother-in-law, and her nieces as his rivals. Because whenever they'd visit here, she wouldn't give him any time.
To Clinton: Don't be sad, baby. Here, have some kisses.
Luna heard the bell of their house ringing, indicating the arrival of her sister and her family.
From Clinton baby: Only two won't do. The baby needs more kisses. Luna chuckled, to the world Clinton might be a rising model, hot and hunky- but to her, he was a sweet soft romantic guy. She smiled to herself and sent a quick reply before rushing downwards.
To Clinton baby: Gotta go now. Laura arrived.
"Laura." Luna shrieked as usual upon seeing her sister in a beautiful pink knee-length dress. Both of them hugged each other with happy giggles, their eyes twinkling.
Luna then shifted her attention to the little twins, both of whom were also wearing pink outfits. All four of them must've looked like they were wearing some kind of uniform. Nonetheless, they're adorable as usual. Luna squatted down to their level and squished them in a warm hug and loud smooches on their cheeks that made their soft, fluffy cheeks turn red where she just kissed them.
"Missed you, my babies." Luna cooed at them.
Chapter 2
"Go away, they are my children." Laura jokingly said and got an eye roll from Luna in return.
"They don't even look like you anymore. Why do they look like their daddy?" Luna scrunched her nose playfully.
"Why? Is their daddy not good-looking at all?" Spoke a familiar voice, Luna looked up to see her brother-in-law entering the house, he was wearing his casual clothes, and not a single soul could guess that he was in his early thirties and also had two children. Luna knew he was good-looking. But she loved to tease him, after all, he's her brother-in-law.
"Not at all." Luna stuck her tongue out at Adonis. The male-only chuckled and ruffled her hair while holding her sister by her waist with the other arm.
"My grandchildren have come after ten days!" Another shrieking voice, their mother, came, and she also squished those little ones in a tight hug. "Aren't you two the cutest?" She cooed.
Luna saw Adonis and Laura smiling at each other while they watch
