"You were going to be my father-in-law." This is messed up. Gripping my chin, he kisses me. "And now, I'm your plaything, someone you have at your beck and call to fulfill your pleasures. Or do you no longer want me to continue?" he asks. Rainbow's world is turned upside down. One minute she was planning her wedding but the next, her tongue was deep down Jordan’s, her ex-fiancé's friend, and running in between classes to hook up with Damon, her ex-fiancé’s dad. This all started a month ago when Rainbow finds her fiance cheating on her and being told she was a tool to fool his father into giving him his inheritance early. Rainbow’s friends suggest she makes a s*x list to enact revenge and explore her sexuality, which she does. But now she finds herself torn between making a decision on who to choose as Jordan confesses his love for her, Damon, who ignited a pleasure she couldn't ignore; and Jonathan himself, the ex-fiancé who begs for a second chance. Three men, one desire. Who will be the one to claim her heart – and her body? And how long will it take before one knows about the other?
Meeting Mr Darcy
Rainbow’s POV
Today was the day I get to meet Jonathan’s dad. I had a lot to do to get ready.
“I can’t wait to meet him, It feels like yesterday he asked me out and now I’m meeting his father.” I spoke over the phone
Jonathan and I started dating about three months ago and as funny as it might sound, we only became intimate immediately he popped the question and asked me to marry him.
You might think its untrue but believe me, its very true. I was brought up very conventional and even though my parents are no longer with me, their teachings stuck. I was only saving myself for my husband but Jonathan being persistent and sweet at the same time made me give in to him immediately he asked.
And today we get to announce it to his family and although I'm fidgeting because well, this is my first time of meeting someone’s family after they had proposed. So do not blame me when I’m trying to make the man approve of me.
“Just calm down Ray, I know how you want today to be perfect. Just take it easy with…” I heard my fiance’s best friend who has become more like a sister to me speak through the speakers but I wasn’t actually listening. It felt like she was pouring water into a basket.
“Oh come on Audrey. I am so excited. If all goes well, I would be married to the love of my life in less than a year and you would have a godchild to spoil very soon.”
Saying our goodbyes, I end the call as I go ahead to make some final touch to my hair. Minutes later, I hear Jonathan knocking on my door to pick me to our destination.
Three hours later…
Taking in a second gasp as we walked in. This room screams money, and it's not like I'm poor; I'm just not stupidly rich like this. Jonathan isn't yet. Sure, his dad is, but Jonathan was told until he proves himself, he won't get a penny. Sure, he gets money from his dad every month to live a pretty decent life if you ask me. Yet, nothing else.
Even though I know that his dad essentially paid for this ring I am wearing, Jonathan doesn't work, which means he no doubt had to ask his dad for money for the ring.
It's looking like Jonathan might be getting his inheritance. News of this engagement has made his father see him in a whole new way –not just the engagement, but me, apparently. Dating me has made his son straighten his life out is what the man said. I'm not sure how I helped. All l am doing is dating him.
I didn't even know about his money until I met his dad, so it was a shock when Jonathan pulled over at one of the mansions at the York Estate.
They continued the conversation. His dad smiled at me and the ring. But I'm still processing this new information.
Jonathan's father is lovely, though. His smile is welcominh and causes an unsual reaction from me. You wouldn’t even know he is a billionaire and owner of Brent Companies – the biggest technology companies in New York. From the conversation, it’s evident that he wants the best for Jonathan but hates his behaviour - a behaviour that I have not seen but everybody seems to have noticed.
I knew a little about him before dating him but enough to get engaged to him, but clearly not enough as his father kept on emphasizing not enough to know the real him – the one his father said didn't deserve the money.
His dad talks, laughing. I reply and feel Jonathan's hand sliding up my leg. My body tenses.
Turning, I glare at him. His eyes spark with interest, and he pouts at me. We're sitting with his dad.
"Did it go well then?" Damon smiles at me from across the table.
I nod and smile. "It went amazing Mr Darcy, I was surprised it went so well."
"Rainbow, please call me Damon. You have been dating Jonathan for over a year plus you’re engaged. You are about to be my daughter in law so you don't need to be so formal with me." He smiles as he finishes his statement, and I nod.
"Anyway, I will let you two kids do what you do and have fun. I will be in my office. It’s late already so I’d prefer if you spend the night here. It was lovely meeting you Rainbow." I watch Damon stand, give me a kiss on my cheek and leave.
The moment Damon shuts the door, I turn to face Jonathan giving him a look. At every single moment we had lunch discussing with his father, he tried to grope me under the table.
"Babe, it was nothing.” He shrugged his shoulders as he leans forward, his lips touching mine. “I didn't even get close to my goal."
"Even so, we were sitting with your dad and having lunch!" I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we are having s*x now but touching me while having lunch, I don't feel comfortable doing that. Especially not when we have company.
"Babe, stop sulking. Let's get to bed. I know what can make you feel better." He winks as he pulls me up, and I follow him. I was tensed but was glad that the meeting was a success but I was tired and needed to crash.
When I walk into his room, I smile. It’s exactly how he had explained it to me. Jonathan wraps his arms around me as he removes my clothes, slowly teasing me with his mouth.
Shaking my head, I step back. "Not here, Jonathan. Your dad is in the next room." That is just awkward.
He sighs and climbs into bed. "You know that I do not like the fact that you worry too much when it comes to s*x. Loosen up, babe!" His words shocks me but he laughs ignoring my reaction.
"Forget it. I am going to bed." He says as he rolls over grabbing a duvet.
Was he right? Maybe I do need to loosen up? But, I can't feel comfortable with him ramming into me so close to anyone especially his father. It just feels wrong to disrespect him like that. It’s enough that we stay on the same bed under his roof but f*ck*ng?
I turn to talk this out with him but I hear his snores. Cold night it is. I sighed as I straightened my body on the bed to sleep without a cover cloth as Jonathan had left none for me to use.
Cruel Prank
Waking up, I walk down. Damon turns and smiles at me.
"Morning Ray, Coffee?"
Nodding, I smile. "Yes please, Mr Darcy. Sorry, Damon. I didn't sleep too well." My sentence ends with a yawn as if my brain was trying to confirm my words.
"No problem. You can call me anyone till you are comfortable with calling me by my first name. Is my son keeping you awake?" He smiles at me.
"Not exactly. My mind wouldn't quiet down." It kept repeating Jonathan’s words over and over.
"Ah, well, hopefully you will sleep better tonight when you are back at your place." I nod at him and watch as Jonathan walks down.
"Morning pops. We best leave. Long drive ahead of us."
Jonathan says not even glancing at my side as he grabs his jacket.
"Okay, come spend time here more often, both of you!" Damon responds before proceeding to hug me.
"It was so nice to see you, Rainbow.” We say our goodbyes
