First Sight Feeling
There was a different charm on the old streets of Delhi (India). Crowded lanes, old houses, and a new story of life scattered at every turn. One of these lanes was the lane where Rohan used to pass every day to go to his college.
Like every day, today also he had set out on his cheap bicycle, but today was a special day. There was something different in the air, as if a new page was about to open in his life.
Rohan was a simple, but cheerful boy. He belonged to a middle class family, where dreams were big, but the means to fulfill them were often less. He was studying engineering, and was always serious about his career. His temperament was a little different among his friends; he was not one of those who talked a lot, but when he spoke, there was a depth in his words.
Like every day, today also he was moving towards his college, pedaling fast on his bicycle, with his bag full of books hanging on his shoulder. But something or the other was always going on in his mind. Even today, he was engrossed in some maths problem, when suddenly his eyes fell on the other side of the road. There, standing near the tea stall, was a girl. She was wearing a light pink salwar-kameez, and there was a strange innocence in her eyes.
That girl, Aaradhya.
Aaradhya was a beautiful, intelligent and a little mischievous girl. She had not been in college for long, but she had won everyone's heart very quickly. Her way of laughing and the depth hidden in her eyes seemed very different to Rohan, for some reason. She was a girl with whom he wanted to spend time, but Rohan had never spoken to her directly.
That day, when Rohan's eyes fell on her, his world stopped for a few moments. The heartbeats increased, and it seemed as if time had stopped. Aaradhya had a book in her hand, and she was looking at him. But as soon as their eyes met, Aaradhya quickly looked away, and a light smile appeared on her lips.
Rohan did not know what to do. For the first time, he realised that the things he had read in books could also be true. Love, a feeling that was till now limited to words, was now knocking at the door of his life. But was it really love? Or was it just a momentary attraction?
When Aradhya took tea from the shop and started walking with her friends, Rohan's eyes remained fixed on her. He had moved ahead with his bicycle, but his mind was still stuck there. He asked himself, "Is she the one I was looking for? Is she the same girl who will start a new story in my life?"
And this is where "A Thing of Love" begins. A story where the distance, hesitation, and unspoken emotions between two hearts slowly move towards a new direction. For Rohan, this was not just a meeting, it was a turning point in his life, which will show him the way to understand and recognize his feelings.
But love is never easy. Like every story, this story too will have many twists and turns. While there will be many misunderstandings between Rohan and Aradhya, some unspoken words and incomplete meetings will take their fate on new paths.
This story is not just about love, but about that unspoken feeling, which every heart feels, but very few people have the courage to give it a voice.
It was a pleasant day in Delhi. There was a slight chill in the air, and the sun was bathing the city with its golden rays. The college campus was bustling with morning bustle. Students were busy chatting with their friends. In that crowd was a boy, Rohan. 24 years old, a simple-living man and very sensitive.
He was in the final year of engineering, but today there was a different kind of peace and balance on his face. Dreams and aspirations were often seen in his eyes, but today something new was going on in his mind.
He was sitting in the college garden, where he often used to code with his laptop. Today was also a similar day, but his eyes were repeatedly going in the same direction-the direction from where a girl was passing by. That girl was Aaradhya, a student doing Masters in Literature, whose smile hid the whole world. Aaradhya's face was very innocent, but there was a different sparkle in her eyes, as if she intended to do something new every day.
When Rohan saw her for the first time, his heart suddenly started beating faster. He had thought many times that maybe he did not believe in something like love, but on seeing Aaradhya, his heart was feeling something for the first time. He did not even know her, yet he was being drawn towards her.
Aaradhya moved forward laughing with her friends. Her laughter was echoing in the whole environment. Rohan tried to convince himself that it was just a momentary attraction, but his eyes kept looking towards Aaradhya again and again.
"Do I know her?" He questioned himself. But that girl had come into his life for the first time, yet why did it seem as if he knew her for years?
Aaradhya's life was no less complicated than anyone else's. As happy and lively she looked from outside, she was equally full of confusion from inside. Balancing family pressure, career worries, and her dreams made every day seem like a new challenge. But today was a special day for her. When her eyes accidentally fell on Rohan, she felt something strange. Perhaps this was the same feeling that people call 'love at first sight'.
Their eyes met. For a moment, time seemed to have stopped. Aaradhya smiled slightly and then moved ahead with her friends, but the echo of that smile remained in Rohan's heart. He was feeling like a fool. "Am I smiling just because she looked at me?" He tried to calm his mind.
The college day somehow ended, but only that moment was going on in Rohan's mind. He kept thinking all night why Aaradhya impressed him so much. Her laughter, the sparkle in her eyes, everything was in Rohan's thoughts.
The next day, Rohan promised himself that he would forget this feeling. "It's just a whim," he thought. But when the next morning came, and he reached college, his eyes automatically started looking for Aaradhya.
She was reading books in the library, and Rohan was watching her from a distance. He thought, "Maybe I should talk to her." But then he did not dare.
Days passed like this. Rohan saw her every day, but could not gather the courage to talk to her. He just kept looking at her from a distance and kept smiling. Sometimes he felt that Aaradhya was also watching him, but every time he convinced himself that maybe it was just his imagination.
One day, when he was sitting in the garden, Aaradhya suddenly came near him. Rohan's heart started beating fast. "Has she come to talk to me?" he asked himself.
Aaradhya asked smilingly, "Can I sit here?"
Rohan said in a hurry, "Yes, of course."
Aaradhya opened her books and started studying. Rohan was not interested in studying at all. He was just staring at her. Finally, Aaradhya asked him, "What is your name?"
Rohan replied a little nervously, "Rohan."
Aaradhya smiled and said, "I am Aaradhya."
The conversation between the two began. On the first day, they had small talks, then slowly they came closer to each other. Rohan was now realizing that this was not just attraction, but something deeper. He would listen carefully to every word of Aaradhya, getting lost in her every word.
Aaradhya also started getting impressed by Rohan's simplicity and his deep thinking. She felt that Rohan was different from other boys. His thinking, his words, everything was unique.
An unspoken understanding had now developed between the two. A relationship that was yet to be named, but a strange connection was felt in the hearts. Meeting the two had now become an everyday thing, but neither of them had spoken their heart yet.
For Rohan, this journey was not only of love, but also of understanding himself and reaching the depths of his heart. And for Aaradhya, it was like an old dream coming true, something she never understood.
It was love at first sight that was changing both their lives slowly, quietly and without much fanfare.
Next Chapter: Despite Rohan and Aaradhya growing closer, their worlds are set to face challenges that will test their relationship.
Heart palpitations
Ever since Rohan and Aaradhya met, every day began with a new hope and excitement. Their meetings in the college garden had now become a habit. The conversation between the two was gradually deepening. Today too, the two were sitting in a quiet corner of the garden, from where the beautiful view of the trees, plants and green environment of the college was visible.
Aaradhya was lost in her book, and Rohan was sitting next to her and watching her. In the last few days, he had realized that Aaradhya's laughter, her words, and her cheerfulness had made her one of the most beautiful things in his life. He wondered many times whether he should speak out his heart, but every time he felt that the time had not come yet.
Aaradhya closed the book and said with a smile, "You know, Rohan, I always used to tell my friends that one day I want to meet my favourite author. But now I feel that every day in college is like a new book for me."
Rohan listened to
