Chapter 1 : MY LITTLE INTRODUCTION
"My name is Aliana. I'm 20 years old, and I'm a princess. Where we come from, if the youngest son becomes an Alpha, the eldest son is supposed to bow to the youngest son to prove that he is now the eldest and that he has accepted him as his Alpha. My dad, even though he is kind, was too proud to bow to my uncle, so he left the pack to avoid any conflict.
That's when he met my mum, his mate; she was a rogue then. They both fell in love, and they got married. That was when my dad got an idea. He somehow managed to take over a fallen pack full of rogues. He trained them into normal werewolves. It wasn't his intention to become a king, but the pack loved him. He treats people like family and accepts those in danger, protecting them, so they made him their king, since it was a crime to claim an Alpha when you weren't chosen.
Fifteen years later, the pack grew larger and stronger. Neighboring packs tried to take over, but they couldn't because our pack was much stronger than a million packs together. My uncle heard about it; he felt my dad was building an army against him. Alarmed because my dad was bigger, smarter, and stronger, my uncle decided to wage war against us.
As if my dad expected the attack, he moved the pack members to the southern part of the pack, the most secure place, and appointed strong soldiers to protect it.
After months of war, my uncle finally stopped. He visited our pack with a proposal: either my dad bow to him to prove he holds no bad intentions, or he should give him his only child, which meant me. Knowing my dad, he wouldn't do either. My mom was already worried, and in order to stop the war from happening again, my stupid little self interrupted the meeting by agreeing to go with my uncle. My dad was furious, but my mom somehow convinced him to let me go, saying it was best for me.
Actually, before my mother became a rogue, she was the high priestess of her pack, which granted her divine powers to fulfill any wish of the members on a full moon. Girls with divine powers are said to be the moon goddess's favorite. She was the main reason her pack was attacked.
Fast forward, I was born with the tattoo that indicates I'm the next high priestess. My mom blocked the energy flow so I can't access my divine powers. She believed if I stayed away from her for a while, it would be better for me because she still possesses the divine power and can't block hers. That was how I left my pack at 15.
Upon arrival, I thought my uncle would make my life hell. taking his brother's only child without thinking twice confirmed that he's heartless. I kept staring at my uncle as he grinned, thinking he had my dad under his paw, but he doesn't know that my dad is actually smarter.
He made sure he hid Eric from the world because he knew that if my uncle found out, he would want to take both of us. I sighed as I remembered my big brother . he just transformed, and his wolf is wild, so he's been locked in a secret room until he calms down. After ten hours of travel, we reached Silverwood Pack, my uncle's pack. The pack wasn't as magnificent as ours. Thinking I would be treated as a slave, my uncle shocked me by ordering them to treat me as a princess. Even the Luna treated me like her own daughter... So he has a heart after all, I thought.
Five years later...
"Aliana! Aren't you ready yet? Mom asked me to tell you not to play any tricks," Avery yelled at me.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I regretted the day I agreed to follow my uncle. "Tell her I'll be down in a minute," I replied dully.
"Okay," Avery said and ran downstairs to relay my reply.
A year ago, there was a party for all Alphas and their families. My uncle bought a dress for me and told me I would be going with him. I found out about Avery six months after my arrival and wondered why my uncle only took me and Ethan, his first son, to the party. I felt suspicious because I was treated as the Alpha's daughter. I heard my aunt continuously telling her co-Lunas that I'm her daughter. I felt confused. I wanted to know what was going on.
That night, I went to my aunt's room. I wanted to know why she told people I was her daughter. I didn't have to ask her again because I heard her comforting her daughter not to be jealous.
Apparently, my uncle sought an alliance four years ago to help him when his pack was almost besieged. In exchange, his daughter must be given to their son as a bride. I found it weird. Later, I found out that the Alpha's son was cursed not to have a mate because he killed his mate .
I finally understood why my uncle added my being taken to his condition. He didn't want his daughter to marry the heartless and cursed Alpha's son. That's why they hid her from the world, just like how my dad hid my brother.
The pack members knew the Alpha had a daughter, but they've never seen her before, so it was easy. Besides, my dad is not the sociable type, so he wouldn't find out unless I mind-linked him, which I couldn't because I haven't transformed yet.
I let my violet hair down , painted my lips with a not-too-shiny red color to complement my white gown and violet hair. I put on my favorite floral scent perfume and took one more look at myself. I was ready.
I majestically walked down the stairs. Rosella, my aunt, had a wide smile on her face. People would think she was sincerely happy for me, but I knew how fake that smile was.
"You're beautiful, my dear," Rosella complimented, kissing my left cheek. I mentally rolled my eyes and returned her fake smile with a stiff one.
"You look good, Aliana," Avery complimented with a look. I knew my aunt mind-linked her to do that.
"Princess Aliana," I corrected with a firm voice.
"You both are sisters. Calling you by your name shouldn't be a problem," my uncle, who was just descending from the stairs, said.
