Chapter 1
One of the many reasons I detest relationships is that couples' public displays of affection are simply too disgusting. Like, please don't put your tongue in each other's throats.
People will go crazy today because it's Valentine's Day. You can find couples making out all over the place.
Couples have never really appealed to me. because my previous relationship didn't work out. Because relationships always end badly, I don't even want to be in one.
There used to be constant arguments between Mom and Dad. They had a happy marriage for 27 years before divorcing. Seeing them like that still hurts my heart.
Instead of making you stronger, relationships make you weaker. They abandon you to suffer alone after shattering your heart into a million tiny pieces.
Living at your parents' house all year round is really difficult. It's similar to traveling to a different country every six months. I simply moved in with my grandmother after growing weary of it.
My grandmother is quite kind and takes excellent care of me. Even though she is also very saddened by her parents' divorce.
I had hoped that today would be different. I wanted today to be unlike any other day I've ever experienced.
I want today to be tranquil. I don't want to listen to my parents argue on the phone. I'm going to take Grandma to the movies today, and we'll have a great time.
I noticed a couple making out in the dairy goods department as I was about to grab more groceries. They were obstructing my path as I attempted to pass them and retrieve a gallon of milk. Excuse me, "I started, but they didn't seem to hear me."Please pardon me. They were too preoccupied with sucking each other's faces to pay attention when I repeated. Oh no! Excuse me, "I said last time as I pulled them apart and took a gallon of milk. “What the hell?" Hungrily, the girl dragged the man toward her and began kissing him while muttering.
After glancing at me, the man winked. I ignored him, went to other areas, and grabbed what I required.
I went to the cashier to check out as soon as I had everything I needed from the store. The line was lengthy. I observed a lot of individuals purchasing various kinds of chocolates and flowers. A few minutes later, she gave me a call.
As she began going through the stuff, I glanced over my shoulder and noticed a man conversing with a woman who was carrying a baby.
The man had a well-structured face. He appeared beautiful due to his sharply sculpted jaw. His eyes were green with a trace of grey, and his brown hair was neatly groomed. He wore a three-piece Armani suit and was fairly tall.
I couldn't tell how long I had been staring at him, but I had to turn my head away when he stared directly at me. I felt ashamed. How would he perceive me?
Even though I didn't know him, something was alluring about him.
He is a man, and all they know how to do is break people's hearts and abandon them to suffer.
I didn't understand the cashier's expression when I turned to face her. She said, "59 pounds," as I pulled out and swiped my credit card. "Thank you, have a lovely day," she added, giving me each bag.
I tried to fit them all around my hands. I gave a nod and moved aside. The same man was staring at me when I turned to face him again.
With all the bags obstructing my view, I turned my head aside and left the store. In an attempt to figure out how I would take these home, I tried looking at them from the side.
Even though it was just 7:00, it was already getting dark and really cold. I'm sorry, I forgot to pack my jacket. Holding all the items, I continued to walk.
The goods fell when someone unexpectedly bumped into me. I mumbled under my breath, "Sh*t," and began gathering things.
Abruptly, someone knelt and began assisting me. The same man who was kissing a girl back in the store was there when I looked up. He was helping me pick up my stuff while kneeling.
Both he and I took half of the bags. I tried to get him to give me the bags by extending my other arm, but he refused. He grinned when I looked at him. Do you mind if I assist you? You seem to be carrying too much. He grinned and asked in a composed manner. Yes, "I said as I fixed my bangs with my other hand. “Please pardon me. As he adjusted his tie, he inquired. I'm attempting to convey that... I said as I started to walk, "I have to go home, and I don't need help. “He began to follow me and said, "Well, then let me help you get home quickly." "Where is your car?" He looked around and inquired. “There isn't a car," I sneered. I just had a question. He said, "I can take you in my car," and I noticed that he was perspiring. How incredibly polite of you. I appreciate your offer, but it seems that the thought of you assisting me makes your sweat glands uncomfortable.
"You are perspiring excessively," I said, observing him take out a cloth and dab at his perspiration. That's not the case. Simply put, I'm not accustomed to spending a lot of time in the sun," he said. He rubbed his nose, and I answered, "It's not even sunny. “He winked and said, "Well, a lady like you will definitely get those sweat glands pumping."
Gosh, oh gosh. Here, he begins talking about himself and his unappealing personality. Oh no. "Stop!" I moaned. “Pardon me? “As he laughed, I said, "Stop hitting on me. It's not going to work. “Well, hmm. "Hard to get types," he said. I said, "How about not getting by anyone types? “Touché. That is more difficult for me. Don't waste your time on me, then. I held out my arm and said, "I have to go. “Then, how are you going to go home? He inquired by strolling. Would you mind? As I picked up all the things and headed out, I inquired. He cried out, "By the way, my name is Jeremy," but I was too preoccupied with mending the bags to notice. Yes, anything," I yelled in response. You?" he exclaimed. I yelled back, "Not that I'm ever going to see you again," and walked home without saying anything else. ~~
I began ringing the doorbell as soon as I got home. I chose to open the door myself because Grandma didn't.
I removed my key and set all of the groceries on the floor. I brought all the groceries to the kitchen after carefully opening the door. “Keechee?" There was no answer when I called out. Keechee? "Keechee, where are you?" I yelled out once more, but nobody answered.
I heard a big crash in the bedroom all of a sudden. I walked gently to the bedroom while carrying a bat. "Keechee?" I spoke slowly.
There was nobody in the bedroom when I opened the door. I was startled when Keechee suddenly appeared from behind the door. “Boo," she yelled, and I let out a cry. I was going to strike her with the bat when I realized it was her.
I detested it when she frightened me in this way. My blood pressure was probably high, and my heart was beating quickly. I began to perspire. Stop doing that, Keechee. She followed me as I stomped to the kitchen, complaining, "I thought something happened.
“I have to do something enjoyable now that I'm getting older," she remarked. I said, "I'm not talking to you about whatever."Alright, don't speak to me, but get ready. “Prepare? "For what?" for a meal. “What dinner? “My eyes widened as she began, "With a handsome young man as-"Young and attractive, what? I stared at her in shock. Enjoy your date," she said. A date?" She gave me a puppy-eyed expression when I yelled.
Chapter 2
"A date? Why do you think that I will go out on a date?" I scoffed. This might be my final request, sweetheart. She pretended to cry and said, "I want you to be happy. “Oh my god, really?" I moaned. "Keechee!"
She began to wipe away the nonexistent tears. Even though she wasn't weeping, I felt horrible. I don't want to upset her because she was the closest thing I had to family. “All right, I'll go," I muttered. You know? "What?" She blew her nose with a tissue and inquired.
I said, "I'll go on this dumb date," and she promptly embraced me. I was aware of it! I always knew you would depart." She exclaimed with excitement. As we withdrew, I remarked, "Um, you are forcing me to leave and—"A liar! "Dear, you have incredible desires," she cut in, and okay," I concluded.
I glanced at her, and she appeared thrilled with my choice. I never went on any of her blind dates, despite her constant attempts. I'm going for the first time, and I hope it goes well.
