Chapter 01

Pike.

The splatters of blood from that poor devil, now ingrained in my German linen suit, cause me no feeling other than the hatred of spoiling one of my favorite garments.

I confess that I am not a lover of physical torture, nor do I see any fun in firearms, they make the work too fast, and totally take away the pleasure of seeing people going crazy at my feet, giving me the information I need, and desperately asking to die.

I'm not a bad person, I'm just the part that balances the scales, followed closely by Hades, the knight who carries death not as punishment, just as justice.

Is it divine?

It will depend a lot on the point of view.

The faint excrement in front of me is the scum of humanity, shitty trafficker, who uses women and children as mules forcing them to swallow narcotics, and not infrequently, in the clandestine borders around the planet, some have cocaine, heroin and other illicit drugs exploding in their stomachs and killing them. They are just numbers, and the next day, others are enticed.

The problem with this type of people is that my family is invariably blamed for the trail of sh*t they leave along the way, even if we have no connection.

Normally I stay inside HQ, just coordinating actions, but when things get out of hand, like now, I'm the one who makes things stay exactly as they should be. Us with our precious stones, and this kind of garbage dying in the worst possible way.

- My god Lucius! Justus' voice sounds behind me, "I swear I'll never get used to your methods." He looks at me angrily as I smile "It was to extract information from the man, not to make him feel like that."

"I got all the information we needed," I keep staring at the dead man, his viscera scattered around the place. "I just applied the law of talion, my father." An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, this unfortunate man blew up many women and children, I just gave him the same fate.

"I hope this gives us some relevant information, Lucius. He looks at me sideways and I widen my smile, lighting a cigar and leaving the place.

"Throw the remains of that unfortunate man into some hole," I order one of the security guards, then I face my father and his angry look again. "Your clue was correct, the wretch is in the mansion in São Paulo, and if he can bring all that sh*t here, we'll be in trouble."

"Then we'll follow the plan." You leave today for Brazil, Gustavo and I will go in a week.

"I don't know if I'll be able to fit in among a bunch of stupid students." I sigh angrily, "But it's our best chance."

"Remember your mission, my son," he rests his hands on my shoulders. "You need to infiltrate, gain trust, and bring us names, that's all, without people exploding or going crazy in the process."

"With all due respect, my father," I let out the smoke from the cigar, "I've never failed, and this won't be the first time, I just want one head of the pack, and I'll be able to rip it off in a very clean way, if you know what I mean." I smile sideways and he rolls his eyes

"I think psychiatry was a bad choice for you. "Dad complains and I laugh loudly.

"Psychiatry was my best choice. "I throw the rest of the cigar on the lawn before entering the house and hug my father who ends up laughing at my madness." Thanks to my unorthodox methods, we have achieved what no other organization on the planet has been able to.

"It's okay, Lucius," he gives up, "I trust you." Now hurry up, and for god's sake, take your gun.

"I'll take it, even though I don't intend to use it." I kiss his forehead before heading towards the stairs. "See you next week, my dad."

I traveled twelve d*mn hours and here I am, in my country of origin and where I don't feel at home at all. To complete my degree of irritation, I won't even have time to go home, and I already need to disguise myself as an advisor to a medical school, here I stop being Lúcio Brandt, and I become João Medeiros.

No, I didn't change my name.

João Lúcio Medeiros Brandt, Medeiros inherited from my adoptive father, Gustavo Medeiros, Brazilian. Brandt inherited from my biological father, Justus Brandt, German.

Dressed in a white polo, a brown jacket, and with my glasses trying to hide my tiredness, I enter the building that is too big to house half a dozen daddy's boys wanting to play god.

The class I should guide is made up of students who show interest in my specialization, and the owner of the college, an old friend of my father, managed to put me on the circuit without arousing suspicion.

- Welcome, Lucius! Daniel greets me with a wide smile on his face and I limit my answer to a shake of the head.

"Just John here, please," I shake his hand firmly, "Can I start yet?"

"Your presentation will be in an hour, but first I need to give you some information."

"I'm all ears. "I speak as soon as he closes the office door.

"Yuri is not very accessible, a typical spoiled playboy who thinks he can have absolutely anything. "Your best chance is to get closer to the class, specifically her scholarship friend, and the other, Rafael, he's more sociable."

