His hair was neatly brushed aside, and he had a commanding presence that drew me in. Time seemed to stretch as he assessed me. So this was the Alpha of the Moon Shine Pack, Alpha Adrien. I swallowed nervously, my eyes moving from his perfect lips down to his chest, and then I froze. He was covered in blood. "I see you're here," he casually said, approaching me in calculating steps. His gaze was like a frosty wind, leaving me chilled to the bone. His mere presence commands attention. I backed away, swallowing hard. "What's wrong, darling?" he asked, his tone low and unreadable. "Are you afraid of your husband?" His aloofness felt otherworldly, and I realized he seemed devoid of human emotions. He grabbed my chin forcefully, looking at me with disdain. "You look skinny," he said, then pushed me aside and sat down. With a fixed stare, he commanded, "Help me undress." ******* Betrayed by her mate and married off to Alpha Adrien, the ruthless Alpha who holds no human emotions, Crystal Moons found herself in a web of pain and agony, rejection at its peak. Chapter 1 Betrayal
**CRYSTAL MOONS**
"Oh sweet Cain, I'm c*mming."
Maddy's loud moans echoed in my ears as my hand throbbed against the doorknob, shaking uncontrollably.
"I must be hearing things," I mumbled, pushing the door open. There was Cain, my mate, and my sister, banging the living daylight of each other, glistening in sweats as well. The scene was heartbreaking than anything I've seen in this life.
I stood frozen, mouth agape, shocked at the scene. Chills ran down my spine, and I hugged myself, overwhelmed with pain and disbelief.
My mate and my sister? I couldn't believe I had walked in on them having s*x. The two people I cared about most.
Tears filled my eyes and began to flow.
"Why, Cain?" I screamed, my heart breaking. "Why did you have to be this cruel?"
I glanced at Maddy, who glared back at me, while Cain’s eyes blazed with anger.
"Do you want to join us?" Maddy hissed, smirking. Her lips were red and swollen, her eyes glazed with lust. I realized then that I had already lost; she showed no remorse for being in bed with my mate.
"Go away and close the door, Crystal," Cain muttered, his voice low and dark. His face was emotionless, his green eyes filled with anger and disgust.
The pain coursing through me was unbearable. I couldn’t take it.
Blinded by tears, I turned and ran. This was the ultimate betrayal. I had been hurt before, but nothing compared to this.
I slammed my car door shut, started the engine, and sped away. I needed to reach my safe place to cry.
I got home quickly and saw cars with men in black parked outside.
Wiping my tears, I rushed inside to know what was happening.
My father, the Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack, sat in the living room with two men deep in conversation. My luggage was at the foot of the stairs, and my heart sank. I wasn’t even worried about what I had just witnessed; I was more concerned about why my luggage was outside.
"Father, what’s going on?" I asked, my voice trembling as I entered the living room. Everyone turned to look at me. My father had a passive expression, while the two men regarded me before nodding.
"Since she’s here now, we should be going," one of them said, standing up and extending his hand to my father. "Pleasure doing business with you, Alpha Dominic."
"What’s going on, Father?" I asked again, panic surging through me, my heart hammering loudly against my chest.
"These men are here to take you to your new Pack," he said casually, as if my life meant nothing. I couldn’t believe my ears. My father had married me off
"Did you really, Father?" I asked, tears streaming down my face. "How could you?" I felt numb and overwhelmed with grief. I didn't realize how meaningless my life was until now.
"The Moon Shine Pack agreed to a truce, but you have to marry their Alpha," he replied as if it was an obvious thing to say.
My heart sank. I felt like I was just a pawn he could toss aside anytime he pleases.
"Please, don’t do this to me," I begged, dropping to my knees. "I beg you, Father, with everything you hold dear to heart."
He couldn't just marry me off like this.
He swept his eyes over me in a swift movement and sighed, dropping his shoulders in a manner that stated he's down with me and would not listen to me.
"As my first daughter, it's your duty to protect the Pack. Marrying the Alpha will strengthen our alliance and keep us safe," he said, ignoring my pleas.
I knew my father wouldn’t change his mind once he decided. He looked down at me coldly. "Nothing will change my mind. The marriage is finalized," he said, shrugging off my grasp on his rope. His words shattered my heart. There was no going back, no matter how much I cried. He wouldn’t even look at me. I meant nothing to him.
"She’s ready to go now," Father declared in finality and my heart sank more. I couldn't believe that it would come to this. My life was never my own to begin with but I didn't realise I held no little grip on it ever.
With a heavy heart and shattered spirit, I slowly stood up and walked toward the door. Two betrayals in one day.
Great!
"You're not allowed to return to this Pack no matter what," he said, sitting there coldly. I turned to stare at him, hoping to see some traces of the father I once knew, but all I saw was disdain.
"Goodbye, Father," I murmured, the words heavy in my mouth.
I wanted to say, 'I have a mate,' but then I remembered he had cheated on me with my sister.
"This way, Miss," one of the men said, grabbing my hand and leading me outside quickly, as if he couldn't wait to be rid of me.
I didn't have time to gather my thoughts or take in the Castle one last time.
As tears filled my eyes, I thought about how my life had turned upside down. Sitting in the back of the car, watching familiar streets blur by, I saw my new reality set in. My life at Dark Moon Pack was over.
*******
After a two-hour drive, we arrived at Moon Shine Pack. I felt a wave of sadness and dread. What would it be like here? Would my new husband want me? I sat in the car, unsure about getting out.
“Ma’am, please come down,” one of the men named Frank said, bowing slightly. I took a deep breath and stepped out, amazed by the beautiful castle before me. Its tall towers and warm, golden stone walls were decorated with carvings of mythical creatures, with trees on either side.
“Come with me,” Frank uttered, pulling me from my thoughts. He led me through a golden iron door. Inside was just as stunning. The grand hall had a high glass and steel ceiling that let in plenty of light. The air felt fresh and luxurious.
In front of me was a beautiful curved staircase with a glass banister, almost like something from a fairy tale.
Frank brought me to a door on the second floor and said, “please go in.” Before I could ask questions, he left.
With trembling hands, I opened the door and walked into the most luxurious room I had ever seen. The walls had intricate stone carvings, and a king-size bed sat in the middle, looking cozy and fancy. A magical chandelier hung above the bed, and the rug added to the beauty. I was speechless, feeling like the room was unreal.
I heard footsteps and turned to see a tall, gorgeous man with broad shoulders, dark curly hair, ocean blue eyes, and a strong jawline. His hair was neatly brushed aside, and he had a commanding presence that drew me in. Time seemed to stretch as he assessed me.
So this was the Alpha of Moon Shine Pack, Alpha Adrien.
I swallowed nervously, my eyes moving from his perfect lips down to his chest, and then I froze. He was covered in blood.

With a fixed stare, he commanded, "Help me undress."
I blinked, struggling to process his order. I knew part of being married to him meant following his commands, but I thought he might at least greet me properly.
"I hate to repeat myself," he growled, narrowing his gaze. I shivered, terrified but refusing to move or obey him.
In an instant, he pinned me against the wall, his hei
