Octavia's POV:

I smiled faintly as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. Of all the she-wolves, he chose me to be his bride.

All my life, I have been addressed as the pack's useless and wolfless omega, but that didn't stop Elrod from loving me and choosing me above all the she-wolves who dreamt of becoming his.

I snapped out of my thoughts, trying not to picture how grand tomorrow would be. I would be getting married to the son of the pack's Beta and also the Senate president of the East province. And of course, it would be one of the grandest weddings in the province.

I changed into one of my favorite gowns, my mind already made up to visit Elrod. It's been three days since I saw him, and I am already missing him. His touch. His scent.

Our wedding will be tomorrow, but I just can't wait to have his mark on me, showing off to the whole pack and all of the East province that I belong to Elrod Steele!

I took my bag and left my room. Everyone was so busy talking about my wedding that no one noticed I walked out of the living room.

I got into my car before driving off to my fiancé’s house. Thanks to my wealthy father, I am able to live a comfortable life even though I am a wolfless omega.

Due to the traffic, I arrived at Elrod’s house late, the clouds already gathering. I am supposed to go back home, but the urge to be in Elrod’s arms was much stronger than the feeling of what is right and wrong.

I pulled over in front of his apartment before entering the living room. It was unusually quiet. Maybe he is preparing for our wedding or probably in his study room.

I headed to his study room, my heels clicking loudly, my heart almost exploding in excitement. Everything seems like a fantasy to me—having my dream man as my mate, getting loved and cherished by him, getting married…

“Oh, yes, like that.”

A familiar female voice coming from his bedroom, the room by my side, distracted me from my thoughts. I made a turn, not wanting to believe what that means.

Maybe it is part of our wedding preparation.

But that was wrong. My belief turned out to be false, the presence of Elrod deeply inside my twin sister greeted me.

I am dreaming, right? I cleaned my face with my palm, closed my eyes and opened it, but it wasn't a dream. It was really happening and right in front of me—my fiancé deeply thrusting into my twin sister, the slamming sound of their skin filling my ears, breaking my heart into pieces.

They were so engrossed in the act that none of them noticed me, who stood there like a statue, watching them as if I was watching some sort of porno.

At first, my brain refused to react, tears streaming down at the unbelievable presence which greeted me.

“Are you really going to marry that dumb sister of mine?” My sister's voice echoed, sweet and melodious, sounding like a poison to my heart.

“I have no choice. My father clearly said I need Octavia to be able to run for the presidential race next year,” Elrod's voice echoed, each word digging deep into my heart and ripping it into a thousand pieces.

“Don’t worry, I would divorce her after I become the president,” Elrod added, making the tight grip against my bag release, causing a loud thud against the floor.

The both of them turned to face me, fear reflected on my twin sister's face. I might not be the pretty and sweet angel she was, but I am the crazy she-wolf no one wants to offend.

“You? Aren't you supposed to be at home and preparing for our wedding?” His shameless words hit me like a slap.

So this is all he has to say after catching him with my sister? Unbelievable.

“Elrod, I f*ck*ng trusted you! I can't believe you would stoop so low to cheat on me with my sister of all people!” I yelled, anger burning through me, but not as much as I am broken.

My eyes stung from the tears clustered in my eyes, refusing to let them down, at least not in front of the people who betrayed me. I trusted and loved them the most.

I could give up anything… no, I have always given up everything for her and made sure I was the best sister anyone could ask for—so this is my payback for all that? And Elrod, I gave up my master certificate just for him!

“You are overreacting, Octavia,” his calm and angelic voice echoed as if this was nothing. As if I was supposed to smile at them and pretend all this didn't happen. “It is just f*ck*ng s*x! I didn't claim her. I was going to marry you, make bab—”

“Oh, shut it!” I balled my fist before interrupting him. “You f*ck*ng piece of sh*t, you dare talk about marriage when I heard how your sole reason for marrying me was to win the presidential race against your uncle?” I sneered.

He burst into laughter at my words, making my chest tighten. “If you know that, what can you do about it? Do you think anyone would want to spend a lifetime with a foolish and wolfless omega? Think wise and accept this as your d*mn fate!”

“Yes, Octavia. This is just s*x, and he might fall for you after getting married, you know stuff like that does happen,” my twin sister, Olivia, spoke sweetly, acting like nothing she did was wrong.

It has always been this way. I am the ugliest, the weakest, the craziest. She has all the best characteristics, while I am her opposite.

Unable to buckle my anger, especially watching Olivia talk sh*t to me, I walked up to her before slapping her.

“How dare you slap my woman?” Elrod growled before walking up to me.

He pulled my grip away from Olivia's hair, slapping me. The pain from the slap made me fall weakly to the ground.

“I think you are doing all this sh*t because I am being lenient with you,” anger evident on his face, he muttered. “I, Elrod Steele of Rising Moonstar pack, reject you, Octavia Hill, as my mate!” His words made a sharp pain hit me. “Accept this rejection or walk out of here as a corpse!”

Knowing Elrod would never say what he didn't mean, I was left with no choice but to mutter the words I didn't expect to say on a day like this, a day before our wedding.

“I accept your rejection, Elrod Steele of Rising Moonstar pack.”

Octavia POV:

I have heard a lot of pain that occurs to she-wolves after being rejected, never have I thought of experiencing such pain.

I clutched my chest, tears streaming down my eyes as pain washed over me. My throat tightened, making it hard for me to breathe.

I raised my gaze to look at Elrod, hoping he would help me out, but no, he didn't. He continued with what he was doing, banging my sister in front of me, their moans wrecking me, making a joke of myself.

What the hell was I expecting? I was a fool for having such a grand dream. This marriage was initially a business deal between the Senate president and my father until I found out Elrod was my mate. I fell for him like a fool, not realizing an omega like me can never have such a colorful life.

“If you don't want to leave, you can stay and watch us; this would probably be you tomorrow,” Elrod muttered, referring those words to me.
