BLURB; "Look at me!" Anderson demanded sharply, forcefully dragging her face to gaze at him while his fingers roughly squeezed her chin. He watched in delight as she s*ck*d in her breath, her eyes starting to grow teary at his rough demeanor. "My precious doe. You are mine. You got married to me, and so you will always have my mark on your body and no other man's. Have I made myself clear?!" He demanded and she nodded, her tears starting to streak down her cheeks. ~. .~ Ashley West never imagined she'd be married off to a stranger, but when her sister's deception is uncovered by the man her sister was set to marry, she becomes the price for her family's freedom! Blindfolded and half-naked, Ashley undergoes a humiliating bridal inspection, only to discover later that the man she was handed over to is her sister's fiancé—and the heir to San Francisco's richest family, Anderson Williams! This was not what she wanted! Never had she dreamt of being married, at least, not to a man who was ready to break her every single day without any emotion on display. As Anderson takes possession of his new bride, Ashley is forced to navigate a world of luxury and power, where she's nothing more than a pawn in a dangerous game. Ashley was determined to find her way out, away from such a man! But as the weeks turned into months, Ashley discovers there was more to Anderson than his cold exterior suggests. Drawn to her husband's enigmatic nature, Ashley finds herself falling for the man she was forced to marry. Their relationship is far from easy though, as Ashley's sister and scheming mother-in-law threaten to tear them apart. Can Ashley and Anderson overcome their differences and build a real marriage, or will they be forever trapped in a game of manipulation and deceit??

Interesting story line & plot twist. Would’ve been helpful to have characters have distinctive names. Especially, secondary characters such as Claire and Clara who are introduced multiple chapters apart increasing readers confusion as to who exactly they are. Also, several grammar errors which refer to males as she and vice versa, females referred to as he-resolved with proof editing. Additionally, several times the newborn baby had unrealistic characterizations such being a few days old but described as sitting in high chairs to be fed. By definition a newborn is less than 28 days old. A chapter later, this newborn baby (few days old) was on the floor playing with building blocks and knocking them over. While I appreciate the attempt to add more depth to the character it is preposterous to think that a newborn could do this feat. Publisher must obviously either pay the author per the number of words in the book and/or encouraged the author to write multiple POV’s which, especially at the end, was very tedious and boring to read and detracted from the book.
