Alpha King's Redemption

~AIDEN ~

“Wake up Aiden, we need to get ready. The Alpha King will be here very soon.” My twin brother, Caden, tries to wake me up for the umpteenth time. For goodness sake why won't he leave me alone. The coming of the Alpha King has nothing to do with me. It's not like my presence will do any good to him. The last time I checked, I was the weakest among my father's children. No one will want my presence or opinion on any occasion. Also, I hate the said Alpha King. Don't ask me why I hate him because I don't know. Maybe it's because he feels too powerful and acts like god on earth. 

My parents told me that he saved me from being eaten by a wild beast when I was a child. Well, I can't remember that. The only thing I can remember is meeting him four years ago. His face was stoic, he called me weak for not wielding a sword. He then purposely put a duel between me and his pack member that is five times stronger than me. I was beaten and embarrassed in front of many people. From that day, I had hated him.

“If you don't wake up Aiden, I will call Sasha.” By the mention of her name, I quickly sprang up from the bed, and mistakenly hit my butt on the floor. 

Ouch!! That's the same butt I'm f*ck*ng saving from my sister. The only thing I fear most in this world is my elder sister's mop stick. Caden laughs out loud seeing the way I hit my butt on the floor. I glare at him.

“Get the f*ck out of my room!” I feign anger.

“Unfortunately, this is also my room. You are stuck with me.” He sticks out his tongue at me as he walks towards the closet. 

Sometimes I wonder if this is the strong, fearless Caden that everyone in the pack knows. Well, he tends to only show his childish side in front of me. In front of others, he always wears a strong expressionless face. Even though we are not identical twins, we still have a deep connection between us. And even though there are lots of rooms in the pack house, we still want to share a room. 

I lazily drag my feet towards the bathroom. I take a lazy bath and when I walk out, Caden is gone. Dad must have called him. Caden is always busy. Since he's going to take after dad, he is involved in most of the pack's affairs. I never cared about the pack affairs or have interest in becoming the Alpha though I came out first before Caden. I find that responsibility boring. 

Caden and I are twins but totally opposite. He's strong, fearless and has the mind of a leader. While I'm weak and doesn't give a f*ck about responsibilities. He's more built, a little bit taller than me and has always been protecting me since we were kids. I love him so much but we are definitely cats and dogs.

I was born weak. My wolf is weak, not like the usual wolf of an Alpha born. My parents have sought to know why my wolf is weak though it has an Alpha blood, but they couldn't find any answer. I have been fragile since I was a child, and my family has been overly protective of me. To this day, my parents still treat me like a child. It's getting annoying. I will be eighteen soon and I can take pretty care of myself. I no longer hide in my brother's shadow like when we were little. Though my wolf is weak, that doesn't mean that I can't handle myself. But my family can't see that….. they are a pain in my *ss. Don't get me wrong, I love my family so much and they love me more. I am so lucky to have them as my family. I believe that I'm the luckiest guy on earth. 

I put on a pair of jeans and a gray t-shirt and make my way downstairs. 

“Aiden, come on here my baby.” Mum gestures to me towards the sitting room. I can't see Caden and my dad. My sister is busy talking with a maid. I can feel tension in the air. Why the f*ck are they acting as if we are expecting a god into our home. 

I walk over to the sitting room, and my mum gives me a kiss on the forehead. “I hope you slept well, honey.” 

I just nod as I sit down on the couch. Don't talk about the kiss on the forehead because that's what my mum won't stop doing even if I grow old. 

“The Alpha King has arrived. Your dad and Caden have gone to welcome him,” she says while her eyes flicker to the door. She looks anxious. 

“Whatever.” I mutter under my breath. I don't give a f*ck about the Alpha King. I don't know why everyone fears him. It's not like he's a god.

“He's here.” I hear my sister say as she dismisses the maid she is talking to. She is the one handling most of the arrangement to make sure the Alpha King feels at home when he arrives. My mum stands up with a smile while my eyes flicker towards the door. Caden is the first to walk in before dad and the Alpha King.

Dad is walking beside the Alpha King. He has a smile on his face but the Alpha King has a blank stoic expression. My breath hitches as I stare at him. One thing I didn't mention is how breathtakingly handsome this man is. And his aura is insane. He has a very strong, dominating aura. Probably this is why everyone fears him. He's tall, broad and scary. That look on his face is not welcoming at all, rather it will make you run for your dear life. 

My sister glares at me to stand on my feet and welcome the Alpha King. I roll my eyes as I lazily stand up.

“Welcome, Alpha Killian,” my mum says with her most beautiful smile, but the *ssh*l* just nods without even returning the smile. Does this man ever smile at all? He always has a strong deadly expression that can make someone shiver in fear. I'm not an *ssh*l*. So I will admit that he's handsome as f*ck.

My mum and sister prepared a feast instead of breakfast. They won't even allow the maids to do the cooking. My mum said that she doesn't want any mistake done. 

“We prepared different delicacies, we don't know your preference,” My mum says as she instructs the maid to serve the Alpha King. I can see the fear in the maid's eyes as she serves him. What this man's aura can do. 

I don't realize that I'm staring at him. I thought I'm pitying the poor maid who look like she will wet her dress. I know that he's handsome, but why is he suddenly so breathtaking. He looks three times more handsome than the last time I saw him. Without knowing it, I start to check him out. His dark brown hair compliments his pitch black eyes which are cold and empty. His hair looks soft and silky. I feel like running my fingers through it.  His jawline looks sharp and strong. And his red lips which look rather dark are so f*ck*ng tempting. Maybe he smokes a lot. I
