She planned on leaving the pack and moving to the human territory. On her eighteenth birthday she finds out that the future Alpha of the pack, Blake is her mate. He doesn't hesitate to kick her, her mom and her little sister out of the pack. They end up stumbling onto the Eclipse Pack territory while running from rogues. They thought they were going to be killed, but luckily for them, the pack welcomed them with open arms. Nevaeh and her mom are finally happy in their new pack. What happens if after six months of living in peace, Blake finds her and wants to claim her as his. Will she give him another chance or is it too late for him to redeem himself?
Chapter 1
Nevaeh's Point of View
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. It was seven in the morning and I needed to get ready for school. Before I could get out of bed my door opened and my four year old little sister, Lilly, ran inside and jumped on my bed.
"Happy Birthday, sissy," My sister said
"Thanks Lil," I replied. My mom, Tina walked inside the room and smiled
"Happy Birthday, Nevaeh," My mom said happily
"Thanks, mom," I replied
"You must be happy. You are eighteen now and almost finished with high school. Not only that but now you can find your mate," My mom said.
"Um, I am happy to be eighteen but not because I can find my mate. You know I don't want a mate," I said and my mom frowned
"Well, you should want a mate. They will make you happy," My mom said. I didn't understand why my mom was so happy about me being able to find my mate. My dad rejected my mom after she had Lilly. He was a warrior, a high rank Pack Member from another pack and he felt my mom was too weak to be his mate. He was embarrassed that an omega was his rank./. Omega's are the lowest ranked members of a pack. So, right after she gave birth to me he rejected her in the pack hospital. That was the last time she had seen him.
I have never met my dad, and honestly, I don't want to meet him. He is the reason I don't want a mate. What he did to my mom proves to me that mates are not as good as everyone makes them out to be. Your mate is supposed to be the other half of your soul. They are supposed to love you unconditionally. The two of you are supposed to be perfect for each other and only want each other once they meet but that is not the case. I know because of what happened to my mom.
One thing I do know is that my dad was wrong. My mom is far from weak. I know this because she survived his rejection when most wouldn't be able too. My dad rejected my mom right after she had me. Most wouldn't have been strong enough to survive something like that but my mom did. Not only did she survive but she got better and took care of me the best she could.
"I need to get ready for school," I said not wanting to argue with her about mates. I knew that she would talk my head off about how important mates were if I let her.
"Okay, I need to get Lilly ready for daycare as well," My mom said and she walked out of my room. I walked to the bathroom to shower. I turned the shower and just as always the water is cold. Alpha Thomas said that Omega's don't deserve hot water
Let me introduce myself. My name is Nevaeh Grey, and as you know, it's my eighteenth birthday. I am five foot three, have light brown skin, and have long black hair. I have an hourglass body and green eyes. My family and I are omegas. Omega's are the lower rank wolves. Just like every other lower-rank wolf, we live on the bad side of town. Our houses are run down; we don't have hot water or anything else the higher rank wolves have. We have a different school from the higher ranked wolves, and we are not allowed in the packhouse.
All I want to do is get my sister and my mom out of this pack. We don't have any family because my mom was left at the pack border when she was a pup. That is why they call her an omega because she was left and no one knows who her family is. All I want to do is get my family out of the Silvermoon Pack. We would be better off living on the human territory. At least we would have a chance to live a good life.
After my quick shower, I put on some torn up jeans and a light blue T-shirt. Once I was dressed I brushed my teeth and combed my hair out. I put my hair in a high ponytail and left the bathroom to put on my shoes and get my bag.
"When you get home, I want to have a nice family dinner," My mom said while I was sitting at the table eating cereal.
"I have to work at the Silvermoon Diner after school," I said
"What time do you get off?" My mom asked
"Nine," I replied
"Okay, dinner will be ready then," My mom said. We went to my moms old Nissan and left for school. My mom
"Have a good day," my mom said
"you too," I replied and I got out of the car and headed into the school.
As I walked inside, people were making jokes about me.
"Look at her hair.""She is such a loser," I heard the other Omega's saying. I just ignored them. You would think that they would treat me kindly, but they didn't. I had no friends at the school or anywhere else in the pack.
"It's about time you showed up to work. Hurry up and clock in," Joe, the owner of the Eclipse Pack, said. You would think I was late, but in reality, I was twenty-five minutes early. I did as he said not wanting to get fired and started taking orders.
It was a busy day, and by the time eight o'clock came, people were still coming in.
I walked up to a table where the future Beta and Gamma were sitting with their friends.
"It's about time someone came to take our order. Oh, look at you. You look nice," the future Beta Braiden said
"Leave her alone, Braiden. She is doing her job," The future Gamma Travis replied
"Do you know what you would like to drink?" I asked, and they all told me their orders. I went to get their drinks, and when I came back, I smelled the most intoxicating scent I have ever smelled. I looked up and dropped my drinks when I saw who was standing there. Blake, the Future Alpha of the Pack. I was more shocked when a voice inside of me said the four letter word I never wanted to hear.
"Mate!"
Chapter 2
Nevaeh's Point of View
"Mate!" I said, and everyone looked at me. Blake looked at me with a shocked expression on his face. I knew he was shocked that we were mates. I was hoping that he would accept me but I was wrong. He startled me by laughing. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. I mean, I was an Omega and he was the future Alpha. I should have known he would never accept me.
"Your Mate. Me! You have got to be kidding. I can't believe you are so desperate that you would say I am your mate. You are nothing but a weak omega. You are beneath me no matter than a piece of gum that was stuck on the bottom of my shoe," Blake said, and everyone started laughing.
"I can't believe she would make that up."
"She is so pathetic."
"There is no way the Moon Goddess would make a weak omega the soon to be Alpha's mate. She is so desperate."
Suddenly, someone pushed me from behind, causing me to fall to the ground. I looked up to see Courtney standin
