Prologue
The night was cold and quiet, but a ten-year old princess ran as fast as her legs could carry her.
Her silver nightwear was torn and covered in mud and blood. Her body was covered in mud and bruise and her tiny bare feet pounded the damp earth, but she didn’t care. She darted through the thick bush like a frightened deer.
Her name was Aria, daughter of Alpha Rydan and Luna Selena of Crescent Fang Pack Earlier that night, when the pack was asleep, guards still patrolled around the pack especially near the royals.
The guards stationed at Aria’s room were mysteriously unconscious which gave hooded figures access to her room. She woke up in the arms of strange men outside the pack. The chill wind blowing past her.
He had the scent of ashen musk which was a common smell to rogues but she could smell another fragrance on him- Crimson Oak. Confused and scared, she kicked, screamed and bit the man carrying her so hard which gave her the opportunity to escape.
“Argh!” The man she had bitten screamed but she didn’t care as she ran for her dear life.
“Find her! She couldn’t have gone far." She heard the rough loud commanding voice of her pursuer.
"There are also rogues- cruel, lawless wolves who don’t belong to any pack. Most of them would do anything to get power." She remembered her mother’s words.
She now understood why they were chasing her. She was the heir and they wanted her dead.
The wood was dark and the trees stood tall and terrifying out to the moon which illuminated a little light, just enough to find her way.
Aria kept trying through the woods, her small hand pushing past thorny branches which kept inflicting cuts, pains and scratches on her. She could hear the growls and heavy steps of the rogues behind her. They were closing in on her.
"Father, mother, where are you?" she whimpered, breathing hard as her vision blurred due to the tears glistering in her eyes.
Suddenly, her feet got caught on a toot and she tripped falling face flat in the damp earth.
"Ouch," she sobbed.
"Over here" One of the rogues yelled pointing towards her, their snarls echoing through to trees.
Aria gritted her teeth, standing up abruptly, dashing through a thick line of trees. She continued to push through bushes, jump over roots. Her heartbeat faster and her legs were just as tired as she was.
As she kept running, she found herself at the edge of a slope and before she could stop herself, she slipped and fell. Her body hit the ground with a loud thud as she rolled past twigs and rocks.
Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. A cold mist surrounded her for a brief moment. She didn't know what it was but she had unknowingly crossed the ancient boundary, the invisible line that separated the world of werewolves from the human world.
She could no longer feel the pack bond. She rolled a few more times till her head slammed against a rock.
The rogues stood at the top of the slope, seconds later. They knew instantly that she had fallen.
"She crossed the boundary." One of them growled in anger.
"Crossing the boundary is forbidden unless authorized by an Alpha." Another one said "we might be rogues but crossing the boundary means we will lose our wolf powers."
"She probably hit her head on a stone, so she doesn't stand a chance anymore." "Let's head back." the leader said and with that they all left.
At the bottom of the hill, Aria laid still. Her body was badly covered in bruises. Her head was bleeding as a result of the fall. Her eyes remained closed.
At that moment, a soft golden light shone on her shoulder - a wolf drawn in the form of a crescent. The mark shone brightly once more before starting to fade and dim.

It was evening in the human world, the air was chilly, the wind rustled the leaves gently. A woman on her way home, suddenly stopped in front of a sloped hill, her eyes locking onto a lifeless figure they laid beside a rock, slightly buried in bushes and shrubs.
She moved closer and closer, till the full body of the unconscious girl who laid motionlessly on the damp grass came to view.
It was Aria. Her clothes were torn and her now pale body was covered with dirt, bruises and blood.
"Poor thing" the woman muttered. She took the already cold hands of the girl, carefully holding her wrist to check her pulse for any sign of life.
"Thankfully, she is still alive!" She murmured softly. Without hesitation she scooped the girl into her arms walking the remaining distance to her house.
Inside her house she laid Aria on a soft mattress in a warm room. She wiped the dirt off her body with a towel, then began dressing her wound.
After she was done, she grabbed a clean nightdress from the granddaughter's drawer and slipped it on her frail frame. She then wrapped a thick blanket around her.
From her door, a girl peeked into the room, her gaze landing on the mysterious visitor covered in awful bruises.
"Grandma, who is she?" the girl asked. The woman stared at her granddaughter.
"Just a girl who needs us." She replied. Her gaze moved back to Aria who laid peacefully on the bed.
"She isn't someone from our world." She muttered inaudibly.

At a distant quiet cottage, that stood somewhere between the world of wolves and that of the humans, a seer sat cross-legged on a worn out rug.
The dimly lit room is filled with ancient scrolls and flickering candles. The seer eyes were closed but her mind was wide awake.
She held a brown beaded bracelet in her hands, its surface smooth. Slowly, her fingers moved across each bead, one after the other. The candles began to flicker even more and blood began to trail down her eyes.
By the time she reached the last bead, her lips parted. "There is a new seer." She whispered to no one.
Almost immediately, her eyes snapped open."The ancient power of lunar convergence is awakened.”
Chapter 1
The night pressed heavy on Green Haven. The moon hung full, illuminating the quiet town.
As a gentle breeze blew, a soft humming like- a lullaby whispered filled Hailey's dream.
Hailey ran.
She couldn't see when she was going, she didn't know what was chasing her, but she ran. Her ten-year- old self ran past bushes, twigs and tall, scary trees.
Her small bare feet ponded the damp earth, heart pounding like a drum inside her chest. She dashed through the thick line of trees, till she got to a sloped hill.
"Ahh!!!" She screamed as she hit the ground with a loud thud, rolling down the hill. Hailey jolted upright, sweat covered her forehead, dampening the strands of hair that had fallen across her face.
For a moment, she couldn't breathe, her chest rising and falling with shallow, raspy breath.
"Hailey! Would you get your lazy *ss up from the bed?" Riley shouted from the kitchen.
"I'm coming," She groaned, heading to the bathroom.
