Chapter 1- Return Home
Arriving at the airport in AJ City, Nancy Marlon frowned because she did not understand why her parents had asked her to return home.
Previously, she had studied in City X and graduated with a degree in business administration. Her father had told her, “Nancy, I want you to return home and not stay in City X.”
Nancy frowned during the phone call with her father because she knew he was a politician in AJ City. She could not go against his orders, so she arrived at the airport at exactly 2 p.m., and her father's men already waited there to escort her home.
“Welcome home, Nancy,” her elder adopted brother, Matthew Marlon, said with a smile. Nancy frowned, as she walked with him to the car.
She sat in the back seat of the car and knew that the city fell under the rule of the popular President Nolan Alejandro and his family, after whom the city was named. They had ruled for years, and they immediately silenced any opposition party that tried to challenge them.
Nancy watched the road as Matthew started the car engine and drove out of the airport. Her eyes fell on a gigantic billboard that displayed photos of the president as well.
“Hmm...” Nancy frowned. She could see Matthew smiling at her through the rearview mirror. She ignored his smile as she continued to wonder why her parents had insisted she return home.
Upon arriving home, the security men at her father's mansion gate pulled open the huge black gate for them. Nancy watched as Matthew drove his black exotic SUV into the premises and parked. She could see her parents standing at the front of the mansion; her mother wore a red gown, and her father wore a black suit. The maids also stood behind her parents in their blue uniforms.
Nancy alighted from the car and walked up to the front of the mansion to meet her parents. She wore a red top, black trousers, and black high-heeled shoes. She approached the mansion's frontage, and her mother welcomed her wholeheartedly: “Welcome home, my beautiful angel.”
“Good afternoon, Mom, Dad,” Nancy said with a smile as she hugged her mother first. Her father then said to her, “Welcome home, Nancy. We are glad to finally have you home with us.”
“Thanks, Dad,” Nancy replied as she walked up to hugged her father. The maids greeted her: “Welcome home, Nancy.”
“Thank you all,” Nancy said with a smile to the maids. Her mother then said, “Let us all go inside.”
“Okay, Mom.” Nancy walked into the living room with her mother. She could see that the living room had not changed; it remained painted in white with beautiful flower vases arranged around it.
Nancy walked up to a black couch in the living room, where seven black couches stood in total.
“Home, sweet home,” she whispered as she sat down on one of the black couches. She saw her mother standing in the center of the living room and smiling sweetly at her.
“Mom, what is the good news? You look so excited to see me,” Nancy asked, as curiosity grew about the reason behind her mother's bright smile.
Her mother embodied pure beauty and cuteness, and at the age of fifty-one, those years did not reflect on her face at all. She still looked under forty.
Mrs. Olivia Marlon smiled and sat down on the black couch behind her. She replied, “Why wouldn't I be excited to see you, Nancy? You have changed, and you look so beautiful now compared to when you left the city five years ago.”
“Thanks, Mom, but I'm still the same,” Nancy said with a sweet smile to her mother. She knew her mother spoke the truth, for she had changed since leaving the city five years earlier to pursue her studies abroad. Her breasts had grown larger, her hips wider, and she had become a s*xy, charming young lady to behold.
Nancy knew how most people who passed beside her would pause and stare back to confirm what they saw, for she looked so adorable now. She also knew her mother loved calling her an angel because of her pointed nose, sparkling blue eyes, and long golden hair, which proved the most attractive of her features.
“Mom, I need to go upstairs now and freshen up. Then I will come back downstairs to join you and Dad for dinner,” Nancy said as she stood up from the couch.
“Okay, my dear,” Mrs. Olivia replied, unable to stop admiring her daughter. She thought to tell Nancy about the arranged marriage with the president's son but decided to wait for the right moment.
-------
Nancy smiled and walked upstairs to her bedroom. As she approached her bedroom door, she pushed it open and walked into her room. She could see that her room had not changed; it remained painted in pink with beautiful flower vases arranged around it.
Nancy walked up to her room window, pulled the curtains open, and stared out at her surroundings. She saw three sleek black cars arrive as they drove into her father's mansion and parked.
She saw some men in black suits step down from the car at the back, and they walked up to the car at the front and pulled open the door.
Nancy saw a tall man in a black suit and red inner shirt step down from the car. He gazed up at her room window, and she met his handsome black gaze.
Nancy immediately looked away from the man and shut her room curtains. She walked back to her bathroom, stripped off her clothes, and decided to take a bath before going downstairs to join her parents for dinner.
She stripped off her red top and black trousers and walked into her bathroom to bathe.
A few minutes later, Nancy stepped out of her bathroom and wrapped herself in a long white towel as she walked up to her bed to sit down and apply cream to her body. She had missed her family while in City X, and now she decided to search for a new job in AJ City since she was home and would not return to City X anytime soon.
Nancy sat on her bed, pulled open her bedside drawer, and took out her body lotion to moisturize her skin. She picked up her television remote, switched it on, and saw videos of the president displayed again on the screen.
She increased the television volume and heard the reporter state, “Good evening, citizens of AJ City. I bring you the 4 p.m. news: President Nolan Alejandro has just won the recently ended election, scoring over fifty million votes.”
“Hmm,” Nancy frowned, for she disliked the Alejandro family. She immediately switched off the television and knew the Alejandro family had ruled them for a long time and did not want another family to take power.
Nancy knew her father was a politician who worked under the AJ Political Party group, and she sighed as she decided not to worry about politics. She did not like the luxurious lifestyle her family led; she wanted a simple life for herself, her future husband, and their sweet children.
She also disliked the security men who had followed her every minute and second since her return to the city.
Nancy finished applying cream to her body and stood up from the bed to search for clothes to wear. She walked into her closet and took out a short brown gown that hugged her body tightly and accentuated her shape.
Nancy smiled and walked back to her room mirror, holding her white towel in her right hand to dry her wet long golden hair and comb it so it cascaded behind her back.
If only she knew the reason her parents had asked her to return home, she would not be there.
Chapter 2- His Choice
Charles Alejandro received a report at his hotel that his chosen bride had arrived home.
He eagerly anticipated seeing Nancy because his parents had urged him to settle down; he was their only son and the likely future president. He had many enemies, including inherited ones.
Charles had visited his company earlier that morning before deciding to go to his hotel in the afternoon and spend time with an attractive woman there in the evening.
No one doubted that he loved women; as a powerful man in AJ City, he attracted most young ladies, who knew of his reputation and desired intimacy with him.
Charles, a thirty-year-old Black man, possessed striking attractiveness, tall stature, a masculine build, and short black hair.
His mother refused to let him rest; she constantly pressed him about marriage and even showed him photos of ladies she had selected for him to choose from. Charles showed no interest in any of them, however, as he preferred his p
