Opis
After spending twelve years loving Damien, Elena walks away and marries his billionaire rival, Nikolai, when Damien chooses his childhood sweetheart over her during a deadly shooting on their anniversary. But when Damien realizes too late that Elena was the woman he truly wanted, will she return to him,or choose the rival who never made her feel like a second choice?

There were many gaps in the story and the ending felt unfinished. Early in the story they flew to California but then they were back in New York, just one example of inconsistency. Why the story ended the way it did makes no sense. Also it seems like there was more than one author writing the book. The treatment of the bullet wound seemed excessive, weeks for a flesh wound to heal is not medically appropriate. Elena putting up with Damian for 12 years is a bit far-fetched. It made her seem stupid and gullible.