"It's going to be torturous to deal with this many young people," I rub my temples irritated. "Well, let's get started with this sh*t." The sooner I have that b*st*rd's head in my hands, the better.

I walk through the noisy corridors breathing deeply, I can't help but notice Daniel's air of satisfaction, who must be amused by my impatience, while I just ignore him and follow.

At the end of the corridor is a solid wood door, with a glass opening at the top, which is soon opened by Daniel, making some students paralyze in place, others follow their parallel conversations, but only two of them catch my attention.

A black woman, with voluminous hair and almond-shaped eyes, has an irritated face, and next to her, more precisely squeezing her arm, a man a little shorter than me, blond and with blue eyes, directing a spiteful look at the girl who tries, in vain, to get out of her grip.

"Good afternoon guys," Daniel says seriously, "Everyone in their seats, and Yuri, please let go of the girl's arm, please!"

So this is Yuri, I suppose the girl with him, is this Marla, the scholarship student, and by the look of hatred she directs at the boy, they are not exactly friends.

"This is your new advisor, João Medeiros.

- Thank you, Daniel, I'll follow from here. He replies with a shake of his head and leaves the room. "The first thing I need you to know is that I've been through the entire graduation process, and I understand all the difficulties, but I don't tolerate disrespect to me, much less to your classmates, so I want commitment, my future is guaranteed, It is you who need me, not the other way around.

The looks now are a mixture of indignation, disdain, and one specifically, is curiosity. I lose myself for a few moments in the almond-shaped eyes of the girl with long curly hair, until a voice makes me return to reality:

"They should have got a mentor with a smaller ego," he sneers making everyone but the girl laugh.

"They should," I return the disdainful smile, "But he probably wouldn't be able to deal with students who think they own the world, that's why I'm here." In your place, Yuri, I would behave better, unless you want to look for another orientation class. Is that what you want?

"No, sir. He lowers his head in embarrassment and I smile.

"I figured not. "I wait until he takes his place, then I keep talking." My role here is not to teach the basics, because you already know that, I'm not part of the mandatory curriculum, but if you've researched a little about me, you should know the importance I have in the medical community in this country. Enjoy my stay here, ask your questions, absorb as much knowledge as possible, if you are committed to me, I will be committed to you. Any questions?

The rest of the afternoon went smoothly, even daddy's boys decided to cooperate after my little show, and in general things flowed exactly as I wanted it to be. I couldn't help but notice that, between the lines, Marla seemed bothered by Yuri's posture, which often secreted things to the girl's ears, who sighed angrily, but remained silent.

After the brief afternoon torture, one by one, they leave the room, until in it, only me, Marla, Yuri and Rafael remain, who soon approaches:

"I read your articles and found them very interesting. He speaks excitedly. "Your thesis on drug interactions is surreal.

"I'm glad you liked it, Rafael. I smile unassumingly, putting my hands in my pockets. "We can talk about that in the next lesson."

"So, the gang usually gets together and discusses projects at the bar next door," The boy runs over his words, "Not that I think such a renowned person would want to waste time in a bar with students, but you never know, right?

I see in the invitation my chance to get closer, and even though I'm exhausted by the trip and the busy afternoon, I decide to take advantage of it:

"I don't see why it would be a waste of time. Unless they serve hot beer. I joke and he widens his smile. "I won't stay late, but we can extend the class to a less formal setting.

"Wow," he says with a frown, "This is unexpected."

"So, let's go?"

Chapter 02

Pike.

Something interesting about people in general is that they live by having their own ego massaged, and not infrequently, they massage the ego of those they deem important. Daniel just needed to plant some of my texts, newspaper articles talking about my contributions, and voila! Ten young people crazy to suck all the knowledge I can offer them.

Psychiatry was an unpretentious choice, since the initial idea was just to learn human anatomy and efficient ways of dealing with the bodies I destroyed along the way. Over time, I began to realize that physical pain is not the worst of them, while emotional pain, if used correctly, works miracles.

I am really passionate about everything that the human mind is capable of producing under pressure, I continue to study and write articles in my spare time, what no one knows is that a good part of them comes from the experience with my tortured.

As soon as we enter the bar, which is really a very beautiful pla