I had a firm expression. "I'd prefer she calls me that, not by my name."
Rosella felt irritated by my reply. She lifted her hand, wanting to slap me.
"Try it if you want me to tell the Luna of the Arsin Pack that I'm not your real daughter," I glared at her.
Rosella was taken aback by my cold voice. "How dare you speak to your Luna like that!" Rosella yelled
"The last time I remembered, my dad never bowed to you nor your husband, so you're not my Luna," I retorted.
"That's enough," the Alpha, my uncle, commanded.
"I'll be waiting outside," I said and left their presence.
"Arghh," the Luna yelled.
"Will you calm down? You're getting on her nerves. If she tells the Luna that she's not our biological daughter, we don't know what would become of our daughter," the Alpha advised.
As we stepped onto the grounds of the Arsin Pack, I couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding wash over me. The journey had been long and arduous. I maintained a stoic expression, my features betraying none of the exhaustion that gnawed at my bones.
Beside me, my uncle and aunt exchanged quiet words, their voices hushed as they discussed their next steps.
The Luna of the Arsin Pack, a woman of commanding presence, greeted us with a nod, her keen eyes assessing me with a critical gaze. I met her gaze head-on, refusing to be intimidated by the woman's imposing demeanor. With a satisfied nod, the Luna seemed to approve of my appearance. I possessed a unique beauty a round face with doe-shaped eyes, framed by cute lips that held a hint of defiance. My black eyes sparkled with an inner fire, framed by a complexion that was neither too pale nor too dark. Standing at a moderate height, with locks of violet hair cascading down my shoulders, I exuded an air of quiet confidence that belied my tender age.
Inside the Alpha's mansion, the family gathered for dinner, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of candlelight. Conversation flowed as they enjoyed their meal, but the atmosphere shifted when William and his wife, Rhoda, burst into the room unannounced. "
What is the meaning of this, William?" the Alpha thundered, his voice echoing through the hall.
William, standing tall and resolute, squared his shoulders as he addressed his parents. "Father, Mother, I have news," he began, his voice steady.
The Alpha and Luna exchanged puzzled glances, their curiosity piqued by William's serious demeanor.
" This is Rhoda, my wife " William announced, his words hanging heavy in the air. Gasps of surprise echoed through the room as the revelation sank in.
The Alpha's expression darkened, his anger simmering just beneath the surface.
"You're married?" the Luna exclaimed, her voice tinged with disbelief.
William nodded, his jaw set in determination. "Yes, Mother. I no longer require a wife," he stated firmly, his gaze unwavering.
The Queen regarded her son with a mix of shock and suspicion. Through a mind link, she probed deeper, her thoughts reaching out to him with a sense of urgency. "What about your curse, William?" she inquired silently, her tone grave.
At the mention of his curse, William's expression remained unchanged, his mind free from guilt or regret. "It doesn't matter! She loves me, and I love her," his response echoing in her mind like a whispered confession.
I watched the exchange in silence, my expression unreadable. Deep down, I hoped that the marriage deal would be off.
Beside William, his wife Rhoda sat with her hands trembling. She appeared fragile and vulnerable, her eyes downcast as if she were afraid to meet anyone's gaze. Despite the tension in the room, I continued to eat my food, pretending as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
Sensing the tension in the air, my uncle spoke up, his voice tinged with resignation. "Well, this is certainly a surprise! Perhaps it's for the best," he offered with a playful wink, trying to lighten the mood. "Aliana can become William's second wife. It's... it's safer this way."
My heart fluttered at my uncle's attempt at humor, but I couldn't help but smile at his antics. I knew how petty he was. He would do anything to assure his daughter's happiness.
"I chose your daughter for my son. So the marriage still stands," Duncan, the Alpha, declared. Emily, the Luna, nodded in agreement, which made William frown at his mother and Rhoda bite her lower lip in jealousy.
I could feel the weight of their decision pressing down on me, but I maintained my composure, determined not to show any weakness. The room was thick with tension, but I knew this battle was far from over.
Chapter 2 : Finding A Mate I
As the days passed in a blur of activity, Aliana found herself swept up in a whirlwind of wedding preparations. From dawn until dusk, she was kept busy with dress fittings, floral arrangements, and endless rehearsals.
Each day seemed to blend into the next, leaving her feeling drained and exhausted. The mornings began early, with Aliana rising before the sun to start her day. She would spend hours poring over fabric samples and design sketches, trying to find the perfect gown for the occasion.
Her aunt and the Luna hovered nearby, offering their opinions and advice at every turn. By midday, the seamstresses would arrive, armed with needles and thread, ready to bring the Luna's vision to life. Hours would pass in a blur as they worked tirelessly to create the intricate patterns and delicate embellishments that adorned her dress.
Meanwhile, the rest of the household bustled about, making final preparations for the upcoming wedding. Servants scurried to and fro, layin
