“Our love was the only case we both lost.” Brilliant defense lawyer Isabella Steele wins almost every case—except the ones against her husband. Cold, precise, and untouchable in court, she hides a heart that never learned how to love without fear. Nathaniel Steele, a ruthless prosecutor obsessed with control and justice, knows exactly how to break her defenses—because he’s the man who built them. Their marriage is a war shaped by a tragedy neither survived. Now, trapped between love and rivalry, two powerful lawyers must face the hardest verdict of all: choosing each other… or finally walking away.

I really loved this story. I am so glad that their love withstood all the pain and suffering they went through from the lie that Nate's father let him believe about his mother's death and the lost of their baby. Isabella's mother and father were terrible to her not showing her love and I am glad Nate taught her how to love. I am so happy that Nate got himself together and him and Isabella had a strong and healthy baby and a happy ending. ❤
