Chapter 1 Meeting The Alpha
Daisy Pov
The sun hung low as I alighted from the Airplane. The cool fresh air blew on my face and I closed my eyes as I inhaled the air. Ah... The breeze felt refreshing. The air crackled with an electrifying tension as if the state of Arizona sensed the impending disruption my presence was about to cause.
My legs moved silently, leaving no trace of my presence, a skill honed during years of self-imposed exile. Then it struck me. My kids!!
“Come Babies.” I urged my quadruplets. Jason, James, Janice and Juniper. The five year olds stared at me with their deep coloured eyes. Janice and Jason had inherited the color of my eyes, deep blue. But James and Juniper had inherited the color of their Father's eyes, a very deep green. Eyes that I haven't looked into. A face that I have no idea of.
You wonder how I got into such a situation where I didn't know who the father of my kids was? Well that's how complicated my world is. The World of the Abandoned Alpha Daughter, Daisy Winans. A story for another day.
Five years down the lane, I am 26 years old now with children. That resulted from the one night stand of 5 years ago. I sighed in slight bliss as I hovered around my kids.
“Mummy, are we gonna see Uncle Nathan?” Janice asked and I nodded.
“Yes Baby. Uncle Nathan would be extremely glad to see all of you.” I said as I rubbed her hair.
We were back to the pack for the treatment of my mother. I sighed sadly.
Her health has been declining after I left the pack but now it has worsened and father refused to pay for her treatment.
My plan is simple. Treat my mother until she gets better, avoid my ex husband at all cost and finally focus on the company mother left in my name.
I stood on the side road with my kids waiting for the driver to come pick us up.
“Mrs, Daisy?” A car pulled before me, whining down the window.
“Yes,” I nod.
“Ms. Stella asked me to come pick you up.”
I checked the picture my secretary sent me and confirmed it was the same person.
Together with my kids, we entered the car.
“Mummy, are we going to see grandma today?” Jason asked as the driver drove us off.
“No,”
“Why? I want to see grandma.” He crumbled.
“Me too.” Janice added.
I don't want to tell them how sick my mother is, not yet.
“It's late already. You'll see grandma once we settle down.”
“When, Mommy?”
“Very soon.”
A few minutes later, I looked through the window and noticed that the driver pulled in front of a familiar hotel, but it looks quite different from what it was five years ago.
Bails rose to my chest as I remembered all that happened to me here last year. The humiliation from the press when I was caught coming out from the hotel room after having a one night stand with a stranger.
This place holds lots of sad memories. Though it was five years ago it felt like it happened yesterday.
My life is complicated. Precisely my past is sad and complicated.
I dialed my secretary’s number.
“Why did you book my hotel here?” I snapped the moment she picked.
“I'm sorry ma. All the hotels are booked, this is the only available one.”
I sighed in frustration.
“First thing tomorrow morning I will be checking out. Find me another place.”
I cut the call and stepped out.
Memories of flash cameras, crowds and my bitchy friend, Sophia flooded my mind as I remembered how she had accused me of cheating when she was the one who betrayed me by sleeping with my husband.
“Mummy,” I snapped my eyes open when one of my kids' tiny hands wrapped around my pinky finger.
“Are you okay?”
I hate to make my kids worry about me.
“Perfectly fine. Let's go in.” I flash them a smile, following behind.
Though this place is filled with sad memories, the fact that it gave me my beautiful little kids should help ease the pain till I leave tomorrow.
After tucking the kids to sleep I decided to take a look around.
Fresh air hit my face as I strolled down the hallway. The hotel is quite different from five years ago. There's more light, the walls are repainted and it's more crowded compared to then.
I booked the hotel on my anniversary with my ex then because of how quiet the place is. A day that turned soar and…
“Ah—” I winced in pain when my shoulder hit something hard.
The person swept past me immediately as if he didn't just hit a person and something about his scent felt familiar….
“Are you crazy?” I yelled at him but he didn't turn to look at me.
Angered by his nonchalant attitude, I ran after him and yanked him back. The moment he faced me, I gave him a hard slap across the cheeks.
He stared at me with his deep amber eyes that resembled two of my kids. His tall dominating figure covered me.
The people around us gasped and I glared at him. He had an assistant beside him. He seemed like an important entity, but I didn't care at this point. All I wanted was to show him that he couldn't hit just anybody and go scot free.
“Did you just slap me?” He asked, his voice dripping with coolness and intense authority, so towering and immense that I flinched slightly. But I wasn't going to let him.
He has an Alpha aura and I wonder which pack he is from among the seven packs in Arizona.
I stepped in front of him and stood with my hands akimbo. “And I'll do it again, you silly rude b*st*rd!” I said boldly. I stared deep into his eyes and almost got lost in their seemingly familiarity.
His scent, his deep green eyes. All seemed Familiar.
Where do I know this man from?
“Alpha, we have to leave. Madam is waiting for you.” One of the men in suits reminded him.
The man gave me a long stern then whispered.
“You'll pay for this!”
His voice was deep, threatening and dominating.
Chapter 2
Daisy POV
Today I opted for a black body hug gown that gave me a sharp edge. My dark blonde hair is parked in an elegant bun. My makeup isn't much, but the little touches on my face make me look pretty younger than my age.
As I stared at the mirror, the images of my mother lying weak in the hospital bed flashed through my mind, surging out a new provocative anger in me towards my father.
I'm going to meet him now. I need to demand from him why he hadn't taken my mother to the hospital before her sickness worsened, not until now that I have to make sure she was immediately admitted to the hospital.
What if I hadn't come?
How can a man be so cruel to his wife?
My phone peeps, and when I checked through it, there was a message from my secretary informing me that two powerful companies in Arizona are ready to partner with me. All I had to do was to make a choice.
If there's one thing that's going
