Two outcasts. One prophecy. And a war that could end them all. Rejected by their families and haunted by past scars, Thomas and Clarissa are bound by more than pain; they may be the legendary pair foretold to save or destroy the werewolf world. As an unknown enemy rises, threatening to wipe out entire packs, a prophecy whispers of a silverback she-wolf and her elusive Golden mate, wielding power unlike any before. But is the legend real, or just a desperate myth? Will they succumb to pain or make way for healing? And if it is true… will they survive long enough to fulfill it?
Chapter 1: Leadership Summit.
Author's POV
The meeting hall was silent as the projector screen lit up, displaying images from recent reports delivered by the scouts of Riverline Pack.
"As you can all see, these attacks are becoming even more prevalent than before; two more packs have been wiped out completely", Norris Dennison explained after the viewing, he was the Alpha of the Riverline Pack and also one of the Alphas that called for the emergency summit.
"This does cause a reasonable call for alarm", Freddy Michaels, Alpha of the mountain pack, stated, casually stroking his bare chin.
"This is the fourth successive attack this month; I think it's safe to say this is more than a reasonable cause for alarm", Kelvin Martin, Alpha of the Dark Crescent Pack, growled, annoyed by the carefree attitude Alpha Freddy was displaying.
"Do we at least know who or what is wiping us out pack by pack?" Trevor Groover, Alpha of the Creakwood pack, asked, his gaze still fixed on the screen, analysing the images on display.
"Unfortunately, we do not; whoever these guys are, they are good at covering their tracks; they don't even leave behind a scent", Alpha Norris sighed.
"Let me guess, the bodies are found in strange unexplainable conditions?" Gilbert Monarch, Alpha of the Moonlight Pack asked.
"I'm afraid so, some were contorted in unnatural ways, some completely liquefied on the inside, and some were also found with strange burning claw marks all over them like their assailants had claws covered in flames, then there were those that were just simply dead, no signs of struggle, nothing was found to be wrong with them, I suspect they were killed with a powerful poison that doesn't leave a trace... least I forget, there were also those found to have died from diseases not predominant to this region" Alpha Norris explained.
"I don't think we are facing any ordinary foe, some of these things could be the work of witches but, to not leave a trace, not to mention the power they would need to cast spells that would produce some of these effects are just too powerful to be used this leisurely" Kirk Roland, Alpha of the Sun Pack stated.
"Let's not forget, witches have a scent even the weakest wolf in a pack could pick up, and their magic also leaves a trace", Denis Revel, Alpha of the wind pack, added.
"Which means it could be witches working alongside another race, maybe humans", Nelson Victor, Alpha of the Westville Pack, suggested.
"That's highly unlikely; hunters hate witches as much as they hate us, if not more", Alpha Trevor replied.
"But, what if they had a reason to hate us or perhaps fear us more than they do the witches?" Benjamin Hubert, Alpha of the Willow Pack, suggested.
"And what reason would that be, old man?" Alpha Freddy asked, taunting the older Alpha.
"Behave yourself, Freddy; this isn't a matter to be approached with a child's maturity", Alpha Kelvin warned.
"The song of the dance of day and night, the signs are already here" Alpha Hubert, as he was called, calmly replied.
"That's just a myth, isn't it?" Alpha Freddy asked, not joking around this time.
"There's a chance it is like Alpha Hubert said, the signs are here; rainbow after a lunar eclipse, seeing stars during the day, and the mysterious colour of the full moon from last night; all these things happened exactly the way the legend said they would and you know the saying"Alpha Norris replied.
"Once is a mistake, twice is a coincidence, three times, then a legend has come true," Alpha Nelson said.
"We are deviating from the main topic, regardless of whether or not the legend is true; it would be of no use to us if our unknown enemy or enemies slay us before we figure things out", Alpha Trevor stated.
"So what do you suggest we do?" Alpha Gilbert asked
"We need to support ourselves, form alliances with each other, one way or the other, we need to share strength; I know a lot of us here don't fully trust each other but, pending the time we ascertain what the current threat is, this is our best course of action" Alpha Trevor replied, looking across the room as the Alphas sized each other up.
"How do you suppose we go about that?" Alpha Trevor asked, leaning unto the table.
"There are three ways we could form alliances amongst ourselves; blood bond, having our children take each other as chosen mates, and signing contracts; seeing as how some of you don't trust each other, I'm guessing you won't be inclined to the third option" Alpha Trevor said, earning chuckles across the hall.
"All in favour, raise your right hand" Alpha Norris stated as he demonstrated. All the other Alphas did so, signifying their agreement with Alpha Trevor.
"Alright then, a list of each Alpha and their unmated children will be made and passed across to every one of you; if after the matchmaking, there are some without alliances, a blood bond will be adopted", Alpha Norris explained.
"Well then, í had better prepare for nine blood bonds, seeing as I don't have kids and all" Alpha Freddy chuckled.
"We could have you mated to one of our kids" Alpha Kelvin teased.
"Haha, very funny" Alpha Freddy replied with a sarcastic laugh.
"If there's nothing more to discuss, this meeting will be adjourned" Alpha Norris announced.
"You should all keep an eye out for the she-wolf and her Golden mate; if things get as bad as I think they will, we are going to need them", Alpha Hubert advised.
After arranging the required documents and confirming there were no more inputs, Alpha Norris adjourned the meeting and the Alphas left for their respective vehicles.
"You only put in one name on the list," Alpha Gilbert said to Alpha Trevor on their way out.
"I didn't see you inputting Clarissa's name" Alpha Trevor replied with a smirk.
The two soon burst into laughter as they continued joking on their way out, the two of them were amongst the most powerful Alphas in the Eastern District not to mention, very close friends.
"Truth be told, no Alpha will have their sons bonded to Clarissa; she still doesn't have her wolf", Alpha Gilbert sighed.
"Well, you still have Sienna and Josh, though Josh is still five, so just Sienna", Alpha Trevor said to encourage his friend.
"Yes, I wonder if your son would be looking to court her", Alpha Gilbert said with a wink.
"I don't see why not, how about this? You bring both your daughters over, and we will see if we can have them both sorted out," Alpha Trevor suggested with a smile.
"That's an excellent idea, hey, even if it's just Sienna, you can have Clarissa as a gift" Alpha Gilbert said with a hearty laugh.
"Alright, you can bring them over next week" Alpha Trevor replied with a smile.
"Next week, it is, by the way, how is he?" Alpha Gilbert asked.
"Nicholas is doing quite well; he's always making the family proud", Alpha Trevor replied.
"Nice. What about the other one?" Alpha Gilbert asked quietly.
"I couldn't care less" Alpha Trevor replied in a cold tone as he got into his car.

Chapter 2: And So It Begins
"The Story From The Lips Of Thomas. G."
I woke to the sound of omegas walking across the hallway as they prepared for their daily routines, their hush voices serving the usual purpose of being my wake-up call.
"Off to the library?" Helian, my wolf asked.
"Of course, where else can I enjoy my peace of mind?" I asked, wondering why he even asked.
Since it was still relatively early in the morning, I presumed I could sneak out of the house before anyone important woke up; I didn't feel like getting into a verbal tug-of-war with anyone.
After quickly going through my morning routine, I checked myself in the standing mirror, not that I cared about dressing to impress the girls or anything but, I would rather not be seen as lacking a fashion sense; the pendant around my neck sparkled under the morning light, it's the last and only surviving belonging of my mother, my father had everything else burned
