Sarah has had a thing for the multi-billionaire, Vincent Laurent ever since she set her eyes on him on her favorite TV interview show. What she didn’t expect was him becoming her stepfather. But fate had another plan; her mother died and she was left in his care. Just when she thought that her ‘All-time but suppressed obsession’ that she had for him could be unleashed, he got engaged to another woman. Desperate to pull out of the ache she felt, she dangerously sought solace where she wasn’t supposed to. She thought she could play with fire, but never expected to be consumed by it.
Chapter 1: The Engagement Announcement
“You have ordered for the fifth cup tonight, are you sure you haven’t had enough, ma’am?” The Russian waiter in uniform asked Sarah Holdens, who was seated, clothed in a red dress that hugged her petite but curvy body perfectly with concern.
Grabbing the champagne glass from the waiter, she looked up at her. “I’m not under age, I can handle myself.” She said as ever politely as she could with a small smile tugging her lips.
The waiter left, and Sarah returned her attention to the Celebrant. The much older but hot multi-billionaire Vincent Laurent, whom they had all gathered here tonight to celebrate his 42nd birthday. He was the same man who had haunted her thoughts for the past three years, and whom she had been left alone under his care since a year after her mother’s death. He was her stepfather, one who her mother was married to before the cold hands of death took her away.
Sarah had been attracted to him ever since she set her eyes on him in a TV show’s interview. Her eyes traced him as he exchanged greetings with his powerful guests, and she suddenly felt a pull of moisture between her legs. She was already horny for her late mother's husband or ex-husband because she was now late. Her mission tonight was to get in his bed and have him f*ck her recklessly just like she had always fantasized. She bit her lips as she felt the moisture leaked onto her pants, her hand moving up to curb her long black fluffy hair to her neck.
Just then, their eyes met, and he smiled at her. It was a harmless polite smile, yet, made her imagine things—Wild things. Maybe her tipsiness was aiding her thoughts, maybe not, one thing was sure—they were f*ck*ng tonight.
Her thought was interrupted when Vincent moved to the center stage, raising a hand up to gather the guests’ attention. His piercing dark eyes looked fiercer under the bright lights of the hall. He had all of Sarah’s attention.
Immediately silence ensued, he started.“There is someone I would love you all to meet.” Sarah’s brows furrowed as her mood shifted. What was Vincent talking about?
Just then, from the other end of the room, a woman dressed in a fancy blue gown with blonde hair walked towards him. Sarah felt her heart plummeting as she started to get hints of what this was about. She didn’t even try to register the woman’s face, she couldn’t look.
“This is Camille Devereux, my fiancée.” Sarah didn’t wait, she leaped to her feet and exited to the hall’s balcony while applause resounded throughout the large decorated room. She felt her heart shattered, and suddenly felt lightheaded. What was she thinking? She had thought Vincent had allowed her to stay under his roof for that long because he also felt a thing for her. She was wrong, she would always seem like a daughter to him, even though she had recently clocked 22.
“Plotting a murder?” A baritone voice jolted her away from her despair. She looked to her side to find Rafael Laurent, leaning casually against one of the strong pillars. Rafael was Vincent’s cousin, and also a large shareholder/investor in the Laurent Empire, only that he spent his own money recklessly on luxury. He was Vincent’s younger version, also hot-looking but not as Vincent, or at least that was what Sarah thought since it was Vincent she had her hots for. He looked as he usually did; reckless, and quite rugged. That was Rafael’s charm.
“What do you want, Rafael? I want to be left alone.” She said, returning her attention to her foresight. She was aware that Rafael had always had a huge crush on her, but sadly, she didn't feel the same. He finally pushed off the wall and slowly walked towards her. “What? Don’t want anyone to witness you sulking over the loss of an imaginary bond that can never be?”
Sarah gasped. “I have no idea what you are talking about,” She feigned obliviousness. A knowing smirk tugged Rafael’s lips as he took a few steps closer to her. “Leave Vincent, he’s not the one for you. Do me.” He simply stated like he had spoken the easiest words on earth, only that his voice was breathy, low, and persuasive. Sarah found herself attentive, and drawn to him. It must be the work of the alcohol she had been taking tonight.
“Wh…what do you mean?” He was now right before her, there was no more space between them and his fingers had moved up to curl her hair. Her eyes traced his movements, getting attuned to his presence and actions. Rafael shifted closer to her. Now impossibly close, his cologne filled her nostrils as he leaned to whisper into her ears. “I will f*ck you harder than you had ever fantasized with Vincent.”
Sarah felt a strong wave of arousal hit her nerves. The moisture between her legs increased, and her breath came out fast now. She wanted it, whatever Rafael wanted to offer, she wanted it so bad to get her mind off tonight. She wanted to stop thinking she was little for Vincent to be attracted to. She wanted to feel wild, and free. She was thrilled.
Sarah’s mind screamed no, but her body didn’t move. Rafael, fully aware of the effect he had on her, seized the moment. With gentle but deliberate movements, he drew closer, tugging at her dress straps, letting them slip off her shoulders. He pressed a kiss to her skin, and before she could fully process it, his lips captured hers in a deep, persuasive kiss.
He pulled away only to whisper, “Or, come with me,” and took her hand. They rode the elevator to her suite, the air between them thick with tension and impulsive desire. Once inside, kisses deepened, touches grew bolder. The weight of her heartbreak and the pull of rebellion collided within her.
She knew it was wrong—yet she didn’t stop. Rafael’s attention overwhelmed her, drawing her into the moment completely.
Afterward, the room was still. Sarah lay in a haze, barely able to process what had just happened between her and her step-cousin.
Then—a sudden knock on her door broke the silence.
Chapter 2: Commotions In the Suite
The relentless knocking jerked Sarah awake. Her eyes were still heavy due to the intense sexual session she had just engaged in. The bed smelled of s*x and sweat, and there. She could feel a slight headache coming on and the need to puke. “Open the door, Miss Sarah, I know you are in there.” Her eyes snapped wide open at the recognition of the voice. That was Damian, her personal bodyguard that Vincent had entrusted her to his care.
Rafael, who was now awake, was also already walking butt naked towards the door when Sarah suddenly rushed out of the bed to grab him, her other hand holding the white sheet against her naked body.
“What are you doing? He must not see that we are together.” She urgently said in a harsh whisper, but Rafael couldn’t care any less if they were caught together. “What do I…”
“Hide,” she interrupted him. Rafael frowned, finding her suggestion ridiculous, but when the knock persisted, she pushed him towards the back of the wardrobe and had h
